you know what could a interesting idea? Is kind of a reversed mascot horror. You instead play as an adorable marketable character (which for some reason i imagine him as a fluffy kobold) that was meant to entertain children, then you accidently find youself on the place that created you and discovered that while you where made to spread happiness and joy the place where you came from is a nightmarish hellscape with violence,mutants,slavery,flesh montrosities and even more dark stuff.
That’s actually a really good idea to play as the mascot itself

Like you aren't even something like a soul trapped on a mascot or something instead you are an actually living creature created by the heavy use of Psionics along with biological experiments, which is why the place your character where born in is such a nasty place.

A monster with a QR code for a face would genuinely sounds like it would be a really good idea for a horror game about the internet or social media.
QuaRrel could be a name for such a monster.
Have the QR code that leads to a mostly blank webpage that is a little easter egg hunt through the source code ala FNaF teaser to learn more about the universe
Bonus points if the QR code leads to a rickroll
Fr like what if you have a caruma, and your take photos of different forms of said monster and you import it every time u go home, and it slowly but creepily 1. Hacks into your computer (real and game like doki doki) 2. Exposes who you are/what you are 3. Solves a mystery!
So simulacra but the monsters get a physical form?
It's genuinely pretty sad to see such a premise being treated so badly. Like, everything else aside, the concept of needing to survive a series of monsters who all wear the same-looking skin while you need to decipher which monster is within that skin to figure out how to stop it is pretty cool. I can imagine a multiplayer game where it's like phasmophobia in that you and others are tasked with identifying the main monster through preestablished clues and finding a way to either escape or contain it before it can kill all of you.
I think the best way to have presented this concept is to introduce Sparky as a containment unit that looks the way it does because it's aesthetically easier to comprehend and work with instead of just a normal mannequin where all the monsters' behaviors or traits would have been extremely uncanny. They could have even taken this a step further by making a mechanic where when the monster kills someone, it can remove itself from Sparky and place itself into the corpse, leaving behind a husk of Sparky for other players to find and realize how screwed they are while all the habits that made Sparky look goofy look genuinely terrifying when translated into its new human body. This serves as both a creepy but realistic way to justify Sparky's existence while also making players genuinely feel closer to Sparky as seeing Sparky's empty husk means that things just went from bad to worse in-game and making him a sorta canary where his death means the worst has happened.
Instead, they divided efforts into a gamemode they didn't care about to promote a gamemode they do care about but misplaced resources away from when they could have promoted and improved upon it. I can see the potential and it frustrates me seeing it being dumped like this because they were more concerned about using gimmicky advertisements instead of just trying to make a good game and promote it.

@@supermagician874 TL;DR for all the Mr. Lazys (That's including you in particular.) The multiplayer game had great potential, but ideas and such that could've been used just get ignored and sidelined by gimmicky advertising, and doom the entire game series.
Seriously, instead of ghost possession or the mascot being an experiment gone wrong, it’s monsters that want to kill you wearing costumes. That’s pretty cool and quite unique for a mascot horror.

Is there any actual zoochosis gameplay? The viral trailer was bullshot (animation, not gameplay), it seemed pretty sus to me. But it is important to remember that most teams put out awful games before a success, so no need to to write it off completely. Its a hard "wait for reviews".
I will say this game on a technical level wasnt awful, its just poorly designed... You expect poor obtuse design from new developers which of course doesnt excuse it but it does mean theres hope for the next.

Yeah, honestly the only positive about sparky marky is the monster designs. Even though literally only 2 of them were officially used in game with most of them being seen in shorts and the only second one that's in the game barely appearing.

I, for some, read that as "Zoobchosis"
This whole thing stunk the moment I saw it. Sloppy an uninspired level design, extremely NFT-esc characters, discord integration, and of course; Multi-chapter releases. Seriously people, stop making NEW games for each chapter. Just have it all in one engine so you can fix all your garbage at the same time.
When Bendy and The Ink Machine first came out, I always compared it's chapter releases to TellTale (minus the gameplay style), it even has an artstyle that wouldn't look out of place in that engine.
My cat's name is Mufasa and he was found on the streets. Whoever had him declawed his front paws but now, after 10 years, he's learned to grab things with his.. Fingers? Whatever they're called

I think most of the time, ppl are ignorant to what declawing actually is.
Honestly, as a soon to be mascot horror dev, one of my biggest fears is my game being the subject of one of these videos. Which is part of the reason i watch these types of videos. Apart from the fact that i genuinely enjoy this content, it also gives me insight into what not to do as a developer, and has been a big inspiration for my development career (as fledgling as it may be).
the fact that you take the initiative to find these kinds of videos and take in their commentary already puts you leagues ahead of the people who just push out low-effort shlock to make a quick buck. if you really do care about what you're making, i guarantee your effort will shine through and make something great.
If you put passion into it, it won't be awful. Even if it's heavily flawed, it's obvious when people care about something, and that can make something more enjoyable.

