driving my truck into holsworthy devon.

driving up the main hill into holsworthy. found a set of traffic lights and the usual muppet in a scate board that has to sit about 4ft from the kerb and wonder why you cant get through?

Looks a nice town, I have a 7.5 tonne horse box, and hate most cars on the rd when I'm in it esp the ones that nip in front of you then stop to turn right! I try to deep large and heavy loads moving as I understand up and down the gears and breaking for them is more hassle so try to keep them moving and hold back traffic for them to get out of driveways and must say I always get a wave or flash, I'm also female, blonde and drive a small sporty car keep on trucking and smiling

I live in a flat near the church...all the cars have to stop right outside when there's a lorry or a bus coming the other way cos it's just where it narrows! and I agree. Some places in N.Devon are a LOT worse than Holsworthy with how narrow the streets are. Have lived in 6 different places in N.Devon

some people just dont help do they? in the winter i drive a gritter from torquay to newton on the st marychurch back road and they really dont help, especially in rush hour

Have you not noticed all the town centres in England. Small narrow streets and lots of shops. How do you think the goods get there by planes. Lorry drives have to deliver and yes that means narrow lanes where car drivers hog the roads.I'd love to live in your little world where the motorway goes by all the shops so lorry drivers can deliver to them. I bet all the hgv truckers would love that. Better still why don't we just build roads that only HGVs can travel on Vinnieg 100 your the muppet
