This is absolutely beautiful. To keep the ribbon from fraying, you can run a lighter across the ends to seal them.

Tip: You can use a lighter to burn the ends of your ribbon to keep it from fraying vs using glue

I saw a video where the person slightly burned the ends of the ribbon to prevent the fraying. Ty for the video
Yes, that can work. I'm a little nervous about the ribbon going up in flames though. 😊
@@scrapcraftastic Hold the flame just close enough to melt the ribbon ends. As long as ribbon is synthetic, it should melt and you don't actually apply the flame.

Glad you’re doing this video, although you’ve done many great altering videos on upgrading simple notebooks (ALL GREAT MIGHT I ADD). I’m in the process of making some upgrades to some of my composition notebooks for the purposes of commonplace notes with my doll stickers as sentiments and embellishments. By the way, did you know that HL is selling ALL of there Sixxix Die Cuts! I ran in my local one today and a lot of them were in clearance sections, just thought you should know. Also, the art department has the Master’s Touch art notebooks 40% off. ❤😊

The book turned out pretty. I usually glue my ribbon on the font and back before I cover the book. It’s easier.

Hi! Love what you’re doing with the comp books! I like to fix them up too! How about making a pretty cardboard “ writing board” that you can keep in the back of the book to use when you have to write over the area that is lumpy ( from the from tuck spot) 😊💕

Usually I'll fold the page in half or cut it in half, clue it , then glue the dividers. It will give you less bulk and way easier to glue.😊

Could you have trimmed down the book page a smidge so it wouldn’t stick oit?
Yes. Someone also suggested folding the page in half. I'm think trimming it to about 2 inches and then folding it in half to create a hinge similar to how mini albums are made.
