In 2002, Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN hit theaters with a bang! Does it hold up today? Here's my review! Watch the teaser trailer here: • SPIDER-MAN (2002) Orig... #SpiderMan
Subscribe To Me For Good Luck there’s always one Tom Holland hater who doesn’t even pay attention to his Spider-Man’s development so they use it to slander him. Just shut up dude🤦🏽♂️
When he sits on the bed with aunt may and he tells her ‘I really missed him today’ I cry everytime without failure. So much heart , it doesn’t feel like a superhero action movie as much as a real kid getting hit with powers that changed his life for better or worse. I feel like we don’t get that feeling from superhero movies anymore. My fav Spider-Man movie , my fav superhero movie.

@trequor Tom Holland Spidey didn’t have economic problems. His high tech suit made by ‘uncle’ Tony and if he have problems he just called Happy and poof problem solved.
As someone who was a kid in the early 2000s, Raimi's Spiderman movies were the first time I ever saw a superhero on the big screen. They introduced me to a hero that felt real and relatable- who was someone who I could believe in
I remember the games, they were so cool, these movies and incredible hulk was the coolest shit ever, and seeing it evolve into ironman then avengers was amazing, that changed my life
Spider-Man 3 is the breaking down of Spider Man. He's overwhelmed by everything and villains are coming from everywhere and are progressively getting stronger. Peter almost lost himself to Venom because he felt overwhelmed and lost between trying to hold onto Mary Jane and his duty as a Hero
Spider-Man 3 is seriously underrated. Not in execution, but the unique ideas they had in it. Peter regresses and becomes an asshole because he's never had to deal with success before. He's like a starved kid in buffet; he doesn't know how to control himself. He spent so long being a loser that when he finally won at life, it got to his head. And it all goes downhill. That's an idea I will always appreciate.
I liked that scene too. It just feels satisfying looking at a character you root for who always getting bullied and then finally dont give a fuck anymore.
Seems like that’s what Sam Raimi wanted. Take the entire black simbiote out of the equation. It really feels like it’s Peter Parker trying to control his ego and not losing sight what is important in life. It’s not about success or fame but doing what’s right.
EDIT: “I know I’m not your father” “Then stop pretending to be!” Love this scene to this day and it makes you really feel Ben’s emotions towards Peter. The pay off at the end with him saying “I have a father. His name was Ben Parker”. Amazing.
So true. Spider-Man was the first movie series to bring us out of the dark ages and into a new era. Same thing with the video games now, they're bringing us into a new era.
@S.R Yes, I just watched Spider-Man 2, and the tone of those movies are really different from the MCU. It's always filled with jokes now, and the characters in those movies felt more relatable to me.
@@CaptainCushty I mean in all likelihood you are right but I'm struggling to think of a time when his name was first mentioned. I don't know did Elijah Price mention him?
@@CaptainCushty Maybe, But the other actors who have uttered the name "Spider-Man" were simply eclipsed by the might of Campbell's magnificent chin. (I dunno)
I'll never forget the cinnamon toast crunch with the toys in it from spiderman 3. My parents only let me have cinnamon toast crunch once and it was because I NEEDED that toe
Hell yes! This movie holds a special place in my heart. This was one of the first movies I ever saw in theaters. 🤧 I can never get tired of these movies
Makes sense. He's instantly recognizable. So often you hear "RDJ is just iron man at this point" or "Chris Evan's is a real life captain America". But as far as I can tell, JK Simmons portrayal of JJJ is the only supporting/side character I ever see people putting up on that level. No one is asking for Gary Oldman to come back as Gordon, or Emma Stone back as Gwen... but JK Simmons should always be JJJ imo.
Tedd Jasiczek yeah, he rocked it, as did Michael Keaton as the Vulture, it takes a special actor to be as menacing , or even more so even more, without the villain costume as they are when in it.
