Welcome to another aluminum boat build from #brigadeboats . In this video I will show from start to finish how I took a bare aluminum 1997 Basstracker Pro 17 and turned it into a fishing machine!
This video features footage of the full aluminum bass boat build from bare and stripped to built and mint. You'll find info on stripping and gutting boat, carpet prep, carpeting a bass boat, mounting aluminum lids, installing gas struts, batteries and battery trays, upgrading the livewell with recirculation pumps and variable livewell timer, new bilge pump, sealing wood decking properly, installing new deck and floor parts, painting steering consol, wiring boat and full electronics, Gator Skinz on bow and stern, and of course some tips and tricks along the way!
The video shows a majority of the work with voice overs explaining the process. I also show the tools and materials needed to make it happen.
I hope you enjoy the end result.
May your tiny boat builds be great.

Dude. You’re on another plane of craftsmanship and thoughtfulness with your designs and builds. Admired your work since your first boat and it inspired me to rip up a 1985 14ft Alumacraft I was gifted and convert it to a bass boat. Ain’t even in the stratosphere of your work but the effort and project helped me out of a bad little turn of life. There are people with a true understanding and dedication to a craft. People who just have an eye for such precision and quality that few others can see. Seriously man. A gift. I love seeing your process for no other reason than the joy in the making. Can’t wait to see where you take all this. Props.
Man, thanks so much for leaving that! Words can't describe how awesome it is to get feedback like that and know viewers are excited about what I'm doing, it helps fuel the fire! I'm energized that you enjoy and can either use as inspiration/ help with your own project or as entertainment. Thanks again man, I appreciate you 👊
There’s very few do it all well people. It’s even harder for those do it all well types to make a living building. I’m envious and very happy you found a way to do what you love everyday! Keep it up brotha.
Having redone a bass boat myself very recently I appreciate this so much. Everyone wants to do a rebuild boat but fail to realize the amount of work it takes great job man that was a ton of work!
I just purchased a 1990 bass tracker and your videos are going to be a tremendous help to me. Thank you.
Your work is amazing. That boat looks like it would be so much fun. That size seems just right. Big enough to be comfortable but small enough to move the trailer by hand.
You are truly an artist. I have adopted a 1998 Bass Tracker Pro 17 and I can only dream of ever having a boat like you have created. Thanks for motivating me to keep working to get my "project" completed.
I have this exact model of boat but a year older and after the tear down the absolute daunting scale of the task was overwhelming. My friend, your videos have given me hope and confidence that i needed to keep trucking and realise this is not a weekend project and time and care is what was needed. Thanks bro, i love ur video's they're so helpful and 100% inspirational. You gave me the tools needed to get this project done.
Skill, ability, and patience, you're the hero. I don't know what you charge, but it's not enough. I watch very very few videos from start to finish but once I got started, I couldn't stop watching this one. Years ago, I'd started a similar project, and all I got was frustrated and wound up giving the darn boat away. I'm not known as quitter, but I will tap out when I see it's hopeless, ha. Excellent Job!
Absolutely stunning, cuzzin! This is why I love watching your videos...it's always top-notch work, and I learn new things every time. Keep it up!
Wow! Fantastic work and attention to detail. Most people don't take that much pride in their work especially if its not for themselves. Very well done!
Bro. I just bought an old bass tracker list from hurricane harvey. I would never thought it could come out anything near that nice. Awesome and on another level.
That was awesome! The time and effort was a labor of love. Whatever he paid you you earned every penny!
Awesome build and video. Your attention to minute details is way over the top. True craftsman that cares. I got a list a gazillion miles long now on mine now.
Thanks so much man..Positive feedback keeps me going
Shortly before my dad passed away, I got his 1995 bass tracker, pro 17 that I actually grew up on fishing with him hundreds of times. By the time I got it it was ruined. It’s set up for many years either in the baking sun or under oak trees. Pretty much the only thing that was good was the actual boat itself. I wish I would’ve had the patience to film myself restoring it. I put more money into the boat than it would cost to buy it brand new, but it is worth way more than that to me. That is why I have been brought to this video. I am literally working on it now. just tweaking some stuff before the summer.
I am currently doing a rebuild of a 35 year old Fisher Marine Grey Thunder 16 foot bass boat, and I am incorporating ideas from this build, as well as the Alumacraft Bandit rebuild.
You have some awesome ideas and techniques that make a rebuild look a heckuva lot nicer and mo-betta!
Awesome work my man.
In the process of remodeling my father in laws 1985 15' bass boat. I'm using your design and really appreciate your channel. Restored my 1999 joat boat last year.
Brother you got some serious skills and attention to detail is a 10of10. A magician in your craft. Looks freaking great
Incredible man. Nice clean thoughtful work. Loved how you included your customers reaction.
My friend you done an amazing job. I’m sure the customer was very pleased great job pal.💪💯
Bro you killed this build. This is probably the nicest boat rebuild on CZcams please keep these coming. Would love to know how much these cost to rebuild
You are the best I have ever seen. Great work dude and thanks for sharing!
Unbelievably impressive work. You definitely have a lot of patintience, I'm redoing my bass tracker 175 right now and your videos are very helpful and inspiring ,
Thanks so much man! Hope your project turns out the way you envisioned! Glad the videos are if service.
You just saved me a truckload of time with the 1996 17' Tracker Pro Team I just bought (first ever boat). I had to troubleshoot a leaking hull and I found a leaking rivet (just repaired w/G Flex epoxy) but found a much larger leak in the through-hull port for the live well gravity drain. I thought I was going to have to remove the foam in the storage container that sits above the gravity drain hose to the port in the starboard side of the hull, and then cut through the bottom of the aluminum of the storage area to get at the gravity drain to through hull hose -- but I glimpsed the hole underneath the seat behind the steering wheel in your video. Tonight I just removed some rivets, pulled the seat and boom -- easy access to remove the 90-degree live well drain connection and hose to replace with all new parts and fix the leak. SUBSCRIBED
That’s a fresh unit. Great work
Great price and well built. Bought it for my twelve foot boat to get around the lake. Very powerful and easy to install.
Great Job! Awesome Video!
Great build, super clean looks great!
Fantastic work!👍👏
Yo!!! Another extraordinary build bro!! Your attention to detail is unreal man. Good stuff!!
Thanks so much for the kind words man!!
Wow! Nice work. I have an 18.5 ft 1994 Pro Tracker I would like to upgrade. Last summer, I did replace the fuse panel with a similiar one you installed on this boat. I am now inspired to do a complete make over of my boat. Your video showed me that it can be done. Next winters project maybe. 🤔
Bro I love the attention to detail in your work. I’m afraid I can’t offer any suggestions or comments other than awesome work, a true credit to your craft.
Dude, i love it. Truly made my day. Thank you 👊
I am amazed!! Well done!!!!

