They’ve been in there a few years. Never really expected to catch them though
What was the water temp, they looked like pre-spawn, but the water temp needs to be 60 degrees for full spawn. I was at gunlock today and the water wasn't even close

So the ones with the black stripe are called Magnoila, or Blacknose Crappie. And many people who fish for panfish consider it rare even though it lives in 14 different states

crappie will often up hit your jig or fly so you dont know there on i use a stand up bobber so that way the bobber will fall over when they bite!

the crappie were what is called a magnolia crappie, they look just like black crappie but have the black stripe on top of their head

A lot of stocked and some wild. Just depends on where you’re at. They’re all stocked here

You can, just depends on what your using. Small jigs for ponds and creeks I would use a 1000 or 1500 size. Rapala and spoons 2000 would be good👍🏼