He did man. And that final fight scene is still *BRUTAL* today. Only LOGAN surpasses that level of brutality. But yeh when u have a name like *DA FOE* you a SPECIAL villain.
This is without a doubt my favourite film ever. Dafoe absolutely kills it as Norman, Raimi completely gets the character, the tension is amazing. It does Spider-Man so well. A lot better than the Holland films.
Fave J Jonah Jameson line has to be when Peter calls him out for slandering Spider-Man and his response was “I resent that. Slander is spoken. In print, it’s libel.”
@@forgiveoursinsco ohhhh they will. They will make him a caricature of himself. He won't have that nuance. Hell just be a jerk that hates Spiderman and spouts one liners, the end.
Bob Dylan let’s be honest no newspaper stuff like that really happening nowadays if we’re being realistic. The MCUs take turning JJJ into an Alex Jones type of internet guy is a stroke of genius in my opinion. But to each their own.
@@masterstumpy3583 no he isn't? Did you watch the movies? He's an award winning newspaper editor who's well respected. He's not some hack. And he has a family, and a wife, and a daughter he adores, and does very very much so care about the city and has integrity. He's furious when he prints a fake photo for example. He almost cries when Spiderman isn't around to take on doc oc and admits he was wrong. Watch the movies again. He's not just some angry Alex Jones like reporter.
I feel like the cheese was necessary looking back now, considering Raimi was paying tribute to the '60s Spider-Man comics and all its campiness, not to mention the soap opera of the comics. In spite of the superficial details like the web-shooters and the intellect, Raimi nailed the tone and message of the comics pretty well.
if you idk JUST remain knowledgable about its Superman the Movie inspiration and 9/11 post filmmaking, then you will eat up the cheese! It`s a timeless masterpiece!!
I love when people acknowledge that a movie isn't perfect or a masterpiece, but it's something that means a lot to them and that's why they rate it so high. I was in my 20s when the Raimi trilogy came out, but the movies didn't impact me as it did others. I am glad to see people talk fondly about them without lashing out at those who love other Spidey reiterations. There's Spidey for everyone. And that's what we should be celebrating.
I can’t get enough of the Spider-Man vs Green Goblin fights in this movie. Also, the scene when Osborn turns into the Goblin scared the crap out of me as a kid.
Same! The goblin transformation and the disintegration of the board members in this movie, and the hospital scene in this movie, were all scary as heck when I was a kid lol. When I eventually found out Raimi was usually a horror director it made alot of sense XD
I’ll never forget my mom letting me out early for a doctors appointment when I was in the 3rd grade and it was just her surprising me and taking me to see this in theaters when it was released.
I don't care that Mary Jane was often in distress. Kirsten brought so much vulnerability to her that she made me care about the character. Also, her chemistry with Tobey was perfect as they were dating during shooting.
I hated the fact that there were no consequences. We pretty much knew she was never in any real danger and Spider-man and a little plot armor would save her.
@@iamquirkless9264 Just saw this question. Sorry about that. :) Kirsten Dunst briefly dated Tobey Mcguire during the shooting of the first film. She then dated Jake Gyllenhaal (who was rumoured to take over the role of Peter Parker as Tobey had serious back problems at the time). However, Kirsten Dunst said that she didn't feel comfortable working with Jake in Spider-Man 2 and Tobey recovered anyway and reprised the role. Also, James Franco had a huge crush on Kirsten during the shooting of the first film which caused tensions on set.
matt krug idk man shit is hard to watch mj is such a poorly written character in the films she’s essentially just a hoe and man her screaming yikes my ears
matt krug I personally found FFH to be pretty great. A bit darker than Homecoming, and it had Mysterio. At the very least I feel like it’s the best live action Spider-Man since 2.
Jacob Brodeur you should watch tasm 1 and 2 if you really know and love Spider-Man you’d appreciate those movies more than the mcu ones since they’re more faithful to the character
