    Not enough people realize that Mike is undefeated on the championship stage.. 6 NBA titles, 2 Olympic Gold Medals, 1 Pan America Games Gold Medal, 1 Tournament of the Americas Gold Medal, 1 NCAA Championship, was a McDonalds 1st Team All American in high school and was even awarded a Presidental Medal of Freedom in 2016..
    Ultimately, whenever Jordan reached the biggest stage, he made sure he was the one holding the hardware at the end.

      Since realizing I, like yourself and everyone to this day, was constantly brainwashing myself that MJ was the 🐐, for no other reason than I grew up idolizing him and being told he was God and that was that 🤷‍♂️ ; I have yet to hear an argument in defense of MJ, that even makes sense
      Now to your comment:
      MJ HIMSELFFFF has said time & time again: “you cannot succeed or be the best, without failing”
      I religiously watched MJ growing up….he was god
      Ask yourself;
      why was he “undefeated”…ask yourself honestly, it’s almost like he wasn’t even close to winning 💍‘s until HoF Scottie Pippen came along…he didn’t win against ANY team on the level that LBJ has, not even remotely close…he had such a stronghold on the league when he played , essentially still does, ESPECIALLY if you listen to any old head whatsoever (to the point where if you have even 1% of a working brain in your skull, you can’t deny those guys sound like they were forced to get on their knees & proceed to orally service him before every game…and still have too 😬..it’s almost like there’s a reason?? 🤦‍♂️😂) you will see things start getting off the rails
      He then takes a break, which he did again later (notice how he CONVENIENTLY took breaks in between times where you can’t say he could have lost a finals) but also note how NOBODY brings up ‘95 when he returned and didn’t make the finals (idc if he wasn’t basketball rdy 🤷‍♂️ Tf did he come back at that time for then?) It literally makes no sense, and it’s extremely odd why it’s misrepresented that he’s “always got the job done/his playoff record is immaculate” Ntm the fact the bulls had an AMAZING record year he left: almost like that team was really good plus they had Michael Jordan??? Almost the diametric opposite of taking an entire team of 🗑 to the finals your 3rd year into the league, and then doing it again a decade later, after going 9 straight times Lmao…
      He also had the best coach of all time during those years, AND the last 3, had THREE HoF’s and THE BEST REBOUNDER OF ALL TIME, on the starting lineup
      This is all, without even throwing in the fact that the league/game, was objectively EASIER then (nobody then knew you could play like MJ until MJ, Allen Iverson was probably the first true, top tier player, we had seen play that way after being introduced to that style; the league n the last 15 or so years, has so much more talent it’s not even comparable whatsoever)
      The fact is: everyone was so caught up being brainwashed their whole lives that MJ was god, you all still haven’t woken up 🤷‍♂️ the media was built AROUND him because it was before the internet/social media (ask yourself what all of this ^ and truly reminisce back to those days/times….) and how everything I’ve alluded too, not only COULD or DID ensure these things, think about why would the powers that be, NOT ensure those things..

      Yea but lebron was supposed to lose most of the finals he lost, except 2011 finals. He played against arguably the best team ever in 4 finals, and twice vs KD. And his teammates were too high during the nba finals to even know what’s going on. His losses are reasonable all I’m saying, except for 2011.

If jordan had 1 finals mvp on his team let alone 2 all stars you think he's losing to that mavs team? But every era isn't equal and "the bar" isn't rising. Ratings are continuing to suffer because today's sissified version of the NBA is a merger between the WNBA and the WWE. Flopping, euro-travelling, piss poor fundamentals, along with the "face of the League" playing very little defense, taking 4 or 5 steps without dribbling, whining to the Refs for not bailing him out when he shows he is too old to do what he's trying to do even WITH load management.

