So based on the girl who got her account banned. She called someone racial slurs and other things at people on a twitch stream. People started mass reporting her. Now she’s crying because she’ll have to work a 9-5 job again she hates because the account got banned.
Good luck getting that 9-5 tho, because if that’s true then she’s got actual footage of her being racist floating around the internet. I’m pretty sure future employers wouldn’t be too pleased about that.

As a person with a diagnozed tic disorder, the faking tourettes one made me actually so fucking angry It's not 'quirky' to have tics, cuz it's 'cute' and 'cool'. Tics are something someone CANNOT control, and in a worst case it can HOSPITALIZE someone, speaking as a person whose literal throat starts ticing to the point of not being able to breathe for a prolongued amounts of time. I feel unsafe to do normal day to day tasks just because I'm afraid of ticing and accidentally hurting myself or someone around me, or calling someone names and cursing at them, hoping they would understand it's my tics, not me. (I don't care about my grammar, sorry if it bothers ya)
Please, dear godless universe, let this be true. Let it just be that the most braindead monkeys in the world are also the loudest monkeys in the world, and most people are actually not this bad. Or else... this planet is boned.
I've always said that social media didn't create the garbage human beings we have today, it just shone a public light on the corner where they were previously hiding...
Even if you only take adults, you're telling me your 80 y/o grandma is fucking someone new every year? You're telling me literally no one who gets married stays faithful for even 12 months? Because that's what this theory's implying
I’ve never felt so old that he doesn’t know Susan Sarandon and Gina Davis, but instantly recognises an alpha male influencer I’ve never seen before in my life 😭😆
In fairness I've seen Thelma and Louise twice and it took me until this comment to realise that the two people in the pic were Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. Scrolling back I can definitely see it, but they do look pretty different to how they did in their prime, and since both don't seem to have had much of a career since about 2005 (seriously wtf happened to Davis in particular? It's like she fell off the edge of the map or something, I just IMDb'd her and haven't heard of a single project she's been in post-Stuart Little) despite being the biggest thing ever in the 80s and 90s, it's not that surprising that someone would struggle to place them. But I've no idea who the influencer guy is either lol, which isn't that surprising since I doubt I could name more than 5 influencers on the planet (and those only because I used to have a job that involved contracting some of them for events)...
What's worse about the fake Tourette's one is that people for ages were defending these people as being authentic until it was proven definitively that some of the larger influencers they were defending were actually fakers, only then did it become socially acceptable to call them out.
I do know for a fact that many people who genuinely have Tourette’s get accused of faking it too, unfortunately. The influencers mocking them were doing so by mimicking how people actually tic sometimes. It’s kind of like if people in wheelchairs started going viral so other people wanting virality started making tiktoks in wheelchairs pretending they couldn’t walk well/at all so needed a wheelchair, then some of the people making the most profit were exposed for not actually having a mobility disorder, then large numbers of people start just accusing everyone in a wheelchair of not having mobility issues and just trying to copy a TikTok trend. It’s the actually disabled people being punished regardless. The lesson should probably be to not follow people because you find their disability entertaining to laugh at. If it weren’t trendy to laugh at disabled people there wouldn’t be people pretending to have a disability for people to laugh at. The disability content would instead be more about relatable experiences, advice, education, etc. My brother has severe Tourette’s syndrome, and it can be incredibly disabling. He’s got self-harm tics, coprolalia, he’s had his legs give out beneath him as a tic, struggled not throwing his phone in the ocean, thrown things, hit people. All involuntarily. Yet sometimes he comes out with funny stuff too. It’s okay to find joy amongst the hardships, but too many people were framing the disability as just a quirky thing they did for tiktoks and so people watched it purely as if watching a funny comedy skit or something. It’s weird to make disability content trendy as entertainment content.

I have a diagnosed tic disorder, probably a result of ADHD and my other neurological issues, it’s not Tourette’s as they come and go depending on stress etc. its not hard to tell when it’s being faked and that whole trend made college so hard. I’ve broken bones, dislocated knees and shoulders, hospitalised myself and gotten in trouble because someone thought I was on drugs. Its not cool and quirky
Tourette’s is often triggered by stress. Not saying you have Tourette’s btw. Just clarifying that coming on when more stressed doesn’t inherently rule Tourette’s out in other people.
