Battery life testing is essential.
i'm not an hardcore gamer too but this product can allow you to dedicate some time to play a little bit more when you don't have lot of free time. iris xe is perfect combined to this quality screen.
Amazing device, can't wait for the official launch, I really like the size of the screen and the upgrade in cpu
Same
It's looking a little large, but I think that's fine. I really appreciate how they put the type c ports on top. Looking forward to it!
"I really appreciate how they put the type c ports on top"
and I don't. That kills the Switch style dock idea.
@@fcuk_x only changes the required design
instead of docking like the switch
this could be laid flat and slid in from the front
You can then have a fan/vent system built into the base of the dock to pull heat from the device while it's running at a higher tdp.
As an added advantage of this thicker base you could have two USB ports positioned on the front.
Lack of thunderbolt pretty much killed that to begin with. For me to invest in a device this expensive that I’ll never be able to upgrade and will have to move mountains to get any type of customer - it would have to support an eGPU.
@@fcuk_x why would you be using the screen on the console if it's docked? Isn't the point of docking to output to larger screen with more performance?
Sure but 35 - 40 tdp reach closer to 100c on the win 3 so I'd say having additional cooling may be beneficial for getting the most out of the device
@@NexusFantismo see eta Prime's video on this, this does have thunderbolt support, he even connected it to an egpu and showed it
Also
Most gaming will be at 720p so the resolution of the screen is way overkill.720 looks so ugly but for framerate purposes it's a must.
Just run them at 720p with Integer scaling. Intel HD supported this since its 10th-gen.
I reckon in a few years Handheld Gaming PCs, when powerful enough, could become most casual PC users main computer.
We increasingly want our computing devices to be mobile, portable yet still be powerful.
What is not appealing having a full Windows PC connected to a large screen 4K TV/Monitor, blue tooth KB/M streaming videos, emails, browsing, Word documents etc...with a form factor that is loaded with your entire Steam, GOG and Emulation games, that you then pick up and play when travelling and on the go?
You could have cases that protect the screen double as trackpad keyboards to make it even more self contained.
snappy little unit. I bet it's an emulation beast.
100% is! I. Excited af
@@ArtsieFrog got the 1185 with keyboard. Stoked!
What’s it like? What have you emulated?
@@sidusuteloshi2086 it won't ship until later this month.
Just ordered mine I cant wait to upload some kool videos im going to test every emulator from psp to ps3 nintendo wii to nintendo switch on this thing
what game are you going to play first?
I'm going to record Wind waker and upload it.
Such a good game
How do you guys download games and from where i order mine but i really dont know much about this type of consoles
Do yall have a video, link or something i can watch to learn more?
@@jgeovinni I just got mine in the mail today.
I’ll be researching and testing it.
What do you want to know?
When I figure it out I’ll let you know if I can.
I'm definitely interested seeing that my only gaming is portable and the switch is limited on some of the newer games . I'd definitely like to see some more real life testing before I pitch out $1000 .
I believe devices like these will become more commonplace especially with Xbox game pass available on ALL PC it makes sense for their to be handheld gaming PC to take advantage of the massive amount of games there. I really wish Sony would make a PS Vita 2 because the BEST thing for me was playing my PS4 games via remote play while I was away from home, like I don't think people realized how well it actually worked over a stable WiFi connection. Happy gaming 🙂✌️
indeed the sony psp for example was without a doubt far ahead of its time and the best handheld ever
@@terrybogars8933 I also agree 💯 percent! The PSP was legendary for it's time! I think the PS Vita is actually the BEST handheld EVER created simply for the fact you can play almost ALL PS4 games via remote play. I literally beat most of uncharted 4 via remote play & that right there is absolutely brilliant 🙂✌️
@@CARLGULA but its not portable that eas the awesome thing about it
Let alone the emulation on it
@@terrybogars8933 the PlayStation Vita is 💯 percent portable, look it up bro! It's amazing, it's basically a dual analog PSP that can play PS4 games plus it's own awesome games!
@@CARLGULA did you emulate yours
Now we wait for the comparison videos with the GPD Win 3
Like this one? czcams.com/video/D8uGG3xAm0M/video.html
Too late, gpd win 3 is close but loses.
@ArtBuffalo i agree artbuffalo, also. Love the name.
Wish these Intel Tiger Lake U chips could be Undervolted.. would significantly increase performance and lower the temps and power consumption (increasing battery as well). Also they should have probably sent you the external keyboard that is made for it. Wonder how much those will cost.
Edit- Hopefully you can do some Emulation (PPSSPP, Citra, Dolphin) in your testing to see how well it can handle them at 28W
ETA Prime has a video up about it if you haven't seen it already, definitely a much watch for emulation
@@daseankelley7806 Watched part 1 and was about to watch the emulation part now! Thx though
I'm excited to see a comprehensive inspection of this console as it the current competitor to the gpd win 3 and in my opinion has a better screen and button configurement.
How did the rumble feel while playing? Was it noticable?
Also can either type c port charge the device or is there a specific port for that?
Could this be connected to an egpu ?
Will there be a dock available?
P.s.
I think I saw a video somewhere about mapping the windows keyboard to the keyboard button
Vibration motor is pretty loud and rumbly.
Both ports support charging, video out, etc.
I don't have an eGPU, but One Netbook says the ports support 40 gbps, so theoretically it should work.
There no official dock that I'm aware of, but third party USB-C docks work. With the ports on top, they're kind of awkward though, so you may want to look for one with a long cable to connect to the USB-C port(s).
I wish i could crowdfund it. My bank doesn't let me get any of these devices because they are in Hong Kong. I've tried authorizing it but they won't let me. Guess i gotta wait for it to reach US resellers and pay 20% more *le sigh*
Last week i backed it, using my girlfriends bank since mine doesn't let me.
Yea I'm Crowd-Funding mine 100%
I remember my first time using windows 10 too. why aren't you in tablet mode?
A turbo button? Nice! Kinda wish it worked just like the turbo buttons of old, dropping the speed down to be able to play early DOS games.
What modern PC software would benefit from lowering the CPU speed? I can't think of any that use timers that can't adapt. All that said, if you want to lower the CPU frequency for cooler temperatures and higher battery life, overclocking software can actually underclock too, but you can do most of what you want just by setting a lower limit in the power settings. (In fact, setting it to 99% is usually enough to disable most chips' turbo boost features, providing a bit of extra leeway in power to the GPU and such on some systems.)
If you mean this post more literally in that you want to run DOS games, just use DOSBox. Stuff that requires a 286 or lower can actually be run pretty well even on a Nintendo DS. Hardware like this will run Pentium level DOS games with extreme ease. (My now quite ancient 2-in-1 with an old Intel Atom can handle 486 games fine -- I don't have anything that really required a Pentium to test on it though.) These days DOSBox will give you better results in some ways than using a real machine (namely it's able to properly emulate a wider variety of hardware than is likely to still be functional on old machines today. If I recall there's even a setting for CGA snow for those so inclined. It also gives you less trouble setting up DMA and interrupts and such to allow multiple "hardware" working together on the same system.)
@@NazoKiyoubinbou I was more being tongue-in-cheek with that comment about the turbo button. I know that DOSBox is a thing and it has
Aya neo on steroids
Can I ask you a question? Is the built-in mouse fast enough? Is it precise? And is it true that the on screen keyboard doesn’t pop up when you play a game? Most of the games I play are old-school RPGs,like Baldurs gate and Neverwinter nights,so if it doesn’t,that will ruin the portable,on-the-go factor for me,and I would have to wait for something better to appear on the market.
Ex-plugesion.
A excited explosion of spluge.
I bought mine yesterday, JUNE BABY.
Also they said there giving out free screen protectors.
You stupid Switch Pro is coming stupid kid!
Niceee