“GO WEB!” “Flyyy!” “UP UP AND AWAY WEB!” “SHAZAM!” “GO!” 🤏 “GO!” 👍 “GO WEB GO!” 🤟 I love this movie so much 😂❤️ and Spider-Man 2 is an absolute masterpiece 🙌
This movie felt like a big moment when it came out. It felt like the dawn of a new era for blockbusters and cinema in general. I love this movie. It feels weighty too - like an actual, solid piece of filmmaking. My problem with the new Spider-Man films, is that they're way too lightweight and throwaway.
Yeah, I think the new spiderman films are good, but I think the oversaturation of comic movies is a part of the reason why they don't feel... epic. I think another reason is because it's a coming of age spiderman trilogy. In theory, the next one should be the most grand yet, of the new trilogy at least.
Yeah I feel like the new movies just feel too kiddish like they are trying to cater more towards the younger generation. The stakes don’t really feel like they are there they don’t feel anywhere near as serious as the original films.
You're 100% correct about the movie being a big deal when it came out, and how it felt like a new age of movies. I think a lot of people who either weren't alive or were very young when it came out don't really grasp just how much of a pop-culture behemoth this movie was. I vividly remember the build-up to this movie, and it was *everywhere.* It wasn't a movie... it was an event. It felt bigger than even the biggest current films. I swear, I feel like I saw more hype and coverage back in 2002 over _Spider-Man_ than I saw in 2019 with _Endgame._
Goblin: Wake up little spider, wake up. You're not dead, just paralyzed...temporarily. You're an amazing creature Spider-Man. You and I are not so different. Spider-man: I'm not like you you're a murderer. Goblin: well to each his own. I chose my path you chose the way of the hero and they found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. Inspite of everything you've done for them eventually they will hate you. Why bother? Spider-man: because it's right. Goblin: here's the real truth. There are 8 million people in this city and those teeming masses exist for the sole purpose of lifting the few exceptional people onto their shoulders. You, me? We're exceptional. Goblin: I could squash you like a bug right now! But I'm offering you a choice join me imagine what we could accomplish together what we could create. Or we could destroy case the death of countless innocents in selfish battle again and again and again until we're both dead. Is that what you want? Think about it, hero!
I can't help but think there was no copy and paste there. You just typed all of that by memory and if you did... bravo. Bravo! Tobey Maguire Spider Man forever. ✊
@@bigkmoviesandgames My dude...I applaud you for typing out the whole dialogue of this scene. And I was playing it out in my head as I was reading it and you didn't miss a beat. I love it!! Tobey is the man for sure 👏👏👏
I miss the feel of the Raimi movies. They get so much emotion out of me. There's so many scenes where I either tear up, get chills everywhere or just get a dumb smile on my face and so on. I feel almost none of these things from the more recent Spider-Man movies and it's so disappointing because I love Spider-Man and it really sucks watching a Spider-Man movie and feeling almost nothing. I'd really love to see them come back for one last time and do Spider-Man 4 and I know it's not likely to happen but I like to think it'll still happen someday
I like this version the best too especially for movies. I don’t care for the newer stand alone movies as much but the newer version fits better with the Avengers so it’s kinda conflicting. The newer ones should take some notes from the Sam Raimi Spider Man as far as the drama and character aspects go. A movie with high school drama and one obvious gotcha moment isn’t enough to draw me in.
Maybe there is still a chance we can see Tobey return as spider man in ITSV 2. Christopher Miller, who worked on ITSV said on Twitter: *We pitched the Sony brass an ambitious tag involving Spider-Ham, Tobey, Andrew, and Tom. They felt it was “too soon”*
Yeah, the feels is what makes the Rami films for me too. Even the new Marvelized ones, while enjoyable, don't have that bittersweet tone, a perfect balance of soap opera/action/comedy/drama. Sure he doesn't have mechanical web spinners and Green Goblin looks not great, but it just feels right.
