I consider it an advantage that I don't speak English and I haven't read MTMTE yet, so I can say that the voices go perfectly with the characters' faces.

We need this as a series now as a mature paramount + or adult swim show
I originally planned to make this video like 2-3 minutes long, and to just include an assortment of IDW characters from the various Transformers comics, but I got carried away and the project sort of ballooned out of control lol. At the moment, I'm planning to do (probably) 2 follow-up videos: one video casting the main season 2 & 3 cast, and the second video casting the villains and the scavengers. May or may not do a wreckers video after that
In my opinion, Swerve should've hands down been Danny DeVito
@@ZackarySchejbalCODBO2RGM2 Robert Costanzo is actually pretty well known for voicing Danny DeVito characters. For example Phil from Disney's Hercules was voiced by DeVito in the movie, but Costanzo voiced him in the TV show, the tie-in video games, and Kingdom Hearts
My favorites are:
Rodimus (The part with Flash/Rodimus talking about the Flashmobile/Rod Pod sold me on this choice)
Rung (The part with the ventilation shaft is just perfect)
Red Alert
Skids (The idea of Skids having a Scottish accent is something I've liked since listening to the Team Train Wreck comic dubs)
Ratchet (Animated Ratchet is my favorite version, so that voice just fits)
Ultra Magnus (JK Simmons has been in Marvel and DC, so having him voice a Transformer just seems like the next logical step)
Trailcutter
Tailgate (I like the idea of Tailgate sounding very young)
When TFP Bulkhead started talking, I literally screeched like a banshee

All these picks were pretty great.
Never would've thought of J. K. Simmons for Magnus but that's probably cos i'm so used to him being J Jonah Jameson...
Ratchet having Corey Burton makes sense cos that's the voice everyone gives him.
Tennant as Rung is pretty inspired, though i would've use voice lines of the Fugitoid/Professor Honeycutt from the 2012 TMNT show.
Trevor Belmont as Skids is PERFECT! XD
Lots of DCAU voices in this... Makes me wish i had the time to watch those shows...
Kronk as Red Alert was... unexpected but surprisingly fitting.

I feel Cyclonus needs someone with more of a low, calm growl to their voice... I keep thinking something like Michael Ironside but deeper...
Ash Ketchum as Tailgate? No, just no... The precious boy needs to sound adorable.
Was that Spectacular Doc Ock as Brainstorm? Interesting pick. Most people just go for Neil Patrick Harris and leave it at that.
I can see why you chose Ayoade as Perceptor but he's more the comical nerd type...
Trailbreaker/cutter and Maximus are appropriate picks.
Overall; pretty decent choices, with a couple hiccups imho. :/
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah from what I've seen, when it comes to Ratchet people are pretty much 50/50 on either Corey Burton or Jeffrey Combs from Prime. I think they're both great, Animated was just the show I grew up with so that's what he sounds like to me. John DiMaggio as Whirl was probably the very first pick I had in mind for this, I totally get if it's not for everyone but that always felt like the perfect fit to me. I am also planning to use Michael Ironside in a role down the line a bit

I can understand what you mean about Whirl, i'm just used to the Heath Ledger Joker-like voice used in the Team Train Wreck fan dub.

These are good! I dont completely see Richard Ayoade as perceptor but J.K simmons as ultra magnus is great!

I love the idea of Red Alert as Patrick Warburton, but I also think that PW could do a killer Thunderclash or Roller

it's funny that Tailgate sounds like a child despite the fact that he's millions of years old.
You should do a part 2 for the rest of the crew including Megatron, Nautica, Huffer, Blaster, Mirage, Nightbeat, Thunderclash, Velocity, Bluestreak and Riptide
İt would have been epic if we could have gotten Christopher Lee as Cyclonus. The deep voice just fits him perfectly imo.

wow, these are great!! a lot of these fit SO perfectly, some I think could work really well if they were slightly less exaggerated, like swerve and red alert having a more suble accent/intonations (?), and someone like whirl I personally hc’d as having a more “bill dipper” like voice and tailgate sounding slightly less young boyish, also I think brainstorm is implied to canonically have a british accent (I love the sound of the voice you chose for him though, if the actor put on a british accent it would be perfect). these are all just my personal thoughts though, overall I love this fancast!

😬 Yeah, I totally get this criticism. I was originally planning on casting Jason Marnocha as Cyclonus (the guy who voiced Megatron in the WFC Netflix series and Prime Wars trilogy), but I was also trying to avoid just casting actors from recent Transformers series, that fans would already be familiar with. I went with George Lazenby because I felt like he was an outside the box pick, with a voice that people may have not considered.
I don't actually know if it would be practical to hire George Lazenby for the role (in a hypothetical world where MTMTE gets turned into a series), since he's probably nearing retirement and the voice clips I used are from 20 years ago. The idea was just to give a sense of the sort of voice Cyclonus could have, even if it was performed by another actor.
But yeah, I completely get that that choice is a bit uncomfortable in hindsight
Although, in fairness, Cyclonus is a very old Cybertronian and Tailgate went offline at an early age. Tailgate's avatar was always portrayed as a toddler.
Drift, Ratchet, and Tailgate are the ones ones I disagree with. Everything else is perfect! Here's my HC for those three:
Deadlock/Drift: English Jotaro
Ratchet: Either part 3 Joseph, or TFP Ratchet
Tailgate: Tails (From Sonic 2 movie)
I really like Tails as Tailgate quite a lot, hadn't thought of that! I haven't watched any Jojo yet, so I'll take your word for that lol
I think this would be a pretty strong cast
Also the fact that I think a joker voice could work for whirl is seen here, just makes me want to see that more
Most of these are absolutely perfect! The only ones that dont really fit imo are Drift and Tailgate but this is just overall great :D

Not bad fan casting ideas, though if you ask me, I would maybe have Matt Bomer as Chromedome. His voice is just Chromedome to me. In Doom Patrol, Matt has shown a lot of emotional complexities and plays a character who has been through a lot. Also, Matt is gay and Chromedome is gay in the comics which is pretty interesting and it would be nice to have a gay man voice a canonically gay character. Also for Cyclonus, I would like to hear Sam Witwer in the role, he has that dark intense voice that I would want to hear from Cyclonus. His voice for Maul just solidifies that. I have two videos of Matt for Chromedome and Sam for Cyclonus on my channel, check them out if you want.
Also, for Swerve, I want maybe Joe Lo Truglio for the part. His role in Brooklyn 99 is pretty funny and I love his voice there, he's done some voice work on some animated films and shows and I can hear his natural voice just come out of Swerve.
Great feedback! I really like Sam Witwer as Cyclonus, though I am not familiar with Matt Bomer or Joe Lo Truglio. I have been meaning to check out Doom Patrol for years, but have never got around to it! Jonathan Groff who I chose as Chromedome is also gay, which I definitely think is a big plus for the role as well. Thanks for the comment, I'll definitely check out those videos!

Ok I don't think Yuri Lowenthal as Drift works. Whoever voices him in the Bayverse is good, cuz it fits. Yuri doesn't fit Drift's kind of character. At least for me.

Yes, I am going to do 2 follow-up videos. However, the Scavengers will not be included in the next video, but rather the one after that (the third total video). I don't currently have a timeframe for when I'll be able to release these parts, but I will try to post updates in the comments here when I have a better idea.

@@scrudge5352 There's a line in issue 43 where when Rodimus is a human that he sounds different. I ran with it. Basically human Megs sounds like Frank Welker and normal Megs like David Kaye.
