What Ferrari JUST FOUND Is SHOCKING!

  • ■ Ferrari’s race pace in Suzuka did not disappoint at all after a questionable pair of qualifying that put Sainz and Leclerc at P4 and P8, but considering the fact that Leclerc pulled off a one-stopper in a race that eats up the tyres quite a lot, it goes to show that the improvement in the SF-24 are vastly superior. On top of that, they have not even brought a full upgrade package-the one that was originally planned to be speed up for Suzuka was pushed back for Imola, and after the latest statements from Sainz and Vasseur, as well as comparing the deficit from last year’s Suzuka race, Ferrari do have a lot to look forward to in the remainder of the 2024 campaign!

    Ferrari had by far the least amount of tyre degradation during the Japanese GP, which is a huge surprise considering the fact that this was their biggest weakness throughout the 2023 season. Interesting to note is also that Ferrari's current car, the SF-24, Is still quite a ''basic'' concept that is yet to unlock it's performance with the upgrades they will implement in Imola.
    Do you think they can properly fight Red Bull for wins this season?

    As a Ferrari fan I'm so excited and also a little bit worried about the Imola upgrades. Worried because that Imola race weekend is going to be kind of a "make or break" moment for Ferrari in 2024. If the SF-24 Evo works as everyone is hoping it would work then it could be a really fantastic season for Ferrari but if the gains are smaller than expected then it's going to be such an anti-climax. But both drivers sound very confident when talking about the Imola upgrades so that gives me a lot of hope. Ferrari didn't bring any upgrades to Suzuka and still they were so strong in the race. Ferrari's Technical Director Enrico Cardile is cooking something really good.

      Dream on. 20 seconds behind and imagine they did race the full 53 laps, it would have been bigger. With Ferrari giving it everything and Red Bull cruising and still being faster every lap. And DRS doesn't make you faster when you can't use it. A faster rear wing makes DRS less effective...

      Suzuka was always a strong track for RB and a bad one for Ferrari. But regarding that the deficit is @ 0.39/lap and Max was in clean air, is not as bad as it seems. Look at Australia GP how hard was for Perez to makeup positions in dirty air.

    • @pedrochavez9221
      @pedrochavez9221 Před měsícem +1

      @VadimC1199 Perez had an issue with the venturi tunnels blocked and lost a big chunk of downforce. That's why he was having a hard time in Australia. I get it, we want a more competitive F1. At the moment, Red Bull is dominating, not looking like it will stop. Ferrari is not closing the gap with RB, but it is opening the gap with Mercedes and McLaren

    • @Dorfus2323
      @Dorfus2323 Před měsícem +1

      @VadimC1199 perez had damage on the floor and lost a big amount of downforce. On top of that he isn't Max Verstappen. And another thing leclerc was driving in clean air an enormous amount of the time too. Imagine him making 2 stops he would have lost 24 more seconds and having to get past cars with the same tire age with him already not feeling great at suzuka. What do you think the Red Bull's were doing most of the time? Cruising towards the finish. Nobody was able to get the fastest lap from Max said it all.
      Both Ferrari's were giving it all. One to get back on the podium and the other to stay ahead of Lando. Ferrari gained time compared to the past year, but the second team was further behind compared to last year and that in less time racing.
