I saw a great doco on Dermot today regarding his life, family and work and Father Ted. He did stand up before anyone knew what it was. I was ecstatic to find this because they talked about his determination to keep creating his comic writing and performance after a cancellation of his show after 3 series. I believe he was quite advanced soul and was striving on another level to put his loving and comedic message out into the world. It was a race to get to Father Ted. And he did it. God bless all who love his genius as I do. RIP💔💙

Wow, Dermot was even more talented and hilarious than even Father Ted could showcase. His acting skills add so much to this performance and his ability to play completely different characters (the misogynistic French teacher was another universe away from his Devil Bono). We saw so much magnificence from him but for such a short time. I never heard his radio show but apparently that was incredible too.

My searches have provided scant return...:-) Still reckon he's a legend of the first order.
