The best general of the galactic empire Imperial army stormtroopers star wars lore Andor ISB clone wars admirals order 66 darth vader grand moff tarkin death star - Zábava
This guy earned the respect of both Palpatine and Tarkin. That's pretty impressive!
Yes, but did he earn Vader's respect?
That says a lot.
@Starwarsbattlefront2player Justafan an excellent point.
@@missinginaction2b He Didn't !.
Tarkin was a total hardass too, so his respect is no easy feat.
“Left him looking terribly scarred”
The old guy who played him in A New Hope:
“Excuse me?”
But you can be sure that his resolve has never been stronger
One thing I love about Legends (EU) content is how hard they worked to give each character from the movies, no matter how small, their own backstory and make them seem essential. If you haven’t read the Legends novel Death Star, I _highly_ recommend it as it fills in a lot of backstory for the various people on the Death Star and how the plans got leaked (pre-Disney)
That novel covers a small portion, to be fair. Good for developing backstory, however it's contrived ending is a little questionable. 500 X-wing starfighters being obliterated within a maneuver the Alliance wouldn't have ever taken.
The Death Star schematics were stolen multiple times within the EU.
Ah, a man of taste
Eeyup.
Still one of my favorite novels. I think my favorite character in the whole story was also the most tragic: Tenn Graneet, chief gunnery officer for the Death Star's superlaser.
@@AshanBhatoa I've always figured that the many times the plans were stolen refers to just how bloody big the Death Star is--no one theft ever gave the rebels all the plans, but pieces.
Thing is a lot of imperials really truly believed they were the good guys some probably did some good things even as they simply wanted to protect their community.
Easy to see Imperials as the good guys when they are fighting slavers/Separatists
the empire are the good guys , dont let rebel terroist propaganda blind you.
Minister Maketh Tua
I rather liked Tua as she tryed to actualy do her best for her pepol
They WERE the good guys
Romodi is the example of true Imperial loyalty, sacrificing both body and mind for his planet and the Empire.
Romodi is a pure chad, the general who isnt afraid to command his troops directly in the battlefield like a good old warlord of the ancient times !
I miss Star Wars Legends when we had such details about secondary or background characters giving them importance into the lore (even thoughts sometimes It can be quite messed up)
It still exists, we just won't get anything new for the expanded universe as a whole until disney decide to produce legends content again.
The fact that even Darth Vader respected Rodomi speaks volumes of this tactical and Strategic ingenuity!
A man so determined, not even near death, grievous injuries that could bring it,disabilities and old age could (fully) stop him
The Commissar Yarrick of Star Wars.
Gets his body pushed to the limits of its endurance from battlefield injuries and still commands a battle to the end. Respect
Don’t forget he is one of the few Star Wars characters to suffer from PTSD, that also makes him stand out
ya know....dident think about that
It’s stuff like this that really makes you appreciate the legends stuff more. The fact that the general was such a badass and inspiring his troops on top of being an expert military strategist who earned Tarkin and even Palpatine’s respect is something awesome.
Romodi, after listening to about 10 waves of artillery: "I think I'm going deaf."
His officers: "Then why don't you withdraw from the frontlines, you psychopath?!"
(The Chad) Romodi: "Nah, that's stupid. Just cut out my eardrums and replace them with cybernetics, that'll do well enough."
(a little while later, after *literally blowing up* )
Romodi: "I can't see, and I feel like I'm floating. What happened?"
His officers: "You were blown up by a grenade! You're stuck in a bacta tank BLINDED! NOW will you take a break?"
Romodi: "No, just replace my eyes with cybernetics and describe the battle to me, I'll continue from here."
His officers (justifiably horrified): "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
(Fabricator-General) Romodi: *"Even in death I serve the **-Omnissiah-** Emperor."*
This guy is an absolute chad every military commander should aspire to be like him
Bro read a history book🤣
Romodi doesnt even have to flinch to make someone like Hux scared of him
He wouldn't even need to say a word. Hux would just quietly sit back down and be very very quiet until the grown ups were done talking.
Damn even a 40K commisar would be impressed by this man.
I thought Commisars were just political officers
Not tactical commanders
@@luigimrlgaming9484 commisar’s in 40K manage morale and take charge of command if they judge them to be incompetent.
@@jorikrouwenhorst7220 ok
So political officers and if the current commander is incompetent
The commissar takes conmand
Alright
@@luigimrlgaming9484 Commissar is more than just political officer. They are the best that schola (academy) can offer, second to inquisitors. They are more than qualified to replace most people in the chain of command.
