We ran into your precious family at the Co-op today!! We didn't want to invade personal space or time....but as we said hello, Rebekah genuinely took her time to acknowledge us and the children were so respectful! I can't imagine what it's like to go places and total strangers recognize you and you have no idea who they are, but a kind hello and greeting was what we received! That speaks volumes for her heart and love for people! And what an example she is setting for her children!!!! If we all would take that same approach to kindness what a wonderful world this would be!!! ,♥️🥰

I was 17, I think, when we went to the World's Fair in Montreal (late 60's). My father said, Wait till you taste the beef up here, and he let me order Filet Mignon. He was right. He said it was because their cows were grass fed and in our country, not. I have never forgotten that flavorful meal. I feel honored when I am able to buy beef from a farmer!

Watching that cat follow you reminds me when my little children and I would check fence. I'd be in the lead, two children, then the dog, the cats and then the goats and chickens would follow in line. Literally walking the fence with us. So one time we were near the road and this scene caught the eye of a passerby and they pointed and laughed. I looked back to see what they were looking at and realized we were quite the comical scene!

I relate with Justin about thinking that permaculture was just the way things were done, only to realise later just how unique and special it is. My parents have a hobby farm that was in a poor state when they purchased it. Now, 20 years later the soil is alive and the grass is thriving because of their stewardship. I didn't realise just how "hippy" they were when I was a child but am so thankful for their guidance. Now my husband and I are striving to practice permaculture on our little suburban block in Sydney, teaching our daughter the value of life, and the effort and sacrifice that goes into growing food.
