The reason why there's SSG male and female is because the transformation actually changes the character's moveset(combos) to a replica of the original but with the timing mechanic
This implies they could do a custom mentor combos as a "transformation"

@@gbdornls Considering how many instances of Super Saiyan there are for different characters, PQs and shit (not to mention multiple variations of supers and ultimates that are different for roster characters and custom mentors), they definitely could have had the two just share a name but didn't for some godforsaken reason???
@@gbdornls You mean give two different skills the same name, so that we keep SSG Male and SSG female as different skills, but change both of their names to SSG? Yeah that can be done.
The devs have already done it for other skills actually. We as players just don't see the difference, but there are skills that have the same name but are different. E.g Gogeta Blue's Super Kamehameha. His SK is different from the skill CaCs have. I guess they just wanted to make sure players knew why there are 2 SSG skills.
For super Saiyan, god male and female, the timing to actually get the highest increase in your basic is different because you have to perfectly time your button inputs

Absolutely love Steed just ruthlessly turning this dude's transformations of every time he went for them. Just amazing.
I think they signified "Male" and "Female" for SSG because Male and Female Saiyans have different combos and sense SSG gives a bonus on I think the second attack after you hit Heavy, they may have had to do something different for each.
That has got to be the most humiliating series of losses I've ever seen. Like, imagine using all those capsules and just relentlessly trying to spam cheese, and STILL getting clapped this hard on repeat? xD

If I remember correctly, the reason why there are two versions for Super Saiyan God depending on gender is because of the combos, not any other effect. I don’t remember exactly how SSG effects saiyan combos, but I do remember that they had two make two versions because of the two sexes having different basic combos.
The transformations actually modify your moveset. If you give a female saiyan ssjg (male) through mods they will actually get the male saiyan moveset.

The idea is for letting ki just erupt which is why it's mostly lssj but also a mixture of a lot of power (where the god skills come in) or just having more power than you know what to do with

Like others are saying, the two super saiyan gods is because the transformation changes the comboset of the character to versions with the god timing. If you were to put the SYM SSG onto, say, a frieza race character, the form would try and make them use the SYM comboset as well.
Steed after you do the heavy light heavy combo in ssg you don't need to do the knock away kick to continue the combo, you can dash out of all perfect input moves
I remember once hearing the reason why ssg is separated has something to do with the combos mechanic and that some mods do that and that it was considered umprofecional

The definition of “STAY DOWN”
also, the (Male) and (Female) thing of super saiyan god is due to the fact that the awoken changes the character's combo strings, because of the God-Time mechanic. because it's two different combo strings, they had to make two awokens. the reason why they putted the name specifics? maybe for modders (pc modders that is) to not screw a specific awoken on someone they shouldn't...?
Nah they have no reason to leave that on, it has literally no use for the playerbase its not like you can acess a different gender transformation anyway, it just looks like some dev forgot to remove that before launch and they left it in

That’s why you mix it up back-and-forth so people have a harder time reading you because if you keep doing the same thing over and over again or use the same moves in the same pattern over and over again it makes people very predictable, and pro players can exploit that I’m not really a pro player myself but I have played online and most people I played on there are good

From what I hear, SSG female is the same as SSG male but it also has a speed buff. Maybe they did this because female saiyans have not as good normals damage.

Or, if they have a decent amount of Ki when launching it at aura burst dashable range, and you have three stamina with Spirit Explosion. Aura burst dash > back version. That's almost a free break. Or y'know run Shadow Crusher.
