- Notice how in the example clip the guy misses almost all shots on me while I'm doing the ras strafe, compared to when I am on the ground strafing normally.
Recap:
(This is for right to left)
Forward pattern - D + scroll down + scroll up + W + A + S
Backwards pattern - D + scroll down + scroll up + S + A
Note: I have scroll down binded to jump and scroll up bounded to W
Using the bullet holes on the ground to show at what time in the jump to perform the inputs.. is brilliant. Thanks for this!

the ras strafe in a gibby pub shits on people in low elo ranked, it’s so useful and prob the most useful movement tech for big boys
how is this different to doing the exact same keybinds (forward method) but getting rid of the tap strafe aspect? feels the same first person and third person i tried

You miss 1 input, this sould be :
Forward pattern - D + scroll down + scroll up + W + A + S + D
Backwards pattern - D + scroll down + scroll up + S + A + D
Always finish the pattern with the same first latteral input (A or D)

you need to do without tap strafing to be the Ras strafe, that's why he does that while insane track someone with the eva8 or r-99

After I learned this tech around a month ago, my shortgun game improve aaaaaa lottttt.
However, I never added tap strafe since I scroll with my index finger.
Is there any difference of adding tap strafe? I know it kinda push forward and backward but how about the side way?

I think with tap strafe the turn is quicker as u dont loose any momentum and makes you basically unhittable
Tap strafing makes the turn sharper, and if you haven't started to then you should try it out, I believe it will make you harder to hit

just do it without scrolling. its better and makes you able to ads and shoot too.
A > Jump > D S hold W. and you can put a slide in the end of it too.
For the tap strafe part don’t people scroll wheel up while holding D or A? I thought that’s how it was done - I guess there’s multiple ways of doing it I was just curious since I just learned this tech a few days before this was posted
you can hold d or a. as it helps in launching yourself to the direction
@@Anxyte thanks man - I see people using this in fights and always wonder how they did the momentum shift in mid-air to one side so fast and I figured it was the tap strafing part to either side
he jumps with scrollwheel is what he is saying to initiate it...
from what I've seen most players only use spacebar for super gliding since it cant be done with scrollwheel but they use scrollwheel for jump in everything else.
You to hold s right after starting the scroll. Idk exactly why but it like cancels the forward input and strafes you sideways.
dont scroll, its not needed and makes it so you cant ads and shoot while doing a simple thing like ras strafing. just A > Jump > D S hold W then slide after (optional)
Is there a benefit of tap strafing this, the way I learnt it was for example: A > Jump > W D S, but I never used tap strafing
Same question here, I always tried doing it without tap strafing, I wonder if the movement becomes more drastic while using scroll wheel.

genuinely no different are advantage, its the same movement and this is the correct way to do it as it allow you to ADS and shoot while ras strafing.

Finally , i wanna decide , octane or wraith? i play better and more confident with wraith but playing octane is much more fun , which one should i main?
wraith is more solid overall in my opinion, and it is better in terms of team contribution in ranked. I prefer octane because it really suits my playstyle more

im a wraith main and personally i think u should main wraith cause u said u play confidently with her which will improve ur gameplay, and her heirloom is very cool imo. plus u could very well just switch between playing octane and wraith frequently :P

bind wasd to you analog stick
idk what it called, but I do like an extrem version of it, I go sideways, then tapstrafe with sideways input above the enemie or infront doesnt matter so that you are from one side of their monitorto the other side, when you then hit all shots midair, you already one that fight
for me its w+jump then asd/ w+jump dsa without tap strafe so it just basic momentum shift and you can aim better if you have hard time doing this while tapstrafe
how do you ras straf while aiming and shooting? isnt that using 3 fingers on mouse
You could either scroll quickly and then shoot, or do it at the same time which is only 2 fingers
From what i see ras always use hipfire while doing this strafe

i think binding wheel up to right and wheel down to left will make this easier... I've been using this bind for quite a while now and it does this similar strafe at least on my end... if ur interested to try my bind, u can just paste this to settings.cfg
bind_US_standard "mwheelup" "+jump; +moveright; +forward;"
bind_US_standard "mwheeldown" "+jump; +moveleft; +forward;"
this wont affect the wallbounce and bunny hoptech

@@randomboiyo6254 and u act like that u ONLY need to spam the mouse wheel up and down to perform this strafe with this bind, this isnt the neo strafe bind that other players exploit since u also need to use the WASD keys to perform this similar strafe

saying "scroll up" and "scroll down" mean nothing if we don't know what's bound to them. My scroll up is switch weapon....My scroll down is switch weapon....

don't worry aim assist can track this, it's not as extreme as tap strafe
You have nothing to worry about. Aim assist works wonders at close range. People only ras strafe up close for the most part so you'll beam them easy.
since when is this called RAS strafing thats just asian style strafe that is mostly used for bubble fights isnt it ?
