    He was fantastic but one way..he was a blue shirt bollox but a funny one at that ..gave the fine galers an easy ride.a great comedian goes after everyone..

      When Fianna Fail had people like Charles Haughey, Bertie Ahern, Albert Reynolds, PJ Mara, you go where the comedy takes you and it took Dermot straight to them. Garret Fitzgerald was bland as a cuppa soup. The only funny other politician back then is Ireland's now President, Michael D Higgins.
