      "Amazingly Awesome", do you actually have anything else to base such lofty praise on an at best average platform? I own an XDs in .45 acp, and of ALL my other pistols it would rank towards the bottom on a 1 to 10 scale in virtually every aspect. It's just another POS polymer striker fired pistol. The only positives I would have to admit would be it's easy to conceal, if you ever had to use it and it was confiscated you wouldn't be out of much and probably the most import thing it isn't a "Block".

      The Busterdog I appreciate your aggressive insights. It shoots great, accepts good aftermarket triggers, has great upper components, polymer lower, i like the safety system, mine hasn’t had a single malfunction, the grip is a great shape and fit for my hands, I like the mag release, i like the look, and, uhh, I just think its amazingly awesome for a $400 pistol.... if you hate it so much, why own one?

    I purchased a gen 1 xds 45. Those come with an interchangeable back strap to make the circumference smaller witch I did because of my small hands. Then I added a hogue wrap around grip with the rubber beaver tail to add with . It fit my hand perfect, better then the xds mod 2. It was extremely accurate at 25ft. I am very pleased with it. There’s just something encouraging about carrying the xds 45 vs my p365. After getting those underwoods I feel confident carrying the xds for it’s stopping power.

    Nice guns. I miss my G30 gen 4, but the bullets are sooo expensive I'm sticking to 9mm. I bought an Sig P365x, put mag guts for 14rd, put a red dot on top (Holosun) a light laser combo (tlr6) , bought a holster insert for it and I still haven't shot it. That was like 3 months ago. I still carry my G26 Gen 4 with the TLR6, G19 magazine and xgrip 👍. Thanks for the video subscribed. I had the XD MOD 2 45. Great shooter. Even for a guy that doesn't practice much.

    I got one of the XDS mod 2 45acp when it first came out about 4 years ago. I didn't like it at first but I have grown to like it over time. And other than my Sig P938 SAS it is the easiest OWB pistol I own to conceal. If you're worried about mag capacity, you should have bought the XD mod 2. Same size gun, thicker grip. They don't come with Trijicon sights, you are mistaken.

Springfield/HS has made the grip safety for over 25 years, so obviously they like it. What a foolish response to someone who feels the grip safety gives them a good feeling, especially when holstering, unholstering, a loaded gun, in appendix carry. Some people need that extra safety assurance. Yes, indeed I also love the Echelon and Hellcat, but glad they still make the grip safety available for those that want it. They're closer to pocket pistols than home defense pistols. Any single stack is made w CCW in mind. You should get a double stack for home defense unless you got baby hands. Have you even owned or handled a fullsize duty or compact pistol? If so, I don't see how you'd laugh at this being a pocket gun then to suggest it as a viable HD option is just misleading (it's likely enough but there's better XD's to be had for HD).
      Putting me being a dick aside, why make any compromises on size when it sits on your nightstand 99% of the time it's when you're not out back or at the range shooting it. And no doubt, you'll appreciate the extra ammo if you were to need it which u might w the robber having the advantage of the element of surprise. Counter that w preparation which is largely training but gear also plays a role. If you're suggesting a single stack 40 as a HD, you need to reevaluate your firearms knowledge or lack thereof.

    • @maximusjoseppi5904
      @maximusjoseppi5904  Před 3 lety

      i dont base my knowledge and preferences based on arbitrary statistics gathered and created by incomplete and unofficial data sources. take a force on force tactical class and watch real life accounts of self defense shootings. there is a high probability in a low probability scenario of you needing 10-15 rounds of any handgun caliber you use. the amount of rounds needed to stop a fight are directly correlated to the capacity of the gun being used haha, ergo, people just empty the gun and thats what you generally should do.
      so while you are already preparing for a very low probability scenario, why overlook the decent probability of needing more rounds..
      and if you have to shoot something in self defense, you are not going to shoot once and then wait a moment to see if it stops attacking. you arent going to shoot twice or 3 times and see if they stop attacking. you should be shooting continuously until it stops advancing which in this particular gun will 100% be till its empty.... at which point, if its not over, your gun would be now taken out of the equation.
      handguns are horrible at stopping threats, 5 rounds will very likely not be enough unless you get lucky and its a very mild threat in perfect conditions. it all depends on what you want to be prepared for and what scenarios you want to able to defend against. 5 rounds limits you to only the easiest and mildest of self defense situations.
