Every once in a while our parts lady will call me and just vent for 45minutes saying how she's gotta go to the hospital twice for her daughter and how her little boy is being a maniac and all kinds of stuff then she'll say, "ok I just wanted to let you know they did fix the hydraulic leak" 😂. It's like dang lady you have an entire family... but I listen and enjoy it

What is undervalued here is the way John accepts the money. A lot of people who live the way he does, helping out others and believing it will come back to you, forget to receive. He recognised the kindness and accepted. I LOVE THAT
my dad was type 1 diabetic and while he was driving, he started feeling sick and realized his blood sugar was dangerously low. he pulled over to a gas station and was starting to pass out in the front seat. the lady at the register inside could see him parked out front, so she went to go check up on him. she brought him a sugary drink, no charge, and called a doctor and stayed with him til they came to take him to the hospital. he could've died if nobody had noticed him, and I'm thankful for the kind people who took care of him.
He wouldn’t have just been passing out he probably started seizing and could have been seriously hurt in a confined space. Thank god for good people like that lady. Been type 1 since I was 9 27 now, have had a couple good samaritans help me in times of need, hope they are all blessed.
I hate to rain on the parade, but as a type 1 myself, these instances are just a reflection of poor control. If you're a newly diagnosed diabetic, I get it. But if not, you should have known.

I’m type 2 and don’t use insulin so I haven’t had this happen yet. I lost weight and my blood sugar tested normal but I celebrated like I was cured and I gained it back and I have been ignoring it lately. I need to get back to eating better. Too many carbs. No sugary food though.

Or it may be a vlogger who records everything with a level of 4 or lower, the slow quiet voice says this is possible, if you've ever gone hypoglycemic then you know how rough it can be. Or as you said it could be setup, can never really tell these days if it's a really good setup or real. Personally I just give the benefit of the doubt unless it's a no effort fake, those can sod right off.
@@patfromamboyhonestly with most diabetic medication you need to ensure you eat enough carbs to ensure you don't push your levels too low. It's just a case of finding the right balance, cutting the sugary foods is a great start though.

I wish I knew who this man was, I’d love to personally thank him. I’m a 21 year old type 1 diabetic and have been since I was 2. I know how scary that situation would feel coming into a store and asking for help like that as a grown man… but it wouldn’t be if everyone acted with that level of kindness. Ask a stranger to help them with a problem they dont have 2. Give the stranger a reward only if they agree to help. 3. Play sad music at the end to make it seem really emptional. These creators are self serving and manipulative. He likely doesnt even have diabetes. He probably just implied that because he knows that someone helping out someone because their life might be in danger is more profitable than helping out someone in much more insignificant circumstances. For example, a stranger comes up and asks for 2 dollars for a train or bus ride. You give it to them. Is that any less of an act of kindness than if you had a 2 dollar can of soda and gave it to someone with LBS?

some people are actually very nice. i have a brother with type 1 diabetes, and one day he was all alone, like 9 km away from home, no money on him, his blood sugar dropped really badly. he went into a store and asked if he could get some juice, and they gave it to him for free even though he offered to transfer them the money later on
We had a guy come over and cut our grass today. He was in some serious heat with his son weed eating and mowing with a push mower. Before he left we paid him. And he stood and talked with us for 20 minutes. I can not express how much happiness and hope he brought. He spoke about all kinds of things. How the world changed and how neighbors don't help like they used to. But he spoke with a purpose and a point. Hes like us. Another struggling family in the world . I have never been more willing to stand and listen to someone as I did earlier. He is what I wish for in my family. And in my daily life. We need more people like bubba. People who are more kind hearted and willing to lend a helping hand. I loved talking to him and hope to speak with him(or someone of his niceness) again. God bless you bubba

You should carry around "Gluco-juice" with you. Other things include: "Dextrose" and "Glucose Chews" I'm also Type 1 Diabetic it's almost suicide to not have these on you
Currently on holiday in Norway, last night called an ambulance for my father who had a hypo due to his diabetes. Woke up and screamed help around the streets of Bergen as we didnt know the emergency number. If someone approaches you with this problem please be sure to help them as it could be life threatening ❤

I got pulled over for going to slow. I was just being careful. I didn't know i was driving so slow at all. My blood sugar was very low. I got pulled over for driving slow, and i explained to the offer what was going on. He walked me to the gas station, which was very close. And waited with me until i was okay. He didn't treat me like a criminal for not following the law. But went above and beyond and left a everlasting impression for kindness and compassion and to show that not all police are bad. These are the people we need in this world. But why is it so few?

