exactly! Thats what i am thinking for the longest time, there was an article about students that worked for VW for awhile that made a project car. They used an station GTD and put a BiTdi engine in it.

@@BabyBugBug Well, no. Compare a diesel and gasoline with same peak Horsepower and the diesel wins. Since it has higher torque overall, with means it also has higher power output at the lowend and also gets the peak hp earlier then the petrol equivilent. Atleast its the usual case. A diesel is a bit more reliant on the fitting gear ratios than a gasoline engine.

And i'm not sure if this really is the 240 hp one, if i compare it to other videos on YT of this car, it seems kinda slow to me. This is also something other commenters on this video stated
And what about weight comparison? It's not all about the motor. 1828 kg Arteon versus 1385 kg your Alfa, it's a little bit different now. I bet your Alfa 125 kW couldn't do that in 6.7 sec without chiptuning. Diesels are slow anyway and in 0-200 acc they always lose compared to petrol cars. These are the laws of physics.

I've seen videos where it's hitting 6.5 seconds. It's a great engine, would be great in a VW GTD

ToxicGerman Yes I know they have huge amounts of torque. Every Diesel engine I’ve seen compared to a gasoline engine has lost in performance though.
