Hey everyone! We’re Cole & Charisma. Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about how we make things work as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. There are certainly differences, and despite them we have a great time, all the time! On this channel, you’ll find travel vlogs, Q&As, couple challenges, how-to/educational videos and more. We started this channel to bring people into our lives so we can answer some questions about how we navigate the world. We’ll show you behind-the-scenes stuff people typically don't see, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about positivity, inclusion, and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!

My husband (a complete paraplegic) and I just had our second child! Both of our kids were conceived naturally without any help from a fertility specialist. Just wanted to give you some hope that it can happen!

Cole and Charisma, you rwo inspire me with your love. I just love young love! My husband, who is from Iran, He has been here been here longer than he lived in Iran, we met when he was 19 and I was 17 years old. We dated 8 1/2
and married for 35 years. After many years of marriage we decided it was time to start a family.
I had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis st age 24. I worked in a Pt and OT dept at our local hospital. When my husband and I were ready for children we realized we couldn't. I was taiking a lot of meds for my RA. . Then greatest gift of all........We adopted a daughter from China, then a few years later we adopted a sister. They're a seven year difference between them. From the time I was in high school adopting was a dream of mine.
Dreams do come true. I can wait to hear about your baby! Keep on rolling and stay positive my friends. You are the loveliest couple around ♥️🌷🌻

My husband is healthy and I am disabled. I have difficulty walking and always have. He was the most popular, hottest, coolest guy in his neighborhood and I scoffed him when I was 19. It's been 32 years.
Two of our kids have my problems. Two do not. But all of them, young men, are very compassionate, helpful, gentle hearted and husband/ father material.
Being raised in an inter-abled homed benefited them immensely.
The disability itself is a drag. His family did not want this for him and now that I'm a mother I can understand. But we've outlasted the critics and you can, too.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) was a new thing back in 1995 when we used this procedure. My husband had been a quadriplegic since age 22 (1981), this procedure worked fabulously for us. We gave birth to healthy, beautiful quintuplets. Yep, that's 5 babies. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you both. My daughter recommended your youtube channel to me, saying how much you both remind her of our relationship together. God bless you both....I love the positive spirits you both have.

@@deemichelle we tried for years first, then adopted a darling little guy in 1991. Then we sought out infertility treatments, and God blessed us with our pregnancy on the first try.

I personally don’t want kids, but my heart absolutely SOARS seeing a wonderful young couple so excited about parenthood. Children are a gift and any child/children coming from y’all will be so lucky to have y’all as parents.

I really respect you guys for talking about this! My dad has been a Quadriplegic since he was 17 and i was born 5 years later! Then 25 years later my brother was born! Keep up the awesome content guys!

As a mom of multiples...it’s extremely difficult I constantly wish I had an extra set of hands. To enjoy your new found parentage and just showering that baby with love and attention. I would try for 1 baby, don’t get me wrong I love my kids but I have cried most nights and that’s with a whole village of help. I would definitely recommend joining the moms of multiples group and speaking to parents that got multiple naturally and with IVF assistance. This will paint a very accurate picture. Either way good luck 🍀 And lots of baby dust!!!

I have 2 kids, post-SCI. One via IVF, and one “oopsie” (pls don’t tell her I said that 😂😂) Parenthood is hard no matter what your ability, but you find a way to make it all work and it’s the best thing ever!

My sister had IVF in Canada. She had multiple failed attempts and then last try succeeded. Cost was $21,000 for 1 child. No triplets or twins. Her second child came natural. It's when you stress about it you have a harder time conceiving. To note he didn't have much swimmers. Children are everything. I wish you nothing but the best in life and hopefully one day I can be as positive as you are. Still single and I'm 31 😭 That's ok. All in God's hands 🙏

What does love got to do with physical limitations? And they probably already have had (safe) sex so they know if some kind of penetration is doable. Otherwise they can use donated sperm.
@@elnauu411 There are also other ways besides donated sperm. E.g. some people with spinal cord injuries can't conceive 'naturally' but can with some medical help.
What that's not how it works. How many couples struggle with the fact that they just aren't able to have kids even after trying IVF and everything there's out there...

I hope you have the same luck as me and my wife. Quite a few people in our circle of friends and immediate family had real trouble conceiving so we had this idea we should start early on to try for a baby in case it was going to take a long time. She got pregnant in the first month. Same story with our second baby. Good luck, guys. And any kids are going to be SO blessed and happy to have you as parents.

My father was a tri-quad. He had use of his arms but was paralyzed from about half way up to his chest down. He broke his neck jumping off a bridge into a river one day and my four other siblings were with him when it happened. My father had swam there many times but the river was low on this day and he didn't know. Anyway, my mother met him after his accident and I am living proof that they can have kids cause guess what? My father and mom made me! He passed away in 2011 while crossing the road in his wheel chair. A young kid came along and accidentally hit him. It didn't kill him instantly, he died on the way to the hospital. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there for any people who have doubt. Hope you two are doing well and when will the babies start coming?! Take care guys! 💘

My son got injured 4 years ago he got depressed just thinking of not being able to be a father ever. I have a lot of faith he will one day. ...Why is everyone so concerned with them getting married? It’s not your relationship. If they wanna have kids tomorrow or in 20 years, married in Vegas tonight or if they never feel the need for paperwork to confirm they’re spending their life together, it’s all fine, and more importantly *their* business.
Cole & Charisma, I just think it’s beautiful you shared and educated people further. (Lol I remember how awkward the intimacy video was for you guys, in a really cute way, but it’s honestly really great to see how comfortable you are because more than anything you’re teaching people and the disability community always needs loud voices✨.)
