The ole Marley Man hooked a cuz up with an old small boat trailer for the best price available- FREE. In this video I document the entire boat trailer rebuild / restoration. We will strip the trailer down and repaint it.
Remove the old bunks and build and carpet completely new ones. I remove the old hubs, rims and tires and completely replace with all new. I show how to wire in the NILIGHT Halo led trailer light kit in depth. I'll add some LED sidemarker lights as well. I'll bolt on a brand new winch post equipped with a BETTER BOAT winch. Also adding a BETTER BOAT jack. I'll show the installation process and how the amazing STRAPINNO retractable transom straps work. I even find a few minutes in the middle of the jon boat trailer rebuild to take a breather and install new headlights on my truck by NILIGHT!
I'll show all the tips and tricks along the way, tools and materials I use, and go in depth on certain subjects in the video upon installation. And of course show the final product. Chapters listed below, thanks for watching!

AJ I love it. Cant wait for the boat mods you did. That is a cuz set up.
I just did a full resto on mine and converted it to a full bunk trailer... Super excited about the outcome. I could have probably just bought a brand new trailer, but what's the fun in that? Haha. Great video brother.
Beautiful restoration!... Just one question on the boat winch setup... don't you need the addition of safety chain in addition to secure the front of the boat in case the winch strap comes loose? I've been told that most States require this in order to be legal when towing the boat on the highway. Please correct me if I've been misinformed.
I searched and searched and cannot find it as a law in Georgia. Everything I found was related to safety chains connecting the trailer to vehicle tow package. I hate to say it, no boat I've ever built has had one of these on their trailer. Even a brand new Grizzly from Bass Pro....not saying it's right. Obviously a chain is a back up if winch strap fails. For my situation, I'm confident if there was an issue, the rear straps and locking bunks would prevent the boat from coming off. Everyone needs to make their own decision regarding this, I don't make recommendations one way or another.
When are you going to show the video of that boat build?
Very soon my friend
Let’s goooo
Thx for the trailer cuz! She cleaned up nice!
@@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats you killed it homie
No need to touch the lug nuts if you was going to replace the hub and wheels. The cotter pin and castle nut was the only thing you had to remove. the trailer looks good tho.
True. Easier to get the bearing cover off w wheel off. Needed to access the bearings on both sides to confirm sizing. You ain't wrong though.
