I think if anybody can live to be at least 100, Sir Tom can do it. Im sure he has some ailments due to age, but you can tell he is extraordinary condition, just by how he is still able to hit all those high notes, and sound awesome. Thats very very rare for anybody his age. Because as any singer, good or not so good knows, the physical strength it requires, to even attempt to hit the high notes, that Tom still easily nails perfectly, is physically and mentally exhausting. He's blessed beyond measure, to still be capable of doing what he does at 84, that most singers lose the ability to do, in their 50's or 60's.

March 2024. I'm 65 this year, I've grown up listening to Tom Jones, I probably even watched this performance the first time round. Tom's generation of singers were truly exceptional, they had it all, talent, charisma (Tom still does), they didn't need gimmicks, auto tuning, they worked the clubs, the shows, nothing was handed to them on a plate. . Tom sang with his whole body.....we will never see his like again in today's performers.

It's amazing how songs can transport us to another place and time. They bring back memories. A day when you heard a song years ago and all of a sudden you can see that blue sky you saw that day, you see that beautiful woman again as she was 40 years ago, you smell those leaves burning in the backyard... music is amazing and the best singers bring those memories back.
