The hair physics are insane!, look at the hair of the hunter while riding the seikret (i know that's the least important thing of this trailer but it is great work).

Doshaguma and Chatacabra don't look alien in the slightest. Only these last two monsters look alien. And the thunder wyvern probably only looks alien because we haven't gotten a good look at its face yet. Seems like it closes its horns around its face to fire its lightning attack.

I don't get how so many people think that looks like shagaru. The only similarities between them are the golden white scales. Everything else looks different.
It’s the large shoulders and how it spreads its wings, that’s how people are mistaking it for Shagaru or Gore. It only has wing forelimbs though and not six limbs, so it’s definitely a flying wyvern. I’d say it’s closer to Seregios’ and Zinogre’s love child

Im really intrigued on how we wil transition from dealing with a big number of monsters, separating one of the monsters and hunting it, hope that it feels as smooth as possible
I almost suspect that, least for those guys instead of a specific single target it might be to eliminate a certain number of them. Not sure about Doshaguma though, since there seems to be a specific one thats the pack leader.
Game seems to be alot about fighting on the move as well instead of staying in one spot for an extended period of time. Makes the ability to bring 2 weapons more interesting.
@@Paradox1012 the whole jousting fight might be interesting, we might have a ful tier on the weapons on the capacity to fight mounted alone.

Agreed. Also waiitng for it live was pain lol. Stream got delayed by an hour and then they decided to reveal the trailer right at the very end.
This trailer actually confirms that the thing World did where you had to watch all the story cutscenes before you could begin Multiplayer will also be a thing in Wilds. Because the reason they did that was because they wanted a seamless transition from Story Cutscene to Gameplay, which you can see is still the case here at 2:41.
Also its a minor thing but it makes me really happy to see our Palico riding the mount too, because I always wanted that to happen in Rise with the Palamute. I didn't like leaving my buddy behind.
I'm hoping they find a way to integrate both the seamless transition from cutscene into gameplay WITH your friends. Even if the scene that plays is the host's player character on the cutscene, just let us group up together BEFORE we start the hunt. Doesn't matter who gets the spotlight in the cutscene.
The seamless transition from cutscene to gameplay has always been my favorite thing about World

Has it been confirmed that that Thunder Monster/Wyvern is a flagship by Capcom or is that speculation?
@@RathalosWatch They strongly hinted to it by saying "keep an eye out for the last monster, its very important to the game" (or whatever the wording was) and if its of such importance, it will be the flagship. Sooo many flagship flying wyverns x.x
@AmbrisiosDutchAD i see what you are saying but I disagree about the part of "important = flagship" it could also simply mean that that monster is simply important because he is the one who occasionally causes the sandstorm/lighting in that specific biome.
My suspicious is that every biome will have 1 very important monster that is tied to thwir biome specifically and they will be the ones responsible for causing the weather changes/catastrophes. And the catch will be that if you want to farm them then you can only do it during terrible weather conditions and risk it all for those materials for their weapons and armor.
Imagine the server browsers with 3 consoles worth of players on at a time. Pages upon pages of fans like an MMO

thats most definitely an elder dragon and not just some random wyvern. Also just a guess but it looked too important so more likely than not the flagship of the game, and possible source of the lightning / bad climate. Looks like a shagaru magala that ditched frenzy virus but for lightning. Matter of fact u can get a really great frontal shot of the elder dragon at 3:47. Its got the same shoulder arms as a shagaru magala, and besides that also has the signature 4 walking limbs of a western dragon that they use for all elder dragon designs that fall under the more traditional dragon body type. This is definitely further lending credence to the fact that wilds is not just a reference to 4, but a true sequel to 4. Gemma might actually be little miss forge after all.
@@meitomiyazaki9848 Not sure where you're looking, but it's nothing like either of the Magalas. Look closely. It's a wyvern; it only has 2 wings and 2 legs. We've never had a wyvern as an Elder Dragon, at least not in the main games. There's a first time for everything, but my guess is that it's tied more to the shifting environment than anything else. Too soon to say for sure, though.
Agreed, its base is definitely either Seregios or a cross between that and how a Gore would look. I can also see its wings are its only forelimbs so it’s definitely a flying wyvern. The horns are similar to Zinogre’s, but it’s cool that it can turn into a railgun of sorts

u know what on a further rewatch and more frame by frame action it was just very blurry from motion blur the first couple of times but i have changed my mind its definitely not an elder dragon you are right i see only the two legs now and the wings

cross play is confirmed. alright then, i'm getting this on PS5 and i'll be able to play with my noob without having to get a dam other system. i told people, when they were wining about the survey and Sunbreak not having cross play i said that they were talking about Wilds or the next portable/Rise team title.
can't wait to see that demo, looking forward to all the content creators showing all the weapons and how they play in this game.

World had it, Rise had it, so naturally it will be in WILDS too. It's the native in-universe language.
Also it makes a lot of sense to not have it as default, especially during trailers, since you wouldn't know what the hell is going on if it was.

Thank you Capcom for releasing this on PC together with the consoles. Now I just pray thay the optimization and performance is optimal. Dragons dogma 2 left a really bad taste in my mouth, I hope they learned their lesson.

@@Aqarzy I just hope that if Nintendo's portable consoles ever catch up to modern consoles they won't get rid of the portable team. I like how different both type of games are.
My only concern is that they might be leaning away from that MonHun feel. Also, I like the palico's voice, it sounds adorable to me.
Yha, I really dont want another beat em up like rise was, I enjoyed the pre hunt process of the older games, and the length of the hunts. But with the focus mode, while cool, feels like they are leaning more into that, beat em up.

Yeah I also didn't like the beat em up feeling of rise after playing world

I’m curious if this lighting thing would introduce a new technology like let’s say laser beam gunlance like in Story 2. 😂
And it seems like we could swap weapons on the fly? The last scene showing the Palico throw a great sword to us?
Another thing I worried a bit is that is it gonna be like world that people cannot join the hunt until the handler said the hunt begins! It seems very story oriented with controlling a herd and separating the alpha before traditional hunting.
hopefully they learned their lesson from world and figured out a way to just have multiple hunters in the CS so we can avoid the annoying starting, leaving and remaking in order to hunt together with friends.

@@TornaitSuperBird tbh I don't have that much interest in the remaster. It just seems like an inferior version of 2. I will likely be jumping on 3 if or whenever they decide to release it.
You should also try worlds first, because it has a very different feel. Played a lot of world, and I mean a lot, but stopped playing rise and never returned.
They have 2 different series, wilds is more like world in all likelihood, not Rise. What will come after wilds will also most likely be more like Rise again, so I already know I'm gonna skip that one.

I HATE that they are doing a Voiced Protagonist in this game. I turned off hunter voices in rise cause I hated it so much, that is probably going to be my least favorite aspect of the game.
