      @himanshupathak1310 Před 3 lety +4

      @@tweetyrocks7686 Yes,upto some extent, you are correct. But,I think you should check the Wikipedia of Amit Kumar. Amit Kumar was an active male playback singer from 1974 to 1994. In 1994,he declined many singing offers due to lack of quality music composition. Also one of the main reasons why he left the Hindi film industry was the death of R D Burman in 1994( he had a deep bonding with R D Burman and he considered R D Burman as his mentor).Amit Kumar sang many beautiful and melodious songs in 90s like Mujhko ye zindagi lagti hai ajnabi( from Sailaab), Teri liye saari umar jagu( from Yaad rakhegi duniya),Soone sham savere ( from Khel) and many more. But in 90s,all songs of Amit Kumar were ignored and not nominated at the filmfare awards.There were many music directors in 90s who rehearsed the songs with Amit Kumar and then finally recorded the songs in any other singer's voice (due to the pressure from the music companies) .In the movie 'Imtihaan ',there were two versions of the song 'Is tarah aashiqi ka asar chod jayunga ',one sung by Amit Kumar and the other sung by Kumar Sanu for Sunny Deol and Saif Ali Khan respectively. But,Amit Kumar 's version was taken off the film. In the film '1942 A Love Story ',R D Burman wanted to take Amit Kumar for the song 'Ruth na jaana',but due to the pressure from the producer of the film, he had to take Kumar Sanu for the song. The original Bengali version of the song was sung by Amit Kumar. You can check the song 'Mon theke mone 'on CZcams. In 90s,there were many songs of Amit Kumar which were removed from the films.So ,it was all politics against Amit Kumar, which forced him to leave the film industry. But, in the late 90s , music directors like Viju Shah and Jatin Lalit brought him back , and Amit Kumar sang notable songs in the films like Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Vinashak,Silsila Hai Pyar Ka, Dillagi,Raju Chaccha,Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham,etc.

      @@himanshupathak1310 Amit Kumar never gave up! Amit Kumar behaved like a KING... As father as son! I respect Amit Kumar for all the choices he made. Only feel sad, that; due to all this politics, the audience completely missed to feel the magic of Amit Kumar... Just imagine, all those super hit songs of 90s were sung by Amit Kumar... It would have been a different feel altogether... Just imagine... Chura Ke Dil Mera... Instead of Kumar Sanu, Amit Kumar would have sounded terrific!! There are so many modulations in the song that Amit Kumar would have sung it superblyy!! (and as I know, he did sing that song.. Later he realized it was re-recorded by Sanu)... Anyways, such is industry... Completely lost on music front!

