Young Tourists Witness a Historic Heart Warming Moment Belgian Soldiers Pay King's Guards Visit
Did any of the cadets ask for permission and I didn't see any say thank you after they had took their photos !!!!!
They don't need permission.@@lawrenceglaister4364
Respect give and received.
The common values of soldiers, regardless of nationality.
Speaking of Belgium my dad was a medic in WWII. I remember he had on the wall an award document from the governing council of Antwerp in appreciation. But otherwise he didnt speak much of those years. To be sure he saw many horrors. He passed at 92 in 2002🙏
My dad was a medic in the 5th Army and he went from North Africa to Sicily, Italy, and ended up in Monaco at the end of the war. He never talked about his war experiences either.
@@bobdickerson3434 🙏
I live in Antwerp...the lads had a tough time in and around Antwerp which was bitterly fought for

God bless all our veterans. 🙏
Awe that trooper in the archway is really good looking ❤
Creep
@@davebrown9707 she couldn't look more slack if she tried!!!
Good looking and quite sexy as well!! Hope they get to read some of these messages, and realise they are well respected by most people, apart from the numbskulls that have ponytails coming out of their ears?? And a stupid hat, they have nothing better to do apart from mock our highly respected armed forces, they need to think back and see who helped their fathers and grandfathers, we didn’t go round making fun of them…… grrrrrr it really gets to me. Carry on guys and gals you are all amazing.
Great to see solidarity.
People are idiots don´t they realise horses are big and powerful creatures.
At one point they got more attention than the English guards and that could not be the intention, the Belgian soldiers felt a bit uncomfortable with that. Hence, they left quickly after a few photos. Historically, there has almost always been a very good relationship between England and Belgium. Despite the fact that the Counts of Flanders had to answer to the French kings, they were usually inclined to form an alliance with England.

At least one of them could have given the horseman a salute...After all, both sides are military
And then, THIS happens..... what happens? I don't see something special happening... Did I miss something?
My thoughts exactly.
I only see stupid people as always, touching the poor horse just to have photos or videos just to show these at home. I see how nervous these poor horses are, that's all.
Same for me :|
We're kind of cousins after all, we have the same royal family. Windsor used to be called Saxe-Cobourg before WW1 but it sounded "too German".
Scratch a Windsor and you'll find a German. Queen Mary would call Queen Elizabeth's husband (Duke of Edinborough) "That bloody Hun!"
Awesome
What happens? You guys made a spectacular header but, come on.... don't overdo it. Nothing special happened!
These are students, Petty officers, in training from air force school saffraanberg
It's a joint school now. There a student's from all components and all ranks now. These where indeed student NCO's.
@@MarkTilburgs , i Knox my son will start there next month.

Estos soldados belgas son dormilones, el guardia real los saludo con taconazo al piso, y los otros no devolvieron el saludo, ni se dieron cuenta.
I watched a replay of the Falklands war and the BBC told the Argentines that mount longdown had been taken befor it had happened thus warning them of what was going to happen in advance.
And your point is?
I believe that was Thatcher announcing that and relayed by the BBC
@@stevefairbanks835 , she came out of number 10 and said that Goose Green had been taken before the battle had started , the colonel said he was going to have serious words with her when he got back , sadly he died in the attack at Goose Green
Cracking girlfriend taking the photo 📸!
WHY IS THAT GUARD LETTING PEOPLE TOUCH THE REINS AND PET THE HORSE?
Is that a rhetorical question, if not then you should ask the soldier yourself?
WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?
King's guard CZcams channels have a primary goal of gaining viewership at the expense of disparaging foreigners over some perceived slight. Once in a while, they actually post content that does not disparage tourists. This appears to be one such post.
The channel author sets the tone by creating a thumbnail and title that drives the narrative, and 90% of the commenters, like lemmings charging off a cliff into the ocean, follow this narrative ... And then there's you.
People are allowed to touch the horse. Some guards overlook people touching the reins or don’t notice
Caps lock
Interesting, the Belgian troops seem to have changed their camouflage uniforms.
i believe they are air force ground personnel
@@jimloontiens9275they are aircraft technicians, the whole belgian army has changed its camo to multicam about a year ago 😊
@@jimloontiens9275 As far as I can make out they are all trainee officers of the Air Component at the Royal Military College (Belgium).
where were they ? I couldn't see them
@@marcushull12 Having their picture taken with the trooper.
I think its cruel for those horses standing all that time and idiotic public sbusing them and the soldiers 😢😢😢
Only there for an hour, then 4 off.
le respect aurait voulu qu'ils le saluent
lmao was the trooper talking about a night out at 8:20?? lol
“Belgian soldiers....and then this happened “. WHAT happened ???
Just a hook. Bad manners.
Well I don't see some kind of military salute from the Belgians towards the english soldier. This would have been more than polite.
No disrespect meant but those Belgians were all sergeants so maybe the guard should have saluted them? :-) But to be fair, the white ribbon under their rank identifies them as candidate career NCO's from Belgium's NCO school in Saffraanberg, Belgium. As long as they wear that ribbon they are candidates and lower ranks do not have to salute them. They themselves only have to salute higher ranks from sergeant and up and i am sure they would have done so if the guard was wearing rank insignia.
Sergeants don't salute Troopers!
Did they say "thank you" to the guard after the snapshot was taken?
Yes they did
If they did I never noticed.
They did...
Those are not just any Belgian soldiers. They are elite: Flemish!
Greetings from The Netherlands
Always nice to see my cousins.
I also, don't know why people are allowed to touch the horses; this is completely unnecessary and causes some people to be very disrespectful!
Why didn't they salute the King's Guard? King Philippe of Belgium, regret.
@MIRANDAFONSO a salute has to be returned. So you should not salute a soldier that is under orders not to move. So yes, all the us-presidents that salute marines when they enter or leave their helicopter are wrong. Serious breach of protocol.
@@daddyjohan911 thank you so much!
Die Pralinen extra angekommen!!
The kings life guards must have no physical requirements for women
There are female trooper persons!
How stupid to zoom in on the name tags of the soldiers! 😡
Weird, French flag on the arm, and why are they in uniform?
Belgium invading GB? Hahaha
Aucun salut militaire zéro respect
Also beards??? C'mon.....helps recruiting....? OK.. let's see the stats shall we...?
MORE lowering of standards....Subjective of course...
belgium just cancelled a soccer game with Israel in belgium due to security concerns
maybe these soldiers should do something else other than tourism
Sorry..but standards have dropped...I love the Regiment I served....but why on ceremonials..are the rest in combats? PLUS....OUR former Queen is now gone...WHY...are the Household Cavalry STILL wearing a Queens Crown?
I have been told its funding...etc..etc..etc...it might not mean anything to many..the same as one cannot distinguish the Regiments of Footguards....but this IS a National disgrace
I agree - the size of that female soldier - she was practically bursting out of her combats. I'd be amazed if she could pass the army fitness test.
I agree it is a disgrace no government since Margaret Thatcher left No 10 has properly funded the military be it Conservative or Labour we are a laughing stock
Ohh Belgian soldiers they resist Nazis for 4 days 😂
The Belgian army held out for 18 days. The Dutch capitulated in 5. I
when the British expeditionary force shamefully retreated to Dunkirk to flee like rats!
@@philippeguiot9367 Exactly, we often hear about how the French army allowed for British soldiers to escape Dunkerke but we never hear about how the Belgians did the same without even being warned by their allies.
Check how long the minute Belgian army slowed the Germans by memory it was,28 days not 4
You don´t seem to know your history ...
Did they bring any Belgium chocolate to the Guards