Nice work, I found you researching converting live well to recalculation , We just got done completely replacing, upgrading our 1990 Lund 16' Rebel Mr. Pike. You are using your skills perfectly. Keep up the good work.
You are a very talented person. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to future videos.
Thanks so much!! Ive got some cool projects coming up i think you will enjoy
Parabéns, fixou muito, muito bom!
That's beautiful work.
Thank you! Cheers!
the attention to detail here is amazing brother! i am a sucker for the little things... but this guy got a deal on this boat. the pride and attention that went into this was just awesome, from the pole light clips, to the strut mounts. you couldve just tossed the lights in there or just not used struts and that wouldve been fine, but you went that extra mile. awesome build brother.
Beautiful work
AWESOME job!!!! well done. cant wait to do my build. tnx for sharing.
No problem, thanks for the positive feedback!
Great job and it looks very clean. Well done…

thanks!!
Very impressive a true craftsman.
Thank you very much
Great job bro!
Appreciate it man👊
Man that is a nice work dude very nice
I appreciate it
Dope!!!
Dang dude, that is some nice work. I just bought my first boat, a 2006 G3 1756. I’m all about Camo so it just called my name. Carpet looks awesome but I love the low maintenance without it on my boat. However, it lacks storage and I really wish the console was moved ahead a bit to utilize a bench seat or 2 seats with console like you did with cup holders. May have to do a little renovation project when I find some time.
Nice job man! I’ve looked at those tackle tray storage bins online so nice to see it installed.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah this one was a few hundred bucks i believe, again customer ordered. You'd think thats a lot but i was impressed with the quality. I guess you get what you pay for.
@@AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats yeah the price is way I never got one but looked worth the money.
The storage bins are way cool.
Fantastic video I really like your style so many great tips too thanks
Much appreciated, thanks
Nice job
Badass!
Thanks man
Nice lookin rig buddy good job

Damn fine job
Very nice work !!!!
Excellent thought process on making & using things to get them to work properly.
I work for a boat manufacturer. I can not say who other than - it is not the maker of the boat u are working on.
Very nice work -
You are truly awesome at this. I have the exact same boat and so I’m taking a lot of pointers from you to do mine. Could you do a more in depth video on how exactly you do all your wiring? Thanks man
New sub after watching this. Awesome work and incredible outcome 👍🏼
Thanks for following along!
Been awhile cuz. Glad your still doing things right 👍
WHAT'S UP CUZZZ??!!! Thanks for dropping in man, hope you are well. Same old same old here man, still doing my thang
Really wish I had this skill set, have a 91 bass tracker pro 17 I picked up a few weeks ago. It’s in great condition but I’d like to clean up some wiring and I’m horrible at electrical lol
Oh great, another thing I need.
Get it
dude! This rig is sweet! I wanna buy an old tracker and redo one like this!
Thank you
This is an awesome video. Any chance you have information for the fasteners to reattach the windscreen?
Awesome project and inspiring me to do more to mine. Do you have any info on replacing the pour foam in the aft pods?
I did a restore in this exact boat before. They’re awesome little bass boats. Only thing I would’ve done differently is add a bigger livewell and maybe move those two side hatches back. I fished a tournament out of the one we built and it was relatively small for 5 fish
Amazing! I have a Pro Team 18 that I want to do this to! I have no idea where to begin with the Electrical yet but where there is a will there is a way. Excellent Video and craftsmanship thank you.
Respect
Good job.
Thanks man
Damnation that is great!!
Thanks cuz!