    • @himanshupathak1310
      @himanshupathak1310 Před 3 lety +2

      @@omkardandekar You are absolutely correct, sir. Amit Da is a living legend. He is my favourite singer, after Kishore Da and Rafi sahab. Amit Da's versatility is incomparable. With due respect to Kishore Da and Rafi sahab, Amit Da is the most versatile singer I had ever seen. Btw, you said that Amit Da sang the song 'Chura ke dil mera'. Really!! I didn't know that. I too wished that this song should have been sung by Amit Da. Do you know Amit Da was the first personal choice of Pancham Da for the song 'Kuch na kaho' from 1942: A Love Story? The rehearsals of the song were also done with Amit Da and even some parts of the song were also recorded in the voice of Amit Da, but then again Vidhu Vinod Chopra interrupted and forced Pancham Da to give away this song to Sanu. Talking about Sanu, it's a well known fact that Sanu was a nasal singer and a big imitator and clone of Kishore Da, just like Vinod Rathod. If you listen his cover versions of Kishore Da's songs, Sanu is completely nasal with no expressions and feelings. Just few days ago, I was listening Sanu's cover version of Kishore Da's superhit song 'Dil mera kisi ne aisa toda' and Sanu sang so badly with his overtly nasal tone, especially when he sang that line 'barbaadi ki taraf aisa moda', his nasal tone became so unbearable to listen, such a bad rendition of Kishore Da's immortal song, from Sanu. If you have ever attended any of the live show or concert of Kumar Sanu, you will know that he totally fails when it comes to live singing on stage. Few years ago, I attended a live joint concert of Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Kumar Sanu, both were live singing the evergreen song of Kishore Da 'Zindagi ka safar', Abhijeet sang good with feelings, but Sanu wasn't been able to sing even a single line of the song, even Abhijeet sounded better than Sanu, and Sanu totally failed on the stage, as usual singing in his overtly nasal tone. Frankly speaking, Sanu was just a T-Series enhanced singer, promoted and popularized by T-Series in 90's. Sanu just had an essence of Kishore Da in him, nothing else, with negligible versatility and no voice modulation, together with weak voice control. Out of the endless moods and versatility of Kishore Da, Sanu excelled in just one genre ,i.e., "soft romantic genre". Almost more than 95% of his hit songs, belong to 'soft romantic genre'. On the other hand, Amit Da excelled in all genres of singing, whether it's romantic or emotional or disco or ghazal or devotional,etc., he could sing any kind of song with perfection. Give him any type of song and will not disappoint you. Amit Da has pure crystal clear, highly masculine, powerful, sweet and versatile voice, together with tremendous versatility, powerful voice modulation and strong voice control. Just see his fantastic voice modulation and brilliant voice control, together with sweet voice quality, in the songs like 'Aa baahon mein aa dekhu tujhe main pyar se', 'Tip tip tip baarish shuru ho gayi' , 'Kaisa lagta hai' and 'Sanam mere sanam kasam teri kasam'. Just listen his pitch in the songs 'Pyar tum mujhse karti ho don't say no' and 'Kehdo ki tum ho meri warna'. See his expressions and gimmicks in the songs 'Jab se hui hai shaadi' and 'Filmo ke saare hero mere aage hain zero'. Listen the song 'Jao tum chahe jahan', his voice is so powerful and punching. From 'Bade acche lagte hain' to 'Ye zameen ga rahi hai', from 'Dekho maine dekha hai ek sapna' to 'Kaisa lagta hai', from 'Dushman na kare' to 'Kajal kajal', from 'Roz roz aankhon tale' to 'Tip tip baarish shuru ho gayi', from 'Laila o laila' to 'Ek do teen', from 'Tirchi topiwale' to 'Tap tap tapori', from 'I am a street dancer' to 'It's a challenge', from 'Kehdo ki tum' to 'Jao tum chahe jahan', from 'Yaad aa rahi hai' to 'Tere liye saari umar jaagu', from 'Dard ka doosra naam hai zindagi' to 'Mujhko ye zindagi lagti hai ajnabi' and the list is unending. What a versatility!

    Hi Dada. Just one small request. Please don't allow anyone to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar. Coz first, no one can play 1% of what he was. And new generation will judge what Kishore Kumar was on basis of that actor's performance. Which would be a disgrace, and Kishore Kumar's true personality should remain a mystery for everyone. Let people do their own research, let them make documentaries, but please, no biopics!

    Those who say Amit Kumar never got his due, what happened to him was no different to what happened to the late great Mohammed Aziz, Shabbir Kumar, Sudesh Bhonsle, Jolly Mukherjee etc, they were in their elements in the 80's and for a short while in the early 90's.... but with the release of Aashiqui in 1990 was the game-changer for these singers, as soon enough their stock dwindled and it marked the era of Kumar Sanu and Udit...both who ended up still singing right up until 2006/07....well beyond a decade.....just a shame that with the state of Bollywood music today none of these talents are ever likely to be popular again...

