Absolutely undoubtedly his VERY best work. Singing from the heart and not too long after he was regularly skint and comparatively down at heel. These conditions make you feel it and sing it for real. Harder to spontaneously sing from the heart and mean every word, when you're a multi-millionaire living the dream. Then, you can only try and sing from the memory of hard times, which is much more unconvincing to the listener. BIG difference in your feel for singing the blues when going thru hard times and struggling to make the big-time, to trying to sing the blues when you've made it and living high on the hog 24/7, 365 days a year.

I remember when i flyed to las Vegas to go see his show for the first time i felt in love with this gourges beautiful men it was the first time id seen his show it was amazing i felt in love the way he sang his songs and the music i had goosebumps i would ❤ love to said hello and meet him but it was impossible it was my first and last that i got to see him i was just 22yrs old at that time i went back but he wasn't there anymore his he had finished his residency there in las Vegas id never gave up it took dacades untill one day i went to utube and found him there and found out where he wasi got in contact with him i was so happy ❤ 😮 😢 that i found ❤❤❤❤ him my only love 😢 i love this men with all my❤❤ heart my dream is to meet him in person before at the end of my journey

I agree.....but Elvis still gives me "goosies" too. I was lucky enough to have been able to have seen both artists live in concert, in their prime. I was even fortunate enough to get backstage to receive a peck kiss from Sir Tom. 💓💓💓

i was only around 8 years old when i heard his voice on the radio it was called Delilah i was hocked ever since on his voice but the trouble was i was born in 1969 so i missed out all of his best prime younger years on his tv show this is tom jones so i went out and brought out the blu ray set but all the songs i wanted was cut out as it was edited so badly half of his best performance wasn't even in there so the only way to track them down is for someone to put them on CZcams like this song that i never had so who ever put this on thankyou. Also when i was growing up he was rarely on tv back in the late 90's and 2000's it only since 2012 hes been every where from doing the voice and guest appearance on shows even hosting children in need it the only real time i had the chance to see him on tv

This is the first I am hearing Tom's rendition! He always gives his all to his performances, a true Master who never disappoints. [Edited in May 2023: Just saw him, who is turning 83 in concert. A true wonder at that age! I enjoyed every moment...danced in the aisle. He's still the great charismatic Entertainer, and still has that unbelievable powerful golden voice! I want to see him again!❤ long may he live to entertain!!

No one expects 'the power of Tom', and this particular reactor was blown away so many times that I was surprised he wasn't slammed into the wall and knocked unconscious. He also made an observation of a genuine friendship between you both and this shows you were ahead of the game in more ways than one.
