Samual who films most of REN’s video did an interview where he talked about the Losing It. Sam mentioned REN did most of the filming and all the editing himself. Only Ren would hear an EDM track called "Losing It" and challenge himself to create a rap - about beings who lose it - on it (a Ren retake). The whole song is about monsters and killers and musicians, paranormals, etc. It's fun and great to work out to.

@@danielmoore9071 Not lyrically. For example, another homonym is "tare a byte", which is a real thing in comp sci but doesn't add anything to this bar. These "incidental homonyms" (or whatever you want to call them) are irrelevant to the lyrics.
To me one of the craziest parts of this song is that he put this down over someone else's beat. The beat was "Losing It" from an Australian producer named Fisher and it's wild to listen to the original track and then see what he laid down over it. He did make some small changes here and there but by and large it's the original track. I think he also demonetized this track and put it out just because he loved the beat so much. I'm glad you got to do this one finally, it's a beast! You should check out "What You Want" next, it's a total 90's, Beastie Boys-ish throwback and it's great.
His retakes are always demonetized and done for the respect and love of the original 😊
Whenever we request "What You Want" we should never mention it's a Beastie Boys throw back. It ruins the surprise....

Pretty sure they just didn’t mention it because it’s an obvious reference. Even if you don’t know it’s a movie you could guess as much from context.
I not only get a great big smile for this video, I also enjoy the heck out of your reactions because you speak your truth.
That at the end is an old filmamker technique used back then to shoot scenes in tunnels or railways, so even if the train is still and not moving in the background it would look like the train is coming towards the viewer and is about to hit the person foreground. It is done with a dolly and zooming. If you go forward, you zoom out, if you go backwards you zoom in. You can do it even with your cellphone.

I’m always surprised people recommend those tracks. IMO they don’t go nearly as hard as most of his other stuff and several reactors have cooled on Ren after poor performance of videos reacting to them.
Not saying you shouldn’t like them or even love them, I’m just surprised people see them as high priority tracks for reactors.

Most of this is done with a 360 camera and a selfie stick (with the stick removed in post, though if you look carefully, you can see where Ren is holding it).

"I'm in my feeling when I’m scheming to be taking the throne" ... Macbeth, a play by William Shakespeare, is about a couple who are fated to be King & Queen of Scotland. On the surface, it is about the two scheming and murdering their way to the top and to stay there. But they would have become king and queen without all that, they are just speeding up the process, and also speeding up their own undoing. And that is the "subtext" of the play, it is time, human lifetime, and speeding it up, and ultimately losing it. In 🐷 Ren's Losing It (FISHER Rap Retake), he mentions Macbeth, "I'm about to go beastmode, I'm about to go Macbeth" just before Ren speeds up his rapping speed to go triple time.

Loved rewatching this through your eyes dude. I'm 90% sure you've missed Animal Flow up to now. Video is built around animal farm (Orwell book about animals rebelling and making their own society). It's crazy dark fun and a whopper of a video. Crazy fun one shot and reckon you'd love it.
Always makes me laugh how many people stop at that one camera angle in the bed and say something along the lines of, "I didn't need to see that." and then rewind and watch it again. Hahahahaha! Great reaction man!

Hey man, great reaction as usual!! As far as the camera work at the end, I'm pretty sure he used a 360 camera for most of the shots, but the end part was more than that.
I do drone photography/videography for a side hustle, and usually film in 4k 4:3 30fps raw. The raw is so I can color grade in post, 4:3 because it uses the whole sensor and gives you the widest footage possible, which helps the software I use in post to stabilize the footage, which it accomplishes in part by cropping.
Now I'm not sure what software Ren uses, but my stabilizing software called "Gyroflow", will often warp the edges of footage, so it doesn't have to crop as much, but you can adjust how much warp (basically fish eye effect) it adds, because too much and your shot looks all wonky. They call it "lens correction strength", I'm pretty sure that isn't what software Ren is using, but whichever it is, probably has a similar setting that warps the image. Then all you have to do is add some different key frames in something like Premiere Pro with the warping effect at different strengths and you get that look Ren had at the end like the frame is bending in and out. Again, fun reaction, keep up the good work!! ✌️💚