I’ve also got a cat named Cocoa, and he’s VERY sweet and fluffy. He’s basically my best friend, and definitely the sweetest of the group.

having to track an invisible enemy and force it off of you by tagging a dummy reminds me heavily of a Saturn-exclusive game called Enemy Zero, which involves you navigating a spaceship while getting stalked by invisible enemies that you can only track by sound (piano keys to be exact) and have to utilize a catch-all tool with limited battery power to fend them off...which honestly makes me wish we got a more modernized take on that instead, but oh well!
I remember playing the demo for this thing from Itchio and getting turned off by just how boring the game was and how hard they were pushing their discord for the “code words” sprinkled throughout the game that I did not in fact find and maybe something about lore? Idk, my memories are hazy since it was a couple years back and after getting stuck I dropped it and deleted the files off my pc. Glad to see they’re still pushing to artificially inflate their discord
my cat likes to twitch-kick his hind leg like he's a horse. He does this primarily when there's a breeze or draft that touches his bum. He also goes 'borl' instead of 'meow', we named him Conan because of his joyless expression and wild hair. He took to my dad the way dads take to dogs, the two have a similar expression when watching football. Pure. Stoic. Focus.
My cat is named Venom, he's a small tuxedo tornado who I swear was ginger in a previous life but I adore him anyways because he's sweet outside of also being insane

This is me with cautious skepticism, but the “trailer” for Zoochosis gave me the similar vibes to Sparky Marky. Not because they’re visually similar, but the 100% animated, mock gameplay, full focus on jumpscares screams “cash grab” to me.

Personally, I'm skeptical about Zoochosis. All I've seen were prerendered trailers, security footage-style gifs, some cutscenes, and little to no actual gameplay outside of walking around and getting jumpscared. After doing light googling, I can only assume that it's going to be a FNAF-like task management game that relies on their freaky monster designs. And while the giraffe looks amazing, the kangaroo is just silly.
If there's anything out there that actually shows some convincing, real gameplay, I'd love to see it.
I sincerely hope the devs are actually making a good game, I just seriously side-eye these kinds of project that seems so reluctant to show what their game actually is.

The best way I could tell that it was deeply unpopular was when my own younger brothers had no idea what Sparky is, and they're really into the horror mascot games. I am definitely gonna check out Zoochosis though when it comes out, I just hope that they actually get voice actors this time.
On the cat topic, I had a cat named Taffy once. They were a pain in the ass. Always bit me for no reason and they always immediately came for me whenever I walked out of my room alone. Eventually made me afraid to even come out until other people were out of their rooms too. We do not have that one now, thankfully. We eventually got two more cats soon after Taffy was given away. One was a black cat named Mavin that had to be put down due to a urinary tract infection and the other one was a breed of cat that I can’t remember off the top of my end but I want to say it was a calico or something. Her name is Willow. She’s still alive and well, She’s annoying too. Mavin was honestly the better one. He may have jumped up on stuff a lot, but he was nice and liked being pet. May he rest in peace. Speaking of him, he was buried in my uncles property for some reason, if I’m not mistaken.

My experience with having cats all my life.
Cats were rather scared or aggressive towards me when I was young. I always tried to force cuddles and my brother would do cat bowling.
Now older and learned about cat behaviour, I have very affectionate cats.
Basically, don't force them into things :P

Family or outside forces can contribute to a cats aggression. Even just having a neighbours cat hanging around can upset certain cats.

I remember watching a tutorial video for a Multiplayer version of Sparky Marky on how to give the role to whom Sparky Marky is chasing. It was unbelievably bloated and more complicated than it should be.
I know that you didn't wanted to talk about Sparky in the comments, but I need to say this.
I did some digging about the devs working on Clapperheads, and I found out that some of them worked on the Hello Neighbor IP , and almost all of their games have game design problems similar to Spark Marky.
Which is, like, almost some sorts of Pharaoh's level of game curse.
I like the idea of having to go “outside” the game to solve puzzles, but instead of discord they could have made it a welcome to the game kind of situation, where the game itself contains the plot and also a virtual desktop or something like that that you have to transverse to continue, that way you don’t have to exit out every few minutes and break immersion

you can definitely see they KNOW horror stuff. The idea of sparky is honestly really cool and the environment looked interesting to me but we cant keep doing these walking demos with one jumpscare thing guys you gotta...gotta make a game...

