- Compilation of CITV junctions (as well as one CBBC recording) from various dates in 1995.
Announcers (in order of appearance) are:
Steve Ryde (CITV)
Simeon Courtie (CBBC)
Bob Preedy (Yorkshire TV)
Can anyone identify the other CITV announcer, i.e the one that isn't Steve Ryde?
In fact, every CITV junction after 6:00 has the voice of someone other than Steve Ryde, apart from pre-recorded trailers.
6:00 - that's not Steve Ryde, the voice is too different.
Occasionally, other announcers used to fill in for a few weeks for Steve Ryde whenever he was either ill or on his annual holiday.
Yeah, still can't quite get my head around who is standing in for him in this video, certainly doesn't sound like any other Central voiceover.
Errrrm... Gordon Flycamp was a *character* played by Steve Ryde! Mr Ryde was an actor as well as an announcer (and subsequently became a television producer and director, working on the post-1998 CITV presentation and then Dick and Dom for the BBC).
