I totally agree it's way safer ever since I started one sticking I no longer climb down any tree even when I'm running climbing sticks I always rappel it's just so much easier rappelling than trying to climb down in the dark and you can use multiple step aiders cause you don't have to risk trying to climb back down them

Great video great system. I would highly encourage anyone using an assisted breaking device like the safeguard to tie a simple overhand on a bite knot on the break strand to prevent any accident from happening. Those devices (though they hold most of the time) are not designed to be hands free.

Great video. Have you tried one sticking. With the one stick method options now available it seems like packing multiple sticks in the woods is needless.

The Cruzr XC is a great saddle, but what this video shows is a multiple (3) stick method with a movable aider and a lineman's rope on the climb and a rappel descent. It is not the one-stick method. There is nothing wrong with the method shown other than the One Stick label in the title. The one-stick method uses one stick (usually with one multistep aider) moved several times while hanging from a tether to climb and then usually a rappel descent. The guy in the video was fine in everything he said.

Hey guys! Just bought my first saddle setup. Any more info on how to make this aider? Need a single step to get off the ground. Thanks!

What kind of carabiner is that you used to wrap around tree to rappel?

when you attach the repel rope/tether to the tree how do you stop it from getting loose?

It stays tied from your body weight, holding against the cinch/loop.

I got the seeker platform and while I like the design I am very disappointed in the quality control of how it came from factory. The way they cast it. There is overpour that should have been sanded rather than be left like a razor blade. Thee are also pits /holes in the cast so could possibly be weak spots that could fracture. Overall I was very let down from what I thought I was going to receive to what I actually received.

Do you open the brake up all the way ? Just wondering what controls your speed .

Thats a great question. I'll ask Chad or if you want you can send them an email at the CRUZR website.

@@TheElementWild thank you . The only reason I’m asking is bc mine won’t start to move unless I have the lever pulled all the way . Just wondering if the right hand on rope adjust for the speed going down tree .
