  • Since Covid-19 has given us some down time, I decided to start doing maintenance on my daily driver/ show car. The car is a completely stock 1992 Nissan 300zx NA 2+0. With it almost being a 30 year old car, there are tons of things I want to do to it. So this is the first episode of many on the overhaul of this fairladyz.
In this episode I go over the do's and don'ts on how to remove the engine and tranmission all at once. This is a step by step guide and what needs to be done prior to removing a nissan 300zx engine. We have a ton of footage coming up of this build so make sure you leave a like and subscribe to see more of our content!

I have a z32 that’s been sitting for about 10 years. The last thing I remember was that it had some sort of electrical problem, and the horn would stay on. It happened after my battery touched the roof of my hood. And I never messed with it again. If I want to get my car running again, should I do what you are doing in this video? Or before pulling the engine out should I figure out why it’s not turning on first?
This is a great video btw it really makes me want to start working on my car, I just don’t have much knowledge on how to work on cars, but I want to follow step by step with what you are doing here.

Check oil and coolant. If those are good put a battery in it and see if it starts. You can disconnect the horn or remove the horn fuse if it stays on but it's probably your steering wheel triggering the signal.

Speaking from experience if the weather is cold outside you do not want to be bending the wire harness too much the car is over 30 years old and the harnesses tend to be brittle it's much better to handle them when the weather is warm.

Doesn’t matter if it’s warm or cold the harness needs to be replaced if it’s that bad. Yes a warm day will help with not cracking the harness as much but if that’s your concern you should look into getting a new one there not that expensive.
