@@jdbimmer3853 One thing you need to know is...worker's comp is NOT your friend, they could care less about you. They are paid to tell you you're fine, go back to work...and that's it. You have to fight, fight, fight for what you need. I've been going on for 14 YEARS of severe low back pain, L4-L5, trying to get my back fixed. I was recently, March 2022, referred to a surgeon by my orthopedic of 21 years...which should've been done years ago as no amount of injections, or other things he's tried, have ever worked...at all...only left me hurting worse. The surgeon wants to do surgery but we have to wait and see if worker's comp will approve it. I doubt they will so it'll be more fighting to get it approved.
I wish you much luck and hope you get what you need to heal. 💗

I just had a Discogram done and it definitely replicated my pain plus more. Question is do I need a fusion due the disc causing me pain for 4 years undiagnosed? Everything started after a fall that manifested as SI joint pain. I worked in the medical field and at this point I see clearly Mds do not know shit about the spine. It is scary how many years I have been getting no help. A doctor even said a year ago my back pain was psychological and not physical.

Positive discogram means 100 percent the disc is bad, you need Artificial Disc replacement.. Do not fuse, ever!

Has anyone in youtube land dealt with this and if so how did you go about it? There is much information about this topic and its all quite confusing. Pain levels can vary as does the healing timeline. From what I've read it can take up to 2 yrs and according to some literature it never heals and surgery is the only option. Also when it does heal spinal integrity is still compromised and prone to further injury. Per the literature, and as was mentioned in this video, the gold standard for diagnosing this can cause further degradation. There is some literature that supports biologics ie: stem cell injections. However this is not FDA approved and not enough studies to prove the efficacy, or half say it does work and half that don't. Some surgical methods look promising in so far as outcomes but what is unknown is how the spine will react and what problems that might cause down to road. I have a tear that was found on my recent MRI but I don't think that is causing my symptoms. Now I'm paranoid about moving for fear of being on that back pain rollercoaster. If anyone has had this problem and was able to manage it and return to their normal life leave some feed back. Good luck out there to all those suffering. I wish you well.

Hey there. How have you been? I have been having a severe lower back pain since last week. Went to see a specialist yesterday and I did MRI right away. They found minor slip disk plus an annular tear. I have to say, I feel rather gloomy with this diagnosis. The pain goes away after taking pain killer and another check up in a month time. I hope the annular tear will heal on its own and the pain will subside. The Dr recomended McKenzie exercise. I have started with it last night and it helps me to sleep as the pain keeps we awaken for so many nights.

I am from China. I also have torn fibrous annulus. The MRI showed HIZ. The pain is obvious when sitting down, and it is not painful to walk. I know some people who have not recovered for more than ten years without surgery, and some have undergone radiofrequency and lumbar fusion under borescope. The effect of the operation is good. I think the anterior lumbar fusion is the best.

My doctor thinks I may have this. It hurts to walk, reach, turn, move, sit, to the touch even when I put my underwear it's excruciating pain, it goes and wraps around my shins and my knees hurt! My lubar back hurts, neck, shoulder, waist, and hip hurts. I'm numb and feel burning sensations! My doctor gave me some injections in my lumbar area that helped some especially in my neck and shoulder. I took pain meds and meds from neuro pain, and lidocaine patches but I'm still in a lot of pain in on my left still more where the injections was given but not as much where I couldn't even barely walk than in my rt side where I also Sciatic nerve damage bilate! My doctor is going to R/O things and find out what's wrong. It shouldn't hurt to sit on the toilet or anywhere and put on underwear!

@Preeti-lw9jc Hello, thank you for checking on me!! I'm doing better with that situation. It took almost three months to get my bilateral sciatic nerve damage under control! It took oral, typical, and injection steroids to finally get it from exacerbation mode! I still suffer daily with my fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis, CFS, and like 10 other pain related illnesses! I need to work out and get more active, but I'm so afraid because every time I get active during the day, my body attacks me with myositis, cramping, and horrific pain along with restless leg syndrome!! My pain doctor tells me to know my limitations! But it doesn't take much! I tried to rake my yard once, and I became so overheated that I thought I was going to pass out! I ended up in the hospital with rhabdomyolysis! I've bn in the hospital for pain induced hypertension! Instead of treating my b/p with blood pressure medication because it bottoms me out, they use pain management because once the pain is under control, my b/p stabilizes! I need to lose so much weight, but when you're afraid to move and use your own body because you know what's going to happen later. It makes doing anything hard to do! These spasms and pain last for hours into the next day! Where simple tasks become almost impossible to do, and sometimes impossible to do!! I need help so bad! I had to go out on disability when I was 36. I worked as a nurse before! I deemed me total permanently disabled on my first try! The depression over my situation didn't help! I isolate myself because I'm tired of people not realizing I'm different now! No longer the life of the party! I don't party anymore! Fibromyalgia has changed my life drastically! When you spasm so much during washing up till it exhausts you of all your little energy! I can't wash a dish without excruciating pain from the repetitive movement!! Lol, any suggestions?
