The 8 points agreement Mr President midwifed between Wike and Fubara was one-sided in support of Wike against a sitting governor
In fact, that agreement made the governor of the state answerable to an ex-governor Wike. It took executive powers of the governor to FCT minister. Therefore President Tinubu has lost his nuitrality by that agreement imposed on the governor. Nigerians and ruvers people would have lost total trust and confidence in the President's 2nd attempt to settoe the matter politically.
I wish the President's advisers have been bold to call him to be be careful as the agreement he used his position to settle the crusis was faulty and partial.
Wike is currently holding position of FCT minister, and one would have expected Mr. President to tell Wike to concentrate on his ministerial jobs like other ministers appointed frim the main APC government. Wike wasn't the only ex-governor serving as minister under APC government and should not be treated differently from other Ministers who are busy doing their works. There have been many ex Governors in rivers state before Wike, and Wike should not be supported by the ptesident to continue interfaring in Rivers state governors executive functions. Ex Presidents Buhari or Jonathan are not interfering in Tinubu's government and same should be applicable to Rivers state by the President.
When former Lagos governor Ambode was Lagos state governor, Tinubu did not interfere. He allowed him to complete his 4 years term before asking the governor to recontest which he lost. Wike waited for just 5 months and asked his 27 assembly members to impeach a sitting governor without any reasonable impeachable offences, than that the sitting governor refuses to take orders and follow instructions from ex-governor Wike.
The same Wike advised the 27 lawmakers to decamp from PDP to APC without reasonable reasons, all for his selfish power control.
If previous Traditional rulers calendars included Wike when he was a governor, then it may be a disrespect to governor Fubara if a pro Wike traditional rulers changed the usual practice. Don't blame the governor for his action. Wike should be advised that he has become ex rivers state governor, and should allow the current governor to rule peacefully. The more he refuse to allow peace in the state, the more he will loose his supporters.
Any actions taken by President Tinubu in thus crisis including declaration of state of emergency in Rivers state as being rumoured will.not bring the desired peace to Rivers state but will have repercussion on Nigeria politics. We shouldn't forget quickly the late Chief Awolowo/ Akintola saga that affected the 1st republic to avoid truncating democracy in Nigeria because of a single selfish Wike.