      Well,upto some extent, you are right. 90's was the era of Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan. But,Amit Kumar is different from the singers you mentioned. Mohammed Aziz,Shabbir Kumar, Sudesh Bhosle, Jolly Mukherjee, etc are the popular singers of 80's .They came in 80's and disappeared in early 90's .Amit Kumar 's career started in 70's . During 70's ,Amit Kumar sang many superhit and evergreen songs like Bade acche lagte hain( from Balika Vadhu), Na bole tum na maine kuch kaha and Uthe sab ke kadam ( from Baton Baton Mein),Aati rahengi bahaarein( from Kasame Vaade) and many more. During 70's , the songs which he sang with the legendary singers like Mohammed Rafi ( in the films like Aandhi,Aap ke Deewane, Ganga ki Saugandh, Neeyat,Bulandi,etc),Kishore Kumar( in the films like Des Pardes, Golmaal, Desh Premee,Deewangi ,etc) ,Manna Dey ,K J Yesudas, Mahendra Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle became popular. During 80's ,he sang many blockbuster songs in the films like Qurbani,Love Story, Teri Kasam,Lovers,Romance, Aamne Samne,Jawaani, Yudh ,Ilzaam,Akhir Kyon,Hadsaa,Jeeva,Woh Phir Aayegi, Tezaab, Chaalbaaz,Tridev, Ghar ka Chirag ,Thanedaar ,etc. Amit Kumar was the second most preffered male playback singer in Hindi films after his father Kishore Kumar. He even secured a filmfare award for best male playback singer for the song 'Teri yaad aa rahi ', by defeating his father Kishore Kumar. Amit Kumar sang the title songs of the famous TV serials like Chunauti,Neev and Campus. The theme songs of the famous cartoons like Ducktales and Bob the builder were sung by him. He had sung 170 hindi songs for R D Burman and many superhit Bengali songs.He had sung the Bengali versions of the popular songs like Kya yahi pyar hai ,Bacchana ae hasino, etc.His songs were famous, irrespective of the film being hit or critically acclaimed. During 90's ,he sang many notable songs in the films like Hum,Mahasangram, Baaghi,Sailaab,Swarg ,Afsana Pyar ka, Pyar Ka Karz,Police Public, Kishan Kanahaiya, Adharm,Nischaiy, Vishwatma, Jaanam, 100 Days,Parampara,Indrajeet,Shola air Shabnam ,Imtihaan, Khel ,Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na,Sangdil Sanam,Aaj ka Gundaraj,Sapoot,Narsimha,Yaad Rakhegi Duniya,Judaai and many more. In 1994,he declined many singing offers due to lack of quality music composition. His songs were ignored and not nominated at the filmfare awards.He left the Hindi film industry in 1994( one of the main reasons was the death of R D Burman, with whom he shared a deep bonding and was his mentor) .But ,in late 90's,music directors like Viju Shah and Jatin Lalit brought him back and Amit Kumar sang many notable songs in the films like Silsila hai Pyar ka, Dillagi, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Vinashak,Salma pe dil aa gaya,Angaaray,Safari,Raju Chaccha .Even after 90's ,he sang many hit songs in the films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Jhankaar Beats,Fight Club,Apna Sapna Money Money,Dhammal,Mumbai Salsa,Dulha Mil Gaya and Himmatwala. Overall, Amit Kumar had sung numerous superhit songs in 70's,80's and 90's. Amit Kumar had the overall success rate of more than 3 decades, sung for almost all the actors and worked with almost all the music directors of 70's,80's and 90's . Amit Kumar had been singing for more than 50 years .Let me tell you that Amit Kumar is the first singer across the globe who was honoured at the British Parliament. Still,Amit Kumar is signing, composing and performing ,while the singers who started with him are finished and no where. He is still in demand in live shows. So, Amit Kumar deserves more respect and recognition than any other singer of 80's and 90's decade .

      Yes... It's true that Amit Kumar has a thick and heavy voice...but he doesn't have enough resonance... When Kumar Sanu shot to fame with Aashiqui, music composers were quick to drop Amit Kumar bcz Sanu's voice was fresh and resonant...It was fluid and could express tender emotions ... So slowly but surely, Amit Kumar was relegated into the background...