This one will always be my favorite. Spider-Man 2 was good too but this one I think is still the best. I remember when I was nine it came out and we went and watched it three times in the theater 😂
Love Toby as Peter Parker. And people complain about the third movie but I loved it all the same. Peter and Harry working together in the final fight was the hypest shit.
YEEEAH! I literally jumped out of my seat with excitement and so did the audience.. it was the best moment and THE FIRST tag team finale ending battle in a movie!!!!!!!!
Spiderman 2 is a better overall movie but personally I love the first Raimi Spider Man. I just loved the tone and especially Willem Dafoe’s performance. Such a nostalgic film
Fun Fact: Willem Dafoe actually doing 90% of his stunts in this movie. And even he's already terrifying without wearing his Green Goblin mask. He is an underrated actor tho. People should praise him more for his powerful actings.
The first time in my life I ever felt anything like hype was at the end of the second film, where Harry begins to break, and hears the ghost of his father in his head, smashes the mirror and discoveres all the hidden goblin tech. I still get goosebumps from how good that scene was.
He just like, is the best MOVIE Spiderman, maybe he doesn't fit as well as Holland but he is the only Spiderman that stars in a MOVIE, not a marvel flick or a modern film, a MOVIE.
Tom Holland is fine, it's just his SPIDER-MAN that's the problem. He's written like garbage. The romance is written like some Pre-K garbage. It's not even awkward-cute, its just AWKWARD. Both Homecoming and Far From Home were written for KIDS. Meanwhile, Sam Raimi's Spiderman is written for HUMANITY. Everybody can enjoy 1 and 2. 3 is just okay, but we know it wasn't Raimi's fault, it was the studio's fault.
Just saw it yesturday again. Proabably haven’t seen it for about a decade and I didn’t forget a single second of what goes down, it gave me such nostalgia and is just as exciting as when I was a kid.
When JJJ refuses to give up Peter even though his life was on the line was amazing. You learn so much about him as a person so quick. On rewatches I tear up a little
Ain’t that “despite everything you’ve done for them, eventually they will hate you.” just the truth? Green Goblin predicted the cancel culture for real.
That's just the nature of people. We're fickle. Look at how we treat celebrities or government officials or eachother for that matter. And the more attached to a person you are, the more severe and or sudden that change in opinion will be.
That TRAILER!!! I thought I dreamed that or made it up in my mind because I remembered being blown away by it because of how amazing it was, but then never saw it again!!! But you just proved it was REAL!! And showed it !!!!!!!!! I just about cried!!!!!! Jermy Jahns
I really hope if they ever do a live action Into the Spiderverse, they bring Toby back as middle aged Spider-Man from the Raimi universe, cheesy dialogue and all.
I remember when I saw it in a theater, I was mesmerized and was pumped to play the ps2 game, and wanted so bad to see the sequel, that was a very magical moment for me and my little brother at the time.
The one thing nobody talks about is how amazing and brutal the fight scenes are. The final battle in spiderman 1 scared me as a kid, insanely brutal. The train scene in Spiderman 2 is the GREATEST action set piece of all time, and even the subway scene in Spiderman 3 is really, really good
Tobeys Spider-Man threw hands at the drop of a hat. Garfields Spidey was more into the agility and web tricks, Hollands Spider-Boy just relies on his suit. Toe to toe the original Spider-Man trilogy has the toughest Peter Parker
This movie is still one of if not the best superhero origin movies ever. Love how dark and violent the end fight is as well. The MJ and Peter scene at Norman's funeral is also classic Spider-Man stuff, completely nailing the character.
This is the movie that I feel influenced me the most in life. Because it was the movie that got me into acting, and Spider-Man was and 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘴 my favorite character
