Once again Andy shows that it is possible to build a great model without spending 27 hours making minute modifications to the kit for the sake of 'accuracy'.
Good job sir.
Happy andy's building video.
thank you
This kit is one of my most favorite kits I think. Its cheap, its got great detail and its easy to build. What else would someone want! :D
Outstanding video and presentation.
Great bild Andy
thank you
When you started chipping with the dark yellow, I thought "I'm not sure if I like the look of that", but then when you added the dark brown, I was blown away. That effect looks fantastic
Another great build and so much more to this model than just a German respray of a captured tank.
thank you
Hey and what's nice is the added bonus of left over (intentionally) parts. Looking forward to doing a total scratch build.
A note about the scratches... Because this was a captured vehicle, you need to have some Russian green in there! I think it would be most appropriate to do a three-stage chip with the green in between the yellow and the brown.
yeah your right didn't even think about the green base , thanks for watching
Hey man also that would be beneficial. Think about it, it adds more camouflage which would be very useful in a Ukrainian Summer, especially the wheat fields.
Bodo Robert Matern none at all? I mean, why remove the original color when they just painted over it?
@@Peter-ri9ie During Barbarossa & then Fall Blau, the Germans captured a number of tank manufacturing locations in Ukraine & other parts of the USSR, and they kept those factories running to supplement the tanks manufactured in Germany, Austria & Czechoslovakia. Since some of these modified T-34/76 tanks were manufactured in Ukranian factories after the factories had been captured by the Germans, not all would have been painted 4BO Green. If anything, they would have had a red oxide primer coat underneath, or the dunkelgelb would have been painted over the original Dunkelgrau if they had been manufactured by the Germans prior to mid-1942.
@@derekbaker3279 thanks, mate! Every now and then I play ww2 tabletop with some friends. It’s always a nice to bring a surprise to the table, and this most def will be one. Do you know anything a bout the total number of t-34s being used by the Germans and which units? And if some or most were painted in German camouflage?
I'm gearing up to build a 1/16 scale version of the box art on this kit and I've discovered the Academy model has some serious accuracy issues when compared to actual photographs of the tank. I am far from a rivet counter, but there is a widespread problem with kit manufacturers using poor museum restorations or outright fantasy as a basis for an "accurate" model. The same goes for all of those lovely color profiles you see in books and online. Anyway, your videos inspired me to get back into this hobby after nearly 15 years and I'll have to bring my finished model by the shop when she's done.
Nice build
Well there is a thing called I was in the middle of it and I was complimenting him. I was on the build part so my compliment is valid
Thanks Andy. Maybe the best yet. Just ordered the kit.(checked your shop first. )You deserve a commission!
hats off to academy once again. great value for money

Andy great paint & chippy job on the Academy captured T34/76.
Another brilliant build Andy. The chipping method is very effective. I'll be using that in the future for sure so thanks for the tip. Chris
thank you
Hi Andy,
Another great build, I do look forward to all your videos, many thanks for the inspiration.
Les
I saw this video when it first came out. It came back again in on one of the You Tubes suggestions. It took me back to last year when I was trying to find an American 1/35 scale M3 half track. I looked at just about every hobby store within 60 miles of me. I also looked on line. They were all way over priced for me and some were being sold half built. (Some of the ones I found on line.) I thought about it for a while and decided to capture a German Half Track and made it American. I have seen many pictures of captured German equipment used by the Allies. One picture I found in my World War 2 Encyclopedia collection. I had some fun with it and put a lot of American equipment on it. Including a .30 and .50 caliber machine gun added to it. I painted on some over sized stars and there it is. A half track I can call my own. The Tamyia kit I found was on sale for just under 20 bucks.
Very happy to see you do a Pz.747(r) but was kinda disappointed the kit didnt have the Schurzen. Nice that it had the turret box. Also If I recall Correctly the captured vehicles used a very large oversized balkenkruez, the cross on vehicle looks normal sized.
Best brand of kit for a first timer? You’ve really made me want to spend my money on these!!
Looks great again Andy, very nice kit.
Thank you
same as below Andy, great stuff as always, thax for all the great vids and love the classical type music, fantastic!!
Probably my next build, finished up my Stug III. Overall I'm satisfied with the build. Camo paint even painted the figures, my first time painting them. You have been a great help for me getting back into the hobby. Thanks!@

I like that the front and rear fenders are separate.

yes it kind of did
Nicely done, I was having some doubts as you progressed, but as usual the end result is excellent. By the way i also enjoyed The music ( Nutcracker?)
Just to let you know, the drums weren't for fuel, it was a weapon, unfortunately I didn't hear all about it though. Love all your videos
Nice Job! I've really got to adapt your chipping technique. Looks great!