@@imkidwithoutmother5737 This is better than the Switch Pro. Tiger Lake is the most recent Intel CPU. The Switch uses cellphone hardware, not computer parts.
improved and better looking Aya Neo copy device
Finally a decent sized handheld gaming PC.
If people love increasingly larger smart phones and massive 12'' + tablets are popular, why not for handheld gaming PCs?
Handheld PCs have to stop focusing on the wrong Gameboy demographic and onto the PC gamers
Luxurious screen size where you can see game menus and fonts at a glance, without having to focus or squint.
Bigger chassis :
+ pack more powerful specs
+ better airflow and thermal management
+ chance to pack in bigger batteries
Gives more options for PC gamers who WANT a more powerful handheld PC and don't prioritize thinness and weight that ends up being too much of a compromise.
I don't care for "battery life", when there are power outlets and laptop level battery charges everywhere.
It's like everyone still lives in 2010's low battery anxiety.
EXACTLY! I carry 2 high capacity battery packs for extending its life while on the go, and in my truck it'd be on a charger more often than not. I have a gaming laptop with an RTX 2060, but i rarely get to use it. My Switch sees a lot more use just because its easier to set up than my laptop. I'm a trucker so i game when i can afford the time. I don't want some dinky device that means well but sacrifices too much, i want a beastly powerhouse i can grip in my man hands and play while I'm taking a shit at the truck stops!
How to download a game? Is there a playstore, Microsoft store? I keep on searching it on CZcams but no one show it how🤔🤔🤔
of course the "optionnal keyboard" isn't included. i bet it's at least 50$ more
39.99$.
@@antoniorsoftware plus delivery to france xD
I had the device for only 1 week and I have a problem already so all of a sudden the mouse stop working and the feature between switching from mouse to controls are useless every time I press and hold the keyboard icon to switch between the two i get a pop up error saying (usb device not recognized) and the recommendations says try reconnecting the device if windows still does not recognize it your device may not be working properly! This is not good because I cant play anygames. Its a shame they wont even reply to my emails. Guess i learned me lesson I won't EVER purchase or back a overseas non legit company. Well good luck guys and I hope this never happens to you or you will be left with a 1200$ device that surf the web thats it no games and they are just laughing all the way to the back. And yes i did a system reset unless there is another way let me know. Thanks
How many hours of gameplay w this console give you ?
What if the analog drifting like nintendo switch? 🤔
Hi,huy,I have a cuestion for you brotha,And is the comming ??Do you think that we can play games how fifa,Microsoft flight simulator and Eurotruck simulator??A salute.I hace very hopes in this device ☮

