This is Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye (MTMTE). The story follows a crew of Cybertronians led by Rodimus, who go on quests in their starship, the "Lost Light". In this video, Overlord has escaped his confinement and is going on a killing spree when Chromedome hatches a plan to eject overlord from the ship.

I respect that chromedome shot the container so the rewind didn’t die painfully at the hands of overlord
MTMTE is one of those brilliant comics that can go from really funny one moment, to absolutely terrifying, devastating and unfair the next. All completely sincerely, all without breaking flow. It's a gut punch every time one of the funny little guys in this comic gets absolutely wrecked by life.
We were denied a proper Fort Max and Overlord final showdown
The fact that Chromodome had to kill Rewind because he knew it was a better fate than keeping him alive is devastating

I am not one for emotions, but holy scraplets did this video male me feel like crying. It was so beautiful and sad at the same time. Poor Chromedome.

Unfortunately, I don't know if it's true or not. Overlord said that Rewind didn't even die from the explosion. He said that he bit his head off first because he kept crying/screaming. I don't if it's true though. Overlord could've just said that to mess with Chromedome emotions
Depends, if the time-slowing effect was still functioning then Overlord would have being slowed down significantly enough that Chromedome might have made it to the bridge & fired the missles before Rewind got hurt.
But if the slow effect wasn't activated...yeah...he was probably in the middle of torturing Rewind...