Saw this movie in the theater when it came out and thought it was great. I love that it's one of those movies you call rewatch over and over and still catch new things. For instance, it wasn't until this year when I noticed that when Peter is first testing out web slinging, he was on the rooftops and he hadn't even made his Spiderman costume yet, he was in street clothes. Anyway, at one point he swings from one roof to another but he doesn't know how to stop so he smacks hard right into a wall. That wall was painted with a big advertisement, like a billboard, the ad had a woman driving a car. The spot on the wall where Peter hit was the windshield of the car in the ad. Like a...bug...going SPLAT! into a windshield. Can't believe it took me this long to get that!
That movie was so good at the time, that my 5th grade teacher brought his spider special edition comics from the 80's or 90's and had us read them, learning the origins of the green goblins. Yeah, Spiderman has a special place in our hearts especially for that time
@@danglydang3410 Part of it was his fault and part of it wasn't. He did a good job on Begins with you caring about Bruce out of the suit. TDK had Ledger Joker.....so yeah....anything that wasn't Joker was just okay. Not Nolan's fault there. Heath did too good of a job (if such a thing is possible). TDKR on the other hand...waaaaaaay too much Bruce. And it wasn't all that interesting. I think the whole movie only had maybe 20 minutes of Batman in it. Just my opinion of course.
@@SkySoFew I respect your personal opinion though I disagree with the comment that Nolan never understood Bruce wayne/Batman as a charecter. He definitely understood the charecter more than any other directors before even Tim Burton. Even Burton himself said that Nolan captured the spirit of the charecter that he never understood . Do I think that Nolan completely got it right? No that will go to the animated series but he did care for the charecter and the man underneath the mask , same as spider-man I care for Peter Parker not spider-man if you really don't care for the man underneath the mask than you don't care for what is going on that is what Raime and Nolan understood more than others .
@@drbjr99 no you didn't fam im just merely commenting, because i agree with everything you said, some people always say the cheese in this movie is bad but i disagree strongly
Sam Raimi has gotten caught up in commerical success over the years, and it kind of goes unnoticed what a great filmmaker he is. Evil Dead trilogy? Darkman? Quick and The Dead? All brilliant!
Mannn, had to come back to see what you been up to since the pandemic took out the theater industry for the time being and.. I'm definitely not disappointed!! Keep up the dope work bro!!
Eric Voss made a good point that JJ doesn’t hide Peter’s identity out of loyalty but out of $$$ and exclusivity. He didn’t want his source getting out. And that’s a nice way to have the best of both worlds
This movie holds a place near to my heart. My family didnt have much growing up, so birthdays where a small toy and a meal, we didnt have the money to do more. I was 5 and saw the ad on tv for this movie called spiderman coming out near my birthday and I just thought I really want to see that. I went around the neighborhood collecting cans and doing chores to find money for the movie. On the day of my birthday I said I'd go to a friends house and went to the theater with a pocketful of change. I didn't know how money worked, so I just dropped it all on the counter and said I want to see spiderman. The guy at the booth helped me out by counting my coins, helped me with the menu and brought me to the auditorium. And there I was, with my small popcorn and my medium coke, enjoying the birthday gift I had worked so hard for. I didn't really understand the plot, I was scared shitless during Norman's transformation to the point that I had nightmares and thats how my parents found out. But I was so happy. I fell in love with cinema at that moment. I can't hear the opening theme without tearing up a bit, it brings back the feeling that I could do everything and that I would work my way to my goals. It's my most cherished cinema going experience. And to this day that is still how I celebrate my birthday. I have no party for myself, no gifts (my gf and mother always plan something now and get me a little something) but I still go to the cinema and with the spare change I got through the year I buy myself a ticket, a popcorn and a coke and feel invincible. Thank you Jeremy for reviewing this, your videos mean so much to me, they helped me think about the world in a different way in a time I needed it, they even lead into meeting my said girlfriend, but thats a story for another time. Thank you for your time and effort, I will keep watching everything you make