None of it makes sense. Like, 16 (barely an exaggeration) single use gimmick guns that aren’t used at all and are difficult to remember and acquire if you ever do need one, why would a training facility or real facility require a crypto currency (that somehow is found irl) to unlock hacking (why is hacking encouraged? Just open the door!) or something as simple as using an elevator?? You telling me a wheelchair user can get trapped in the upper/lower floors if they don’t own enough credits?? The hell?
The rooms don’t look sciency, no science happens there at all and I don’t understand why these monsters get in these suits in the first place
Use the tokens for extra ammo or instant refresh cool-downs, and have it mapped to a key instead of a cumbersome in-game menu screen that makes you stop moving.
Markiplier played the second one and both he and I got so confused that I didn’t finish watching it. Idk if he even finished playing it. It was as terrible to watch as it is to play

I heard a lot of good ideas from this video, and I saw a lot of lost potential. First of all, I love the idea of multiple monsters using the same suit, but in execution… Why? Why that suit in particular, why does the suit even look like that. It looks so jarring compared to the rest of the game. The sci-fi SCP style labs don’t fit with the bright pink peanut look of the mascot, and again, WHY are they using that suit? It would be cool if these were some unimaginable horror that could only be contained in these specialized suits, acting as a sort of straight jacket to keep them from harming themselves or others. I’m picturing some old tattered rags clinging onto this amorphous shape that could be any monster.
Picture this. The facility has several monsters locked away, sealed inside three suits that all look exactly identical. One day, one of these monsters manages to break free of their restraints, and kills the other creatures. Now, you need to find out which one survived because tactics that could stop some monsters may only embolden whatever is chasing you. The suit isn’t some happy mascot, it’s a mess of mangled metal and cloth, a bulky metal mask hiding the monster’s true face. But in that large hunk of metal, you see eyes and a mouth, an unintentional design that our brain recognizes thanks to paradollia. Buried under the sparking wires of the mask, you can almost make out a large toothy grin.
Watching Markiplier play this was absolutely insane and confusing. Glad I got at least some explanation of what the hell this abomination of a game was.
Btw my cat Venus was a stray we caught and is the yappiest girl ever
*26:24* my cat is named autumn, she is cute, she sometimes paws at her water dish and is just overall a very sweet bean (she was named that way because of her fur pattern, she is an American shorthair)
I wonder how this could work if Sparky Marky was a good game. I could vibe with the design, because the Eye design looked pretty cool, but the rest of the design is so bland yet jarringly colorful- and there could be so much more done. ALSO CHANGE THE NAME.
For the whole, “you need discord to play!” Id instead have a Oneshot/DDLC or Simulacra type thing where you have to look at files or there’s a In Game app that you have to look through to help solve puzzles.
I’d also definitely change the name, and maybe even the idea of it being generic “Childrens Mascot.” I want something new, like a Technology Company’s Mascot, seeing as how there’s a very Digital theme.
Really like these summary/analysis videos! It definitely helps that you’re hitting some fresh topics I haven’t personally seen many talk about. Hope to see more!

I have two cats, Ozzy and Shimmer. I got Shimmer when I was four, and she’s always been very grumpy. She’s super affectionate but only on her own terms
Ozzy is very big, clumsy, and learned how to cat from the dog. He can and will bite, a lot, but he’s also the sweetest cat I’ve ever met
My cat is named Tabatha, she was one of the cats that my grandmother had, she used to take in stray cats that would show up. She's blind in one eye and is very talkative to us, which earned her the nickname "Sassy lady".; We also have a dog named Niko she gets along with.

Sparky's design looks like one of those intentionally bad TF2 loadouts where they stack on mismatched Halloween cosmetics to make their character look as stupid as possible.
never had acat but in my previous neighborhood around before i was in the 3rd grade there was this orange stray that used to roam the neighborhood, it was actually pretty healthy as far as strays go(its pretty commoon around here)
one day I just left a bowl of milk out for it(cant remember if it was a he or a she) and it drank it, did it again the next time it came over and again until it became a habit of little me and to the point where the cat would just lie down and stay in the front yard area fro a while after having its milk break and would allow younger me to pet it
eventually we moved out of that neighborhood and i never saw it again
this is exactly what I needed today, keep it up you're amazing ❤️

It is an amazingly well made FNAF-inspired analog horror/tragedy with great designs, amazing lore, stellar voice acting, and engaging characters, with the twist to most games and series in the genre being that the ‘mascot’ characters aren’t the villains, but victims of the villain that are actively helping the protagonist to fix things, and they aren’t all children, but a combination of children, teens, and adults, including one who was actually a founder of the facility where everything goes down, I can’t do the series justice in a single comment, but I suggest you check it out and if it fits what you’re trying to do with the channel give it a review so that more people can discover it!
When you mentioned Zoochosis I couldn't believe it had the same creator. I love Zoochosis, despite it not being out yet, and I'm very surprised that these 2 are siblings.

Ngl, I really liked how Sparky Marky looked and the concept behind multiple monsters hiding inside identical looking mascot costumes, sucks that they were only trying to go for a multiplayer experience since the concept could have been really cool
My cat is named Sullivan and is the laziest floof and tends to loaf around and he will literally lay on anyone who lays down near him he is named after James P Sullivan from monsters inc unlike most cats he hardly attacks unless he is hyper he won't even if provoked most of the time and just loves attention

I have a spoiled fat black cat named Ash. He was my late uncle’s and I sort of inherited him when he passed because I’d had 2 pet cats before. He’s the first one I’ve had that’s lived more than 4 years (my previous 2 had weird health complications), and I adore him. I got him a water fountain recently and it’s been a life changer.
