@@owenlopez1787 do you plan on upgrading the cpu in the future? Honestly the $200 build came out clean and the only things I would change is to get the RX 580 from Ali express and see if there’s a ddr4 version of the Xeon.
These budget builds are for people who want a pc rn and later on like let’s say 2-3 years from now buy a whole new PC. Unless you want to upgrade over time then I highly recommend saving an extra $200 to buy a Ryzen cpu and mobo. Those $200 extra will make it a $400 build and now you have the feature to upgrade your cpu to a better one in the future.

@@owenlopez1787 they are pretty much the same but the $275 build has the 2670V3 which has 2 extra cores compared to the 2670 v2 and the $275 build is on a DDR4 motherboard. So the 2670V3 is slightly better.

A few things I want to mention.
The extra bit required by the CPU cooler is not always necessary. It depends on the socket and the motherboard. Some of them come pre installed with the motherboard, so make sure you need/don't need one.
That thermal paste application was too small. Also, after you failed to attach the cooler, you should clean and re apply new paste. That's a good practice.
When preparing the case for the motherboard, make sure you don't have anything extra in places that is not needed. You risk short-circuiting.
I build IBM/PCs since the early 90s, I still suck at cable management so I won't rate you on that. :p

Amazing build! I just bought xeon e3 1240 v3 because my i5-4670k was DYING when playing fortnite, assetto corsa or another games. Now im collecting money for a solid GPU because i have gtx660, and when u showed what a aliexpress rx 580 can do, I was veeery surprised! Im now saving for a GPU which u gave link in the description, I cant wait to buy this and play finally in good FPS!!

Wow as soon as I uploaded the video the rgb fans arrived🤣 I guess I’ll save them for a future build. But yes sometimes these parts could take a month which sucks but for the price ehhh kinda balance’s it out.

(My opinion):
You should get 2 16 gb ddr3 stick instead of 1.it's really cheap and will increase your performance considerably.
A 600w psu is a little bit overkill for this build tho.
Too little thermal paste. You should get another server fan for your cpu cooler cause 2 is alway better than 1 (believe me, i use 2 fan for my xeon cpu cooler and its temp never go above 45.maybe im just obsess with temp)
Anyway, good budget pc overall and great video!! Hope to see more video about budget build, this kind of video would help a lot of people who dont have much money!!

i bought a X99H to pair with my 2670 V3 with a 3060ti its a good match? ill mostly use for fortnite and gta v online and since the gtav online uses a lot of cpu maybe itll do good :D but im mostly worried about the vrms temps...
Sorry for the late reply. I don't get notifications for every comment anymore, But if you already have the 2670 V3 and the 3060ti it will be perfectly fine (better fps than what I used in this video, it will bottleneck but it will run games perfectly fine). Make sure you put fans on top of the case for exhaust. This will help with the vrams. Also, make sure the fan in the back is set to exhaust.

Thanks for the video. I wish you put four ram sticks since Xeon 2667 v2 and similar cpus thrive with quad memory channel. Running this build only on one stick will ruin your performance

Hi, I'm planning on building a server mainly for minecraft. Will an e5 2600v2 be good for such a server? and does it matter if I use ddr3 or ddr4? And does ssd make a big difference? Oh and another question, is a Supermicro X9DRD-iF good for that too? I need a really powerfull server because I'm gonna heavily mod the game.
You should not use v2 CPU's because they lack some features like AVX2 that games will all depend on in the soon coming years. Instead use an X99 motherboard with support with v3/v4 CPU's. I would recommend an E5-2680 V4 which supports all latest feature sets and uses DDR4 ram. If you already have the Supermicro X9DRD-iF then I'd recommend the E5-2697 V2 as it is very cable. Also go with PC14900R ECC Reg Modules as they're fastest you can use in your system and make sure to use an SSD.

I realize this is a "budget" system but even with the cheap Ali Express e-waste parts not withstanding, you're leaving some significant system performance on the table by only using one stick of DDR RAM and limiting the CPU to single channel memory. Get an additional 8GB stick and you will see a marked improvement in performance running in dual channel.