Spider-Man 3 is not as bad as everyone remembers. It had some bad stuff in it, but I still consider it to be a great movie. It's at the very least better than the MCU Iron-boy movies lol
I'm glad you noticed that JJJ didn't tell Goblin that Peter brought the photos of Spider-Man. I rewatched the movie after an entire decade this year and was surprised to see that in the movie. He may be an ass but when it comes down to it he does have more behind him.
"And he's riding around on that glider thing And he's throwing that weird pumpkin bomb, Yeah, he's wearing that dumb Power Rangers Mask, But he's scarier without it on..." -Weird Al, "Ode to a Superhero"
I've rewatched 1, 2, and even 3 way too many times now... and I ought to come back to those someday. Can't get enough of Sam Raimi's vision. Not sure if a popular or unpopular opinion, but I have yet to see a Spider-Man solo film that beats the original trilogy. I'm serious. I still love 3... even with all the bullshit production interference going on in the background. Also, recent Spider-Man flick fight scenes don't even come close to the epic, consequential nature of Sam Raimi's works.
I was 11 years old when 2001 came around, and most of my childhood memories were pretty murky. I only remember seeing the trailer when I was a kid, but couldn't remember if I was that excited for it (even though I'm one of the biggest Spidey fans living today). It's kinda interesting how one of my favorite movies of all time just kinda came and went away in this short phase that's my childhood, barely leaving a distinct imprint on my memory. Then Spider-Man 2 came along and my Spider-Man fanatic status was definitely sealed in history.
When I was kid, I used to go on the internet to read up on action movies that were coming out. Mostly this entailed Star Wars prequel news, and rumors surrounding a 5th Batman installment(in continuation Schumacher's films). One of the things I saw, though, was a picture of the Green Goblin, and when my older brother called me a loser when he also saw the picture. Considering that the costume looked like some cheap Power Rangers outfit, I can't say I blame him, but part of me was more or less just unconvinced whether it was a real movie or not. Back in those days, being a kid and all, I couldn't tell the difference between fake internet rumors concerning sequels and actual movie news. Later that same year, when I saw The Fellowship of the Ring, the first Lord of the Rings film, there was a trailer before the film for Spiderman. It blew my mind, but not so much because I was a huge Spiderman fan. The truth is I liked the 90's cartoon and enjoyed reruns of the older Spiderman and His Amazing Friends show, but what amazed me was that I could tell that it was going to be visually spectacular. It blended what I thought only worked in animation with live-action angles that I had only seen in The Matrix. I did everything to make sure I was able to see it the day it came out, May 3rd, 2002. I'm not lying when I tell you that I didn't have to look up that date. However, when the movie did finally come out I was disappointed. I was 12 years old, and I felt like it was a little kids movie in the way it embraced the cheesiness. Ultimately, I kind of just decided it was good. It didn't take long for me to look past the faults and enjoy the film anyway. I ended up buying it on DVD and enjoying it for years to come, but the general life lesson was to not get my hopes up over a movie. In the end, it wasn't so much the movie's fault, but my own for expecting it to be something more than it could be. I went on to read the Spiderman comics and to appreciate the source material more fully. As a result, I think I appreciate it even more today.
on its own, the emo dance seems lame, but that's actually a huge character moment for peter. Cuz he's showiing what a piece of trash he is to not one but TWO girls.
Don't forget to check out 2.1 and the editors cut of 3. 2.1 is amazing and the editors cut of 3 just add a bit more of what you expected from Sam Raimi's Spider-man movies