@@shawnli9775 thanks someone already explained this
I honestly didn't expect this chad, I expected someone like Veers. But I sure am glad to learn just how legendary this chief of badassery is.
Edit: This dude lost his hearing and was like "Rip them out and give me cybernetics!" and "Imma lead this operation even from a bacta tank!" And this dude survived the first Death Star and was still ready to kick some ass!
"Imma lead this operation even from a bacta tank!". You know, Gilad Pellaeon do that during battle of Borosk (Yuuzhan Vong War).
@@wojtek561 he did that as well? Apperantly Chad's don't lead from the front, they lead from bacta tank
@@dovahfett5919 Not mere Chads. *Giga*chads.
Iv been watching this channel since it was called "fact free" its good to see you're still making awesome videos
OH yeah, I remember when it was called Fact Free. You jogged my memory. This is definitely one of my longer subscribed CZcams channels.
i like to think he had such refined reflexes and iron will that his dementia would make him completely incoherent right until battle is joined where he just snap out of it and command like a badass
I’m certain Romodi lived the last of his years on a remote temperate world in peace after the Death Star’s destruction. Perhaps Naboo? He likely left the Death Star believing the Rebels were probably going to successfully destroy it or left more or less before the Battle of Yavin.
That’s what I was about to think, however what about Barton Coburn? the admiral seen with the 104th Clone Legion?
He may have been an Imperial, but really he had to have to just imagine how many Rebel Leaders had to change their pants. After learning this Chad not only was not killed in an explosion, but also directed the war from a Bacta Tank. Not even Vader could do that. Or even any other military competent Jedi would be able to do it. Or no story has ever been told of a Jedi ever doing it. Meaning, this guy is a Giga-Chad that schooled fancy glowstick-wielding monks on how to direct a war.
Salutes this Guy Romadi earned my respect in battle
6:44 When you're such a badass even Tarkin is a fan of you. And it is now my headcanon Tarkin got an autograph from Romodi.
It would be cool if in Legends he survived and fought beside both the Imperial Remnant and New Republic in the Yuzang Vong War.
It’s always a good day when The Lore Master posts a video
Wow if any imperial commanders ever get one shot mini series. He should be one of them.
Man won a battle while in the hospital
If you still do the “what characters do in their free time” videos, I wasn’t sure if you would be able to do General Grievous, as I am actually really curious as to what he does when he’s not making new fine additions to his collection
Romodi deserves his own movie
Romodi, Thrawn, Yularen. The Trinity of Imperial Bros.
You’re videos a right on! Please keep making more!
If I survived the destruction of the Death Star I’d also start putting booze in my coffee
love your videos dude. been watching them for years.
This is the hardest General in Star Wars. 😎
Excellent writing!
Glad to see the Chad Romodi being brought back in the Bad Batch, even if it was just a minor cameo.
Great video
Ah, The Essential Guide to Warfare. Brilliant reference books.
Great job
I’m waiting for the Thrawn cameo in Andor
They're going to need it, buzz seems to be that nobody's watching it... 😂👌
Edit: I mean, I am, and you probably are, but... it doesn't seem to be catching...
This guys awesome
Keeping him alive after the battle of Yavin was a rare Disney W
I would love to see a Grand Moff Tarkin spin-off someday♡
I knew this guy looked familiar, we saw him in Rogue One on the Death Star
Love this.
Damn this music is such a mood 😌
Great video can you please do some more videos on The galactic empire
This cool video
He is alive!
This guy reminds me of the Admiral from Hotshots, He had every part of his body blown off and replaced and was senile.
babe wake up the loremaster posted again
I hate that the first thing that came to my mind when I saw him was "General named Finger"
Star wars has lore on the most random characters, love it
Thank you the English subtitle.
I think the more appropriate term would be the Napoleon of Star Wars for the Imperial Army and the Horatio Nelson of the Imperial Navy..
General Romodi probably loved having to work with Ki-Adi-Mundi during the Battle of Mygeeto, given that jedi-general's reputation as a military leader. Romodi likely rejoiced when he learned the Galactic Marines had killed Mundi.
A true model Imperial officer, whose courage and tactical traits in many of the Empire's successful campaigns have earned him to be deserving of reverence and respect.
Imagine if his name was added to the list of competent Imperials, that would be a huge boon to the Empire.
Some might even call him an equal to Grand Admiral Thrawn.
If there's one wish I cold make about this guy, it's that he would the regional governor of the Outer Rim instead of Tarkin. That way, the Empire wouldn't prove to be weak, let alone vulnerable.
I wonder what Thrawn himself would think of this guy?
What an absolute unit
Most impressive
What a badass!
