Cir Naitcirhc Orelot technically impossible. you would need military grade explosives, and the right type of fuel. the explosives could be synthesized from RDX leached from other sources, but RDX itself is very hard to come by on the civilian market. the nuclear fuel itself, well you'd have an easier time making it, which means large facilities costing tons of money. and lastly, the timing/calculations for the bomb are extremely precise. you can go with either the fat man, compression method, which would require plutonium based fuel, or the little boy's rifle method, which was uranium. of course there are more efficient ways to make nuclear bomb now, but the only way you would have a remote chance of doing with limited equipment/facilities would be those two, as their methods of detonation are mechanical. and fun fact btw, the bomb dropped on hiroshima had around 5kg of fuel, a ball the size of a baseball roughly. it only used 1/5 of its fuel in the blast. the rest was scattered as radioactive debris. so the blast was only 1/5 the potential output, but you now have the 4/5ths contaminating the area as well.

alexepul It is possible. There are such things as "open courses". They require no qualifications and no fees. You don't get any accomodation or tutors, "open courses" are internet-based. You have to visit a particular site regularly, study according to the instructions and do the tasks. After the course you have the finals and if you pass, you get a degree. I'm not 100% sure there are absolutely no fees, but it's definitely way cheaper than a traditional degree.