Now we have Steam deck, the most powerful handled PC in the world
Beefy boy for a handheld.
CAN we play league of legend with this device (not wild rift )
Great video
I want to play ps2 games on this how do i do that?dont have xperience with this thanks
Just look for a PS2 emulator on pc, there is plenty of videos about that on CZcams
I wonder how many people cancled their order of this on the day they knew that Steam Deck was coming out.
Think I'm getting both
I think this is not good with win3 so i want to buy a steam deck
The Performance is bad on aaa games like cyberpunk or resident evil 8.
I wonder who much it crashes.
Why would they go Intel and not have true thunderbolt on it? That eliminates the main reason for going Intel on these handheld units: eGPU support. I think that’s a missed opportunity
It does have thunderbolt and you can use an egpu with it. check out etaprime's video.
It has a thunderbolt 4 and can connect to an eGPU.
No opportunity lost. Potential to be many casuals PC users main computer.
Could you test this with a linux distribution?
Sure, why not? czcams.com/video/7-naaBjCg0I/video.html

Its a full Windows 10 PC. You download games from Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Uplay, Origin, or you can pirate them if you want. Nobody can tell you no but your ISP.
Wow thanks for sharing i really wanted to know this and more thanks
how can I buy this
There indiegogo page, but it's not up yet for sale....at the time of this writing.

Do you have news on any upcoming other 10 inch or so laptops like the one-mix 4?
what's wrong with one mix 4?
@@fcuk_x I mean it's great despite the few compromises, but I dunno, maybe one-netbook has something similar already in the works, or there is another contender coming. It would be good to have more options.
Someday ima rack up views and subs just like you, I got great Nintendo handheld contents 🙏
testing warzone
I really don't think I would spend $1000 on a portable that can't play most games in 1080p @ 60fps
But it can , display full HD 60 hhz ,if you want for better performance there's a button you can click (turbo mode) it will set 28 tdp and you can play at 50-60 fps mostly games with medium graphic
Only the 2TB one is over $1000 right now.
And that one is sold out
Why not send the unit to a proper 'gamer' to review, not a tech only guy? I want to see high end AAA games run on it, not Beacon
A youtuber called AVA(I think) plays big games on the Onexplayer.
Get a fucking steam deck

This is quite a poor first look. You don't seem to know much about it at the beginning, and you obviously don't have a run sheet/plan for the video. That might be something to think about for the next one!
I don't think you know what "first look" means. He made a detailed review later.