  • @IkeThe9th
    @IkeThe9th Před 4 měsíci +4

    It’s not close. Michael “Air” Jordan didn’t win championships “sometimes.” He never saw a Game 7 in the finals. 10 time scoring champ. 9 time All Defensive First Team. 5 time MVP. 6 time Finals Champion (double 3-peater). 6 time Finals MVP. He is the ONLY player in league history to be: Scoring Leader, All Defensive 1st Team, Regular Season MVP, Finals Champion and Finals MVP in the same year. Even if Lebron accomplishes that (which he hasn’t and won’t), MJ accomplished that unbreakable record four (4) times.
    However, Michael Jordan’s peak was in 1988, well BEFORE his championship run: He led the league in scoring, steals, assists and was the Defensive Player of the Year and its MVP that year. In essence, he was the best offensive player and the best defensive player in the same year. That is an NBA record that still stands today and it’s why we wear what you younger folks call “Jordan 3’s” (we simply called them “the 88’s” my junior year in high school - I wore the ‘89s for graduation).
    Lebron is great, but he is not the greatest. He is barely one of the Top 5 Lakers of All Time (and I’m truly sorry about that) because he dominates this era. They say you can’t compare eras, sure… but NBA records are eternal and don’t change with the times. If you want to BE the best for your era - you have to consistently BEAT the best of your era.

    What people fail to realize is that Lebron spends MILLIONS on his body and he trains with the most up to date training Jordan did not spend that much money on his body and he didn’t even have the same technology available and the training. He did weights with Tim Grover and honestly for the time Grover did what was “best” for athletes but that kind of training is NOWHERE to be found anymore with these athletes it’s outdated and doesn’t build the fastest strongest and most agile athletes.
    If Jordan took his same tenacity and will and drive to succeed and to win and he had access to the same updated technology and training he would be that much better than the guys who are currently playing.
    Prime Jordan would still dominate today’s NBA WITHOUT all the up to date training. You add in all that and he’s playing 20 years and he’s got 10+ titles easy.

    When Lebron ties/eclipses MJ's championships I will put his achievements on Jordan's level and still side with MJ. Period.

    Jordan willed his way to 6 rings…. Lebron complained, jumped ship, got people fired, surrounded himself with all stars in their prime, actually manufacturing his teams….. and still lost more rings than he won…….NO comparison!

    6-9 250 Lebron James would destroy Michael Jordan. Dr.J , George Gervin were better than Jordan.

    Lebron wasn't even the best guy on that team. How he gonna be considered the greatest when he never knocked down a winning shot in the playoffs?

      As a 25 year old agreed. This shit is not generational. I hate when niggas say "Young guys will say lebron." The stats in these polls do not back that up.

    LeBron James lost in the Olympics. MJ won the Olympics as a college player. LBJ has faced the weakest East Competition to get to the Finals 10 times while he was on far superior team with 2 + All-stars and choosing at the deadline what player comes in to make the team the best they can be. And when he got to the Finals with his super team in 2016 he faced a not so dominant GSW 73-9 team who did not dominate KD & Russ OKC team on their way to the NBA Finals. That does not make LBJ the GOAT...
    MJ on the other hand once he got his rookie head coach Phil Jackson and his rookie teammate Scottie Pippen to join the Bulls they never lost its that simple and the road to get to the Finals was a gauntlet of teams that MJ kept from winning. Hakeem chose to make his way to the Finals the years MJ retired and when MJ returns he chose not to make the NBA Finals anymore lol

    No one better than LeBron for searching out a better team so he can win a championship. Team hopper and flip flopper. I pull up his flopping videos just for the comedy. His acting hurt is fabulous. But when men were men I'll take Jordan every time. So many players better than LeBron too many to count. Men that will fight to the last breath and it sure ain't LeBron.

      Wilt averaged 30 in regular season, 22 in the playoffs and 18 in the finals. Even the 1962 season where he scored 100 in a game and averaged 50 a game, he immediately dropped to 35 a game for the playoffs same season. Because the had only 8 teams in the league.
      Wilt only won 2 rings and disappeared many times when he was needed the most.

      So is Kobe Bryant 2nd all time because he scored 81 points, second highest in history? Is David Thompson 3rd all time because he has the 3rd highest point in a game with 73 points? Is Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lilliard 6th and 7th all time because they once scored 71 points in a game?
