I mean.... Anyone who wants to actually be a singer needs to see this. It's a masterclass. No antics, three songs back to back, no auto tune, no gimmicks, two of them powerhouse songs. There will never be another like this lady. The way she goes effortlessly from head voice to chest voice, power to delicacy, the range, without doing too much, honoring each song's melody and making the audience play into her hands. This was spectacular!!!!!

nobody past...present...future could ever compare or come close to the talent that is Whitney Houston, she made a statement that night and had a point to prove with the negative press swirling about her personal life at the time. Her poise and stage presence and god sent gift of a voice were and will continue to be unmatched.
Total talent, class and ultra hard work. No vulgarity or foul language or crude behavior. She didn't need to rely on anything but the magnificent simplicity of her powerful voice.

I’m a shocked and saddened that you guys didn’t know about Porgy. Porgy and Bess was a very famous black opera. It’s originally debuted in 1935 in Boston before going on to Broadway. Whitney was one of the only artist that was labeled as pop/RnB/gospel who also incorporated opera and/or Broadway musicals into her performances. That’s why she’s the greatest vocalist of all time. Watching her go through these massive demanding songs like they were nothing is nothing short of a miracle. I’ll say it from now until the end of time, Whitney just used her instrument far greater than anyone. There’s a reason why she’s the voice.

There’s a reason that Whitney has the best selling album and best selling single for a female artist. I don’t think she ever really reached the top end of her voice. Sometimes, it almost seemed that she was restraining her voice. She was a truly magnificent vocalist.

Jennifer holiday got a hold of the fact that Whitney was demolishing "I am changing" on her first tour and requested for her to stop singing the song. Whitney turned "I am changing" into probably one of the best live vocals ever recorded. Check out her performance of the song in both California and the ultimate performance in London at Wembley both around 1986 87 she wore that song out in london, vocally. To where there was an article written about her performance. The writer stated "whitney had people in the audience going into fits and passing out"
