I bought the game one year after release and it was so good, single best game I've played, totally immersed in the story and the world.
Iâve owned it for a year and a half since I got it on sale but never played. After 2.0 decided to try it out and holy shit it is one of my top games of all tile

I would've definitely bought this game if it had a 3rd person
That's what I thought too but the game really excels cause of the first person. A lot of scenes would not hit the same if it was 3rd person

And you thought you were so smart to believe all the game journos that have proven to be underhanded liars in the past and it just so happens that they would get a ton more traffic if the game happened to be a disaster... and that is exactly the narrative they started pushing and suddenly the same few videos were being pushed hard by a few influences and then you had a bunch of people that had never played the game swearing up and down that they know how it plays while the people playing it were ignored and the media pretending that the previous consoles were the only versions of the game.
You aren't smart, you got conned into thinking that the consensus must be the right group to side with even when there was clear evidence that the consensus had an agenda and a narrative to push. 1.6 update is almost exactly the same as 1.0 from a gameplay and story point of view. It doesn't seem like you played 1.0 and was on the side of the sheep that had been fleeced.