Excellent work on that kit. Seems like it went together with no fit problems. Very impressive results. Really like the simple camo pattern they used this captured tank.
Great stuff Andy! Keep the content coming mate!
thank you for watching
Thanks for video, nice kit, nice build, nice paint)
Another great build, Andy. Keep em coming.
Hey Andy any chance your next build could be the Meng A7V Sturmpanzerwagen? I'm considering buying one and think I'll need some pointers. Plus it would go well with the whippet that you built. Keep up the great work!
The Cupola on that model rightly is the German one put in there to help the German commanders. Look closely it is the same as Pz III!
nice build and the paint looks good too. i have to spend many time more of training to get this high build quality.
thank you for watching
Have you checked out the takom king tiger? It's got a complete interior in three versions with to-scale armour thickness. So sweet!
Great in depth video. Love it
Thank you Jan
Love these tutorials!
thank you
Great vid and nice kit from Academy
Good job! I like your videos!!!
thank you
Beautifull!!!!!!!
very cool video again Andy mate
thank you for watching
Good job!
thank you
good looking finished model! i build the T34/85 berlin kit from academy and it builds up very similar. i see you made the same mistake i have made, the hull MG port is to deep inside. i did this as well and it took me quite some time to fix it.
keep making these great videos mate! they are very educational!
thank you for watching
Great kit and build Andy, i did the dragon T34-76 and it was the worse kit iv ever put together, fit was terrible and i couldnt even get the turret basket close to fitting.
5:30
Holy Cats Andy. Is that the biggest file you could find??? I have a belt sander I can lend you if that didn't do the job...Just kidding.
Amazing job as always. Look forward to each and every production you make.
Good Job Andy. Those tracks didn't look great though. Camo looks fantastic
Hi Andi! Awesome job both in building and in painting! Could you build, if it's possible, the Moblepanzer IV Flakpanzer by Tamiya? Thank You!
Awesome work! :)
Thank you Toni
NIce
hi guy,s when are you going to finish the train diorama looking forward to seeing it
Another great job Andy! Looks like a great kit. Like that fact they enable you to build so many different variants. Thank you again. BTW what type of air brush do you use and do you sell them.
I use a Iwata hpc, sorry I don't stock them but can order them
Is that little box on the back of the turret a turret basket? I thought a turret basket was a special piece of floor attached to the turret so that the floor spins with turret rotation (so your legs dont get mangled by machinery spinning around when you arent ready for it) and that t-34s didnt have one? You see boxes like that tagged on the back of tanks by the british for putting radios in.
I guess its more a turret box or bin on back basket would be open , Im not sure , I have a friend who was a tanker I will ask him , thanks for watching
Very nice video and will you do some british or russian armor(with russian markings) i really love british and russian tanks like t-34 or cromwell churchill things like that, my first 1:35 scale model was a churchill mk.VII from tamiya and it was great and easy to build and i would love seeing you build it
thank you
when are you completing the train diorama? can't wait to see it
Will build you a French tank model ? (french fan, sorry for my english ^^)
Nice build ! Thank you :) !
thank you I will
You could do Tamiya's B1 Bis in German colours :)
+Wolfhead101 Just got that model, he should do it!
Everything looks better in German three tone camo. Even a T34.
yes it does
I think the Germans used a lot of the captured T34 in Italy. I think the third SS division was the only SS armoured division to use captured T34's.
What pressure do you have your airbrush at? mine always seems to bombard it with paint, and I probably have the touch of a baby elephant
HI Tony, Im a bit late to commenting, but I am interested in this kit as a beginner to keep in a stash before I get my skill level up to Level 4. I have to ask why you're not using a paint booth? Is it necessary or not for certain spray painting jobs?
Please build a IS-2 tank sometime soon
I had serious fit be issues with drive wheels. Had to remove top half for turret to seat. This was a Trumpeter kit
hello Andy!! sorry, is possible that you can build the Italeri Diorama about de Battle of Berlín? sorry about my english, Im from chile!!! very nice job!!!!!!
do you gloss coat then decal with set and sol then dull coat? btw the guys at my local hobby shop said not to spray tamiya flat over the decal?
That's the same as icms early version of the T34 I'm in middle of doing it's got all the road and steel wheels using 3 steel and 2 road on my T34 and the rest going on the trailer of the scammel, but not sure what to hook up to the yoke yet the me lee or the captured t34 for a diarama
