i have a square body s10 blazer. no prep on the street i can get 1-2 tires off the ground on a hard launch. you can see the front end raise up 1-2 foot then the front suspension maxes out and it keeps raising . the look on peoples face that try to race me is absolutely perfect. until i cant see them anymore. usually they just let out as soon as they see the front end raise. i dont have soft suspension. i have the hd suspension package and it was equipped with the 4.3l from factory so its got the really stiff front springs. i bent the leafs backwards from almost dragging the bumper so i got 3/4 ton springs. after 2 seasons of daily driving it they are sagging. i need facking 1 ton springs for an s10 blazer. i get fantastic fuel economy and great 1/4 mile times. it pretty much slaps anything in the face i see around here and the new fast cars wont play when i pull up. even if they were before hand. they have seen this in action and wont. it frustrates me cause i wanna see if one of them can actually beat me. i know theres faster cars out there and mine is a daily driver yet i havent had someone beat me in the 43k miles its been in this current form. thats no fun honestly. never did i think that my enjoyment in racing would be racing old men in the cars i always wished i had and going easy on them in thanks for flooring one of my dreams. one of my all time favorites was the bubble impala ss. its big its heavy its comfy its cool it was one of the last big muscle cars but not a pig to drive just nice. imagine racing that thing old man and his dog pull up on me and they both start hootin and hollerin and trying to get me to run. i give it half throttle thinking a real race. and immediately backed off to under 1/4 throttle and kept letting out just barely staying ahead of him. he knew i let out i was in 3rd gear before he got out of first. but he had fun and i didnt just demolish him. he was out being a true gem in the wild and i wanted to see him again. i also raced another if only i could get one 454ss the truck we all had wet dreams of and still do. guy told me all this crap its so fast how bad hes gonna beat me hes 3 sec 0-60 got the whole building and all 3 shifts talkin smack. everyone shows up and management lets the working shift stop and go watch real quick and other 2 shifts are watching. i beat that man so bad cold tires cold road no prep for me almost time to park em for winter. he was out there getting his warmed up and ready and had the advantage. i just let my motor and trans warm up and drove it to the spot. in the first 2-3 seconds i took that man to gapplebees and back and didnt let out. we raced again and he got a better launch and i let out on that one because i really felt bad for the man. he couldnt even get out of his truck his legs were shaking so bad and just sat there smoking a cigarette and went home like 20 mins later. he didnt talk to me for weeks i didnt brag i didnt bring it up to anyone other than ppl who asked cause they couldnt make it. i showed them the video and they knew why nobody was talking about it. everyone thought i was some dumb kid. i look half my age. ohh its some pos swapped prolly doesnt run right smog motor. it sounds unlike other engines so they cant identify it. wrote it off. they all realized exactly what i had built and why it was so great and nothing in the parking lot could touch it. even the hellcat owner that wanted to race me only made excuses after that day. the one time we kinda lined up was before we knew eachother and he broke his car trying to keep up. i was like hmm wonder why that car let out. then i seen him driving it after we had met and he just got it back from the shop. i was like man id love to run one of those things or go for a ride never got to and hes like sure man yeah sounds fun. then he seen me getting into my blazer and realized thats the guy that smoked the 454ss and only gave me excuses after that. i dont even think it was a real hellcat honestly. im not saying my truck is anything crazy its just a perfect combo and honestly that is the best way to go.
I love C10 drag trucks. We built one when I was a kid. But it was an 84 short bed C10. BBC 468 with a 300 shot. 1050 hp on motor and 1350 hp on the juice. Tubbed, caged, and all steel except the hood. We had a 4 and 3/4 inch cowl hood from Harwood. We ran the pro street class. Our best et time 1/4 mile was 7.50 at 175 mph. I really miss that truck. The best track was Rockingham. But we ran Kinston dragstrip and brewers dragway in NC state. Kinston and Rockingham were the 2 best tracks and super sticky. Did lots of street racing too lol. All back in the 90s. Fun times back then

@squarebodychannel6113 that's kool, ours was a 454, 60 over and 15 to 1 back then. I don't think they make those pistons anymore. I think the highest you can go these days is 13.1 compression. But anyhow it made a 468 being bored out 60 over
@squarebodychannel6113 so you have a 460 now if you use the stock crank. We used a stock sized crank in ours. A steel crank. We had a Merlin block with cast Merlin heads with a high rise edlbrock intake, with the crooked top and a 950 cfm Barry Grant carb. With this carb uou could change the venturi's, the barrel inserts, and a few other things inside to make it a full dominator. I'm not even sure if they even make those carbs anymore. I know a lot of old skool stuff like that they quit making for some reason. Everything is all new setups these days. And we ran a 4.56 gear in the rear with a 400th transmission. The 400th holds up better with the big blocks with lots of hp because you have a lesser chance of blowing the bellhousing. And a 6500 stall converter.

What are you running for stall in this vid? Cuz it sounds like you have a very radical cam, and you'd benefit greatly with a 3000 rpm. It sounds like you're only pulling about 1500. Might want to beef the transmission up if you haven't already. Ive a 86 C10 long box that i built a 350 vortec i put the big mutha thumper hyd roller retrofit cam Howard's cams hydraulic roller lifters ebay roller fulcrum roller tip rockers comp cam beehive springs, heads are 72cc vortec , .030 over .125 pop-up pistons, heavier duty connecting rods in case i decide to fog it, gear drive timing and i slapped on a 30008 fitech throttle body injection, i re-did the rear-end with 3.90 limited slip I've been floating between th350s and 700r4, before they've blown out on me, ive been running 2500 stall and have had awesome launches, but those transmissions have race clutch packs but everything else is pretty much stock. As i read some rebuild and modify manuals, ive found a few companies that make stronger parts. I think that my vortec is putting close to 450 to 550 hp, but i dont have access to a dyno in my parts. There's not much of a street outlaws culture out here. I've got a 400 trans, and im going to end up spending about 3500 for my transmission guy to build it for what im bolting it up to. But keep it up you're on the right track bro!! You have a bad ass whip!! I call mine the bug catcher ive had her since 95.

I was liking the front suspension extension on the hit, working on my 76 c10 big block trying to get more weight transition to rear, nice project.
my front suspension doesn't work well I have drop spindles I'm going to put stock spindles back in
