LeBron fans gloat about the fact that MJ never beat Bird in the Playoffs, but they only played 2 series against each other in the 1st-round in 1986 and 1987…and the Celtics were loaded w/ 5 HOFers and those Bulls rosters were trash at that point.
    I wish we’d of gotten Jordan vs Bird while they were both at their peak and each had a somewhat equal supporting cast.
    Bird always spoke highly of MJ too, after he averaged 44 PPG in that 1986 sweep he said he’d never seen anyone like him, MJ actually won player of the game in 2/3 losses in that sweep, and still holds the Playoff record with 63 pts from Game 2 of that ‘86 series.

    still not sure why Shaq wasnt their and Lautner was .. other then that and Zeke not bein their it was definitely the greatest team EVER assembled!! Larry Legend with a bad back was still better then 90% of the league

    The only player that had no business in being in that team and was a waste of talent was Laettner. I always will say Thomas should have been there.

      Laetner for Isaiah. Then you don’t need Stockton if you have him and Magic. You need Pippens defense.

    • @rickbateman2401
      @rickbateman2401 Před 2 měsíci

      Sorry, but Stockton makes the team over Isiah. He had a better shooting percentage, FT percentage, was a better shooter from the 3pt line, had a much better assist to turnover ratio and didn’t have half the team hating his guts. Worthy and Pippen were a toss up - Pippen was better defensively and Worthy better offensively at that point in their careers but lets face it, they easily could have picked from a group of 3 or 4 other player who had better numbers than either of them, to play small forward. If you want to put Isiah on the team, it’s Chris Mullen that seems to be the odd choice - he’s a small forward/shooting guard and you already have Bird, Pippen and if needed Barkley to play small forward and you had the two best shooting guards in the league at the time already on the team….

      @@user-sc5kp1sw1g LOL - Laettner was the token white guy????? You realize there were already 2 white guys on the team right? Christian Laettner was the token COLLEGE player, not the token white guy.
