How on earth did FIFA think they'd double the pay for non-exclusivity!?
It's quite something when FIFA are so greedy EA are like "This is to much greed, even for us".
@@danielebowman it’s true, you’d think that EA and FIFA would be natural allies considering they’re both disgustingly greedy organisations.
Because they're bent.

It's actually a breakdown of negotiation. You go in high with what you want, they come back with a low ball, you meet in the middle. Now every company is run by greedy narsassists who are you big headed to ever meet anyone half way so deals don't get made anymore and everyone misses out

The sales speaks otherwise.
Konami is playing catch-up and still is

The sales on a monopoly would always be good. Konami stopped caring about Pes since 2014.
FIFA only provides a title sponsor to EA, The deal used to includes World cup/FIFA tournaments's license, but this renewed offer not only doubled in price, but also seperated tournament licenses and title sponsor, meaning EA would've pay 300m just so their game is called FIFA, honestly EA have to do this at some point
One further driving force of this decision have to do with PES being completed transformed into Mobile/Online F2P only title, meaning there's essentially no competition in EA's main playing field
@@mythdecker6923tbf, pes hasn't been competition for FIFA since like 2009
@@jtaco4101the only time PES was good when they have license from the UCL and the club competing in it. That was good time, and now EA just want to monopoly all of it. Now PES/eFootball only negotiate with indie league and clubs. Thanks a lot fakking EA.
there's some poetic justice when EA is asked to pay more money upfront and then smaller amounts for specific parts, for something they used to get as a whole.
Oh no ea are mad they are getting scammed instead of being the scammers

2 greedy organization. Fifa saw EA revenue from Ultimate team and wanted more. While EA wanted to keep the same deal knowing they have been making more money from Ultimate Team and overall more total revenue every year. EA FC 24 is still a cash grab.

It been the exact same for like the past 3-5 years with only superficial changes like skins, sidelines, celebrations, skill moves. No change to core gameplay to make this game better than it was for us to play.

When two greedy organisations clash
People in the comments clearly don’t understand the point:
Konami is still playing catch up. Never once had Konami beat EA with how many people playing online.
The very same people thinks “there is hope that there will be game studio that finally makes a good game, better than EA” and yet, IM WILL WAITING. How long should I have to keep waiting?
There’s a saying: it’s the HOPE that kills you.
Keep hoping 🤣
At one point ea copied almost everything from Konami from controller commands to game modes. Konami slays ea even without official fifa licenses
As long as EA still have licenses for the players and the major teams they will be fine
I've not purchased a single fifa since fifa 19 I just wait 6 months for them to be free in ea play 😂
Wow EA and FIFA being greedy?!?! Who would have thought 😂
This should have happened a few years ago before PES got shafted.
If it means more competition in the football videogame market Im all for it. Maybe one of them will make a good career mode

Me neither, but history books say it was. Back when football was a sport, and simmulating an injury resulted in a life-time ban. Must have been nice.
EA couldn't script this occurrence for a change
Fifa just gave up free money
it will never be same without the iconic name though

FIFA need to release their own Football video game.
I think, EA are gonna suffer from that one. Loosing the official name will make the games decline even harder and faster than otherwise.
So how do they get licenses to use clubs and player names? Do they pay the individual leagues?
Its a iconic name but at the end of day its just a name the game is still gonna be good what ever they call it
they just had to cut the golden goose's guts open to see if there was more gold inside...
will it still be on game pass?
I think it's time konami partner with fifa
At this point EA can literally sell us a bag of chips as FIFA 24 and we’ll buy it
This is great news!
I hope this teaches EA how us gamers feel when buying their Sims 4 DLCs and annual sports game releases
Surprised 2k didn't try to get the rights
So it will also not include some club's names like PES? Or will this stay the same?
Gianni Infantino, Al Capone's real successor (Helvetia Style)
I just hope they start using the "legally different" knock-off player names like pro evo did back in the day... Barry Kane .....Mark Rushford....
Konami after seeing this be like :😏🤑📸
Konami has other priorities
@@Shadowespeon17 priorities change with opportunities
I am a little confused, What does Fifa own the rights to? Like just the world cup and the world cup jerseys? Can EA just get approval from each team to include them and their players in the game or do they have to go to each regions governing body? I was under the assumption that Fifa controlled all that, but I must be wrong on that...
Theres another theorie that ea and fifa went apart because fifa wasnt letting ea add more things to the game and that fifa was ripping us off so ea made their own game and thats why it has so much new features
As a Switch Player thats the best thing that could happen to us because: No Legacy Edition :D
All about the monney, thus, affecting us, the consumers-fans-gamers with a different title and yet more changes to come.
Football is the most popular game in the world and yet there's not a single good football game. It's a shame
Will it be on playstation 4 ?
So from what I understand, they want to get paid $300m just for them calling their game FIFA, and still let other games use it
I mean the game is essentially the exact same, blows my mind that they were even paying $150 million, it really adds nothing to the game except the name and some rules around things like flares, diving, ect. (Things that technically arent allowed under fifas rules)
It will launch august 24
How does EA has the licenses of players and clubs after it's split from FIFA?
Who is Airling Whoreland. Do they not have the licence or something?
Does this also mean that they won't be able to use club badges/grounds/kits in the game as well?
Those have nothing to do with FIFA. Each league sell their own rights. Uefa sell the rights to UCL, EL, ECL. They were paying 150 million for the name and WC tournament.
Well maybe with this 150 million money saved they can actually make good games !!!
So maybe this year we'll get the pirated version now that origin is no more
Despite saving 150 million, the game is more expensive, which only means a larger profit - in other words, EA wants more money, plain and simple. I believe it's the same with phone manufacturers who exclude the charger from the package, selling it separately to generate a higher profit.
Who will make fifa game then I’m curious
Will i be able to download cracked version like in good old times?
How much did they pay for FifPro license tho?
Wow they really not trying to clean there image fifa
FIFA was receiving $150 mil back in the sega genesis (mega drive🙄) days? Not a bad arrangement for FIFA back then.
Good decision
This also shows FIFA is all about the money
Will EA still get to include all the same clubs and leagues?
From what I read fifa was also becoming frustrated with the state of the product and the view the fans had of the product
So you're saying for the first time in years, a FIFA series game will actually be noticeably different from the one before?!
I can’t wait until nobody plays it and both companies sink
FIFA had no idea that FIFA is the reason why a lot of Americans even watch the sport
2 greedy corporations and one tried to out greedy the other
EA said “I don’t know about that one There bakuru”
I have watched like 4 soccer games in my life. Two of them were my highschool girls team in the state finals. And the other two were the USA Women's team.
Don't care enough. Would rather watch cricket or snooker.
Good for EA
Bro can u explain 4-1-2-1-2?
150 mil is pretty cheap for the deal when you think about it.