And I thought Veers was hardcore...
Can you do a video on General Rom Mohc?
Can you make video about terbus the porg
Hmm, that's new to me. I'd never heard of this guy before.
Still mad disney ruined the reason i love sw legends.
The fact that you can find every day new stories you never knew about
The Legends continuity still exists.
Disney didn't burn the novels, comics and brains. Afterall, a media conglomerate does not determine your personal canon.
I prefer the canonical continuity, however the EU is far from ruined. Especially when so many of its fans note it's greatest achievements.
@@AshanBhatoa
Oh, don't give us that traaaaash.
They stopped producing content only to rip off a lot of it just so they wouldn't have to pay royalties.
You can like Disney, and that's fine. But let's be real here, Disney straight up yeeted both legends and Lucas canon.
Do someone know the name of an eaw foc mod where you play this reconquest ?
It's a scenaristic campaign
Impressive
So who was the best alliance army leader? Crix? Riekkan?
Like the lore masters content 👍
He is like the Star wars version of President Teddy
If this guy went up against Thrawn in a mock war, it's very likely their tactics would put them in a stalemate.
I'm not so sure about that, I think it depends on how long the fight lasts. Thrawn excels at winning prolonged battles and campaigns where he can afford to take losses while analyzing his foes' strategy for weaknesses to exploit (what sets Thrawn apart from his contemporaries is that he's completely willing to take a loss if it means gaining something that will be useful to him later). Romodi, on the other hand, thinks on his feet and improvises, and would probably win if he can end the fight quickly enough.
@@z3r0_35 That's precisely what I'm talking about.
He’s basically Rommel. Rommel had the same main command tank in Africa.
Wowza!
Yessir
Hey Lore Master.👋
What are your thoughts on Andor?
I’m enjoying it a lot so far!
@@TheLoreMasterYT
Me too. For a mature Star Wars show, I am most impressed. And so are a lot of people.
He is impressive,
Most impressive.
So basically a Star Wars George Patton
Imagine if he was fighting tooth and nail against the rebels and stu]ill took out a sizeable number while half lucid. giga chad
I always thought Veers was the best general, given my knowledge on Star Wars. However, seeing this vid proves my lack of knowledge of Imperial generals.
Romodi is like space Stonewall Jackson and General Patton combined
To get the respect of tarkin is very impressive

Man sounds like you are describing a hardcore Imperium of Man Commisar, but one that's good at leading the men
So someone like Cain or Yarrik, am I correct?
If so, how do you think either would do in their place and how do you think the empire would receive them?
This is Canon for me!
I thought general veers was thrawn of the imperial army.
Now I want him to be in Andor after watching all this.
Uh... why? They would just ruin the character like they do with every other expanded universe character/story they rope in to their trash. ✌😕
@@draconianemanations2785 andor is different and is 🔥 they would def do him justice in andor
@@tylerm7035 Uhhh No it's not. It pays HEAVILY lipservice to the sequel trilogy, and Mon Mothma is an insufferable, holier-than-thou hippie and desperate housewife.
@@yrooxrksvi7142 Granted it's been a while since I watched but what *HEAVY* Sequel Trilogy lip service?
The whole Mothma insufferable thing is certainly subjective but to say she's a housewife seems outright contrarian.
@@StrongandStable17 Name dropping Jakku ? Hosnian Prime? Canto Bight ?
The Quad Jumper from TFA ? Almost all bg aliens are from the Sequels. Not a Rodian, Twilek, Gran, Bith, or any prequel alien.
So Mon Mothma crying over riling up the Empire after SHE gave the funds to Luthen is not being hypocritical?
I said desperate housewife because they portrayed her as the most stereotypical overburdened busy career woman, stuck in a loveless marriage with a rebellious teen girl, just to get emotional bait.
This guy makes me want to join the Empire tbh
Personally my favorite is Zsinj :)
Daala was pretty savage.
Name of the song at the beginning?
Upside Down by Text Me Records.
Song names are shown in the video as they start with the bottom blue tag.
The true imperial goat.
Why does he remind me of General Patton in a way?
Richie… it’s Chief Inspector Gobbler….shhhhit….
How did romondi view the Jedi? Then again if he served under ki adi mundi I can guess.
Sounds like a Patton of Star Wars

ADMIRAL ⚡SCREED
He would have made a fine Rebellion/New Republic general, I'll say.
not likely the rebellion and New republic had the shittiest military tacticians ever, only saving grace, was their ability to conscript below average aces and en mass attack military strategic points suffereing no losses thanks to god level plot armour lmao.