I wish I knew who this man was, I’d love to personally thank him. I’m a 21 year old type 1 diabetic and have been since I was 2. I know how scary that situation would feel coming into a store and asking for help like that as a grown man… but it wouldn’t be if everyone acted with that level of kindness. We need more kindness like that in this world .

No we dont. We need altruism. Not this mans false brand of kindness. For every $50 or $100 he gives out to someone for "helping him" he makes thousands off of the videos just in ad revenue alone. Not to mention any sponsorships he has.
The cashier on the other hand... thats an example of pure altruism. Helping someone despite the fact it will cost you someone and leave yourself with a little less.
However these kindness creators always follow the same formula.
1. Ask a stranger to help them with a problem they dont have
2. Give the stranger a reward only if they agree to help.
3. Play sad music at the end to make it seem really emptional.
These creators are self serving and manipulative. He likely doesnt even have diabetes. He probably just implied that because he knows that someone helping out someone because their life might be in danger is more profitable than helping out someone in much more insignificant circumstances.
For example, a stranger comes up and asks for 2 dollars for a train or bus ride. You give it to them.
Is that any less of an act of kindness than if you had a 2 dollar can of soda and gave it to someone with LBS?
I wish everyone was like this. No violence, no fighting, just genuine peace and good vibes everywhere. Every state, every country, the whole world.
That's what customer service is about. Helping, guiding and being kind to others.

some people are actually very nice. i have a brother with type 1 diabetes, and one day he was all alone, like 9 km away from home, no money on him, his blood sugar dropped really badly. he went into a store and asked if he could get some juice, and they gave it to him for free even though he offered to transfer them the money later on

We had a guy come over and cut our grass today. He was in some serious heat with his son weed eating and mowing with a push mower. Before he left we paid him. And he stood and talked with us for 20 minutes. I can not express how much happiness and hope he brought. He spoke about all kinds of things. How the world changed and how neighbors don't help like they used to. But he spoke with a purpose and a point. Hes like us. Another struggling family in the world . I have never been more willing to stand and listen to someone as I did earlier. He is what I wish for in my family. And in my daily life. We need more people like bubba. People who are more kind hearted and willing to lend a helping hand. I loved talking to him and hope to speak with him(or someone of his niceness) again. God bless you bubba

As a Diabetic 2 Person I had a same situation in a bakery, when I was really down in sugar and shaking. The girl help me out with the sweetest cake she had and helped me alot.
You should carry around "Gluco-juice" with you. Other things include: "Dextrose" and "Glucose Chews"
I'm also Type 1 Diabetic it's almost suicide to not have these on you

Currently on holiday in Norway, last night called an ambulance for my father who had a hypo due to his diabetes. Woke up and screamed help around the streets of Bergen as we didnt know the emergency number. If someone approaches you with this problem please be sure to help them as it could be life threatening ❤

i work at KFC and i was having a fairly hard day, a lady asked me about how my glasses broke and i told her and she seemed too be empathetic about it, later on after she ate another coworker called me up and she just gave me 100 dollars for my glasses and then said its for that and said nothing else, people truly have kindnes in this world no matter what and it shows everywhere, even where it isnt the most

I got pulled over for going to slow. I was just being careful. I didn't know i was driving so slow at all. My blood sugar was very low. I got pulled over for driving slow, and i explained to the offer what was going on. He walked me to the gas station, which was very close. And waited with me until i was okay. He didn't treat me like a criminal for not following the law. But went above and beyond and left a everlasting impression for kindness and compassion and to show that not all police are bad. These are the people we need in this world. But why is it so few?