Seems like that’s what Sam Raimi wanted. Take the entire black simbiote out of the equation. It really feels like it’s Peter Parker trying to control his ego and not losing sight what is important in life. It’s not about success or fame but doing what’s right.
Still better than Andrew Garfield films and the spiderman films we have had since. I don't like spiderman as iron man jr.

“Then stop pretending to be!”
Love this scene to this day and it makes you really feel Ben’s emotions towards Peter. The pay off at the end with him saying “I have a father. His name was Ben Parker”. Amazing.
SNG minor correction: Peter actually responds with “Then stop pretending to be!”

@S.R Yes, I just watched Spider-Man 2, and the tone of those movies are really different from the MCU. It's always filled with jokes now, and the characters in those movies felt more relatable to me.

Best decision to put him on the new movie. He can't be topped.
he’s made for the role! He was the best character with the best acting in all 3 movies
He wasn’t playing Jameson; he IS Jameson!

Dafoe beyond nailed Osborn/Goblin. He's like Marvel's Heath Ledger.
Tedd Jasiczek yeah, he rocked it, as did Michael Keaton as the Vulture, it takes a special actor to be as menacing , or even more so even more, without the villain costume as they are when in it.

@cptamazing12 Batman & Robin was full of cheese and camp, but that’s what led to it being the most massive failure in comic book film history.

Well boy your in luck
I don't care that Mary Jane was often in distress. Kirsten brought so much vulnerability to her that she made me care about the character. Also, her chemistry with Tobey was perfect as they were dating during shooting.
wait really? i thought Kirsten was dating Jake Gyllenhaal during the movies came out?
I hated the fact that there were no consequences. We pretty much knew she was never in any real danger and Spider-man and a little plot armor would save her.
@@iamquirkless9264 Just saw this question. Sorry about that. :)
Kirsten Dunst briefly dated Tobey Mcguire during the shooting of the first film.
Five things I think Spider-Man got right:
1) The costume
2) The origin
3) The love story
4) Green Goblin
5) J. Jonah Jameson

I went around the neighborhood collecting cans and doing chores to find money for the movie. I didn't know how money worked, so I just dropped it all on the counter and said I want to see spiderman.
Thank you for your time and effort, I will keep watching everything you make
That’s a nice story.
The holy trilogy of second parts: Xmen 2, Spiderman 2 and The Dark Knight.
💯
Spider-Man 3 is not as bad as everyone remembers. It had some bad stuff in it, but I still consider it to be a great movie. It's at the very least better than the MCU Iron-boy movies lol
Damn okay if u say so
Agreed
I'm glad you noticed that JJJ didn't tell Goblin that Peter brought the photos of Spider-Man. I rewatched the movie after an entire decade this year and was surprised to see that in the movie. He may be an ass but when it comes down to it he does have more behind him.
This will always be the best live-action Spider-Man.
Fun fact: the organic web shooters was James Cameron's idea.
"And he's riding around on that glider thing
And he's throwing that weird pumpkin bomb,
Yeah, he's wearing that dumb Power Rangers Mask,
But he's scarier without it on..."

Ooi
The helmet actually the way to make the villain becoming less scary.
When Spider-Man was Spider-Man not Spidey-Ironman
Uncle Ben > Tony Stark
Oh please the Holland spiderman is way more Peter and Spiderman than either Toby or Garfield.
Am I the only one who appreciates all three live action spider men and don’t shit on either of them?
@@davelanger lmao nice joke 😂
@@animal-rights Only joke here is you
Who else remembers a "there was no social media" time? Ah, simpler time's. Nostalgia so hard.
The ending. The ending at the cemetery. It broke me, but it was so perfect.
*Avi Arad:* Just please give me a chance!
*Me:* WHAT ABOUT SPIDER-MAN 4? DID YOU GIVE IT A CHANCE? DID YOU?!!!
If Sony doesn't fire him, their cinematic universe won't last
Did you know he is the producer of the upcoming UNCHARTED movie?
You will get your chance, WHEN YOU FIX THIS DAMN DOOR!!

Spiderman 3:....... DO THE EMO DANCE!

on its own, the emo dance seems lame, but that's actually a huge character moment for peter.

@@znjjnj1853 I'm talking about the first movie, specifically.
Don't forget to check out 2.1 and the editors cut of 3. 2.1 is amazing and the editors cut of 3 just add a bit more of what you expected from Sam Raimi's Spider-man movies
This is a perfect review. It made me go through the memories and emotions and thoughts I had when I watched this movie for the first time. Thank you Jeremy
