- I See the Light from Disney’s Tangled was the first song that Emma-Jean sang for a (paying) audience way back in 2018, when she was only 9 years old, at a Cuppa for CANSA fundraiser in aid of the Cancer Association of South Africa. She managed to impress a number of the attendees, quite a few of whom sought her out afterwards to tell her she had star quality. We thought it would be quite fun to redo it 6 years later - what a difference 6 years makes!

As an older father of two girls who are now in their 40's I always found it difficult to find things to do with them, a mutual interest if you like when they were younger. I just admire that you Adrian found something that you can do together. I have watched your videos from the early days and seen how Emma has matured from a girl with a wonderful voice into a young woman with an accomplished strong voice. You must be so proud of her. Well done, so much better than what I did with my two, we joined a quiz team and did manage to win the league for three years in a row, before Covid put paid to that. I wish you well. Top tip! Have your Gunn and Moore Cricket Bat near to hand when she brings her first boyfriend home and talk about how you saw an arm broken with a similar bat one day!! Also explaining that you played Rugby ! We are all protective of our daughters. Mine now happily married. Love and Peace to you all!!

I must say it can be a little trying at times dealing with the irratic temperament of a 15 year old girl, but most of the time we get on really well. I am just so blessed to have a daughter who shares a love of music with me and that we have this opportunity to perform for all you wonderful people around the world. I will definitely take your advice about the cricket bat 😀. The boys are beginning to circle like vultures 😄. But she doesn't seem too interested just yet, much to my relief 😉 😀.