Yea the PC is still functional. I added 2 extra exhaust fans at the top of the case, so that it can help with the vram temps.

@@pi5943 The RX 590 is better but make sure it has more than 500 Reviews and that people have posted pictures of the card. Typically 1K reviews, at least 4.0 Stars out of 5.0, lots of people giving feedback with pictures is recommended when buying from ali express.

How u get good graphic my friend use 1660 super but in apex low setting only can get about 120 fps
Make sure his window updates are up to date and his gpu drivers are installed and up to date
Disable Background apps
Enable XMP/DOCP in the bios, this will help with fps. (some mobos dont have this option)
Overclocking is always an option

Is the e5 2650 v4 processor good?
I think they downgraded the graphics a bit on the new season Warzone that’s why you got higher fps than MW2 Warzone. I manage to get 45+ fps on my i7-2600 with RX580 😅😅

Based of a couple gameplay I’ve seen I think you would get like 60 fps on low settings. Changing resolution to 720P will give you more consistent 60fps.
Did you change the processor?
No its the same one for this $200 build. I just took it out to show how to put in the cpu into the mobo. My most recent $250 pc build is entirely different but similar to this one.

I bought this bundle on Ali express for around $36 with tax and shipping during Black Friday. So my main goal was to make a budget pc for around $200. The V4 Xeons are better but cost more. (Not to much more just like a few $30-50 more)

I tried the 2670 v3 and honestly not a huge performance increase barely noticed it. But yes the 2670 V3 is better since its on a X99 mobo I believe and most of those support DDR4 Ram

@@REANIMATIONJ it’s exactly the same as this one. Cpu has the same shape as this cpu. If you buy a cpu and mobo combo from ali express the cpu will be installed already into the motherboard so that pretty much saves you the stress of putting in the cpu.

Around 240FPS and like 300FPS if u put the 3D res to 50% (creative free builds)

Its running on a 600 Watt PSU, but will work fine with 500 watts. (The 600 watt psu was on sale so I had to pick that one up)

Yea around October 2025 is when Microsoft will end support for Windows 10. I think you can still upgrade to Windows 11 but you wont have the full features, performance will feel slower and not have propper security updates. For someone who wants a really budget PC rn such as a 15 year old I think xeon builds are good for them, and later in abut 2 years they would have saved up or started working and have enough money to buy a new mobo,CPU, and ram combo and be on the latest OS. But thanks for the comment💯💯, I should have mentioned this as a heads-up.
You can remove the tpm requirement from W11 easy enough. Runs fine on my 2670 V3.

For this vid it was an rx 570 which is like the exact same same thing as the rx 580 8gb 2048sp.

I actually when was the motherboard and the and the GPU but it's not from your video but it still works nice and I'm not using Windows I'm using steam os to be more specific is not the same like in the steam deck because the thing that I'm using is chimera os but it's the same thing as a steam deck and all my games are good they weren't very well

@@SandwichTech_ chimera os it's a Linux distribution which it doesn't have all of the compatibility of games but with some amount of games it does and it's a good amount and they're still working to get everyone just came to work on it but we do need a Windows alternative because the specifications of the harbor at least going to get more demanding and this kind of hardware it's always going to be seen obsolete bye Microsoft antidote Linux distribution it works fast when you need on the web but it doesn't have the compatibility of all the windows programs that's the only bad thing but for the most part it's free and open source and it's private and another thing that I forgot is that it only works on AMD graphics cards

Yea, it's legit. I wouldn't recommend buying cases, power supplies, or ssd's. Low-end graphics cards are fine to purchase for example the RX580 8GB SP version costs like $60 on Ali Express.

What case you got?
Here's my advice: don't build this system.
I'll be brief. It's a good video but the components are old. FPS is OK but every modern title stutters heavily. Enjoyment of, again, modern games would be subpar. Don't consider buying those old-gen hardware: save up for something good.
Source: just upgraded from i5-3550 + RX 560 + 1333MHz DDR3 RAM. That configuration is a bit slower than the one in the video, but it's the same gen. I drained every last drop of performance - it just isn't worth doing in 2024. Buy an AM4-based CPU with decent GPU instead.
