The Pz IV H first appeared in June 43 before the adoption of Zimmerit so early examples don't have it. Thanks for the great video 😊
I love how excited he is about the decal zimmerit.
Thanks Andy, for the tip on applying decal zimmerit on the panzerVI H, Academy kit.
A very good Academy kit, the planning that went in2 this Panzer IV H great. Great paint job. Thanks 4 all hints in over coming minor hic ups in the assembly of the kits.
If these are filmed in one day, that is simply amazing! The amount of quality you put into your models is superb. I love your channel
I’m so excited for this kit to come out! Keep the good work, Andy!
Thank you Andy for pointing out the best way to apply the zimmerit decals will save a lot of trouble always enjoy your posts
Really cool Andy! I'm thankful that as you shared in a recent video, different manufacturers like Academy (in this case) and Tamiya with their new Korean War M4A3E8 are seeing the value in sharing early samples of new kits with you. It really helps me as a modeler make more informed decisions of which kits I will be willing to spend my limited budget for new Armor kits on. Keep up the great work Andy!
Awesome video! I'm looking forward to building this after it's out.
아카데미 키트 리뷰해줘서 고마워요!
Thank you for reviewing academy kits!
Wonderful work Andy, you are a master! Shep Paine would be proud.
With all those extra pieces that the model has, I would be keeping those off to the side for possible "After Market" accessories. That gave me some very good ideas for some future projects. I save just about every extra piece from many of the models I have built in the past and have used them on other models. This particular model is a gold mine of parts to use.
Awesome as always. Love coming in to your store when I'm in town.
Thanks again Andy. Sounds like a good end of model season build for me. Too busy spring, summer and fall. Glad Z made easier. I was using Squadron putty and a saw blade back in the 80s. Took alot of practice.
Outstanding Andy.
Always enjoy watching your videos Andy
Thank you Andy I was on the fence between Academy and Dragon after seeing your review Academy it is thanks lot of insight into the kit yours Bruce
Wow Andy, this really turned out amazing! No suprise, as all your models are outstanding! Keep the great models coming
Another great build, Andy. I love your builders tips.
I really like the look of those zimmerit decals, I hope Academy will be selling them on their own so you can buy them and put on any Pz IV kit of your choise. I recently got the Zvezda Pz IV Ausf. H kit and it has zimmerit moulded directly on the parts, but not on all the parts it needs.
A great work as always Andy
Beautiful panzer it looks like right off the Kursk battlefield awesome work there sir
Great build Andy
FishTank WoT yes please
Great build the tank turned out much better than I thought it would. I will buy that kit.
Fantastic as usual! Well done Sir.
I’m really looking forward to trying this one out. You did a marvelous job once again, just looks fantastic! That said, I know now from experience that if ever you are mildly annoyed at some area of design or if something is a bit tough for you, I’m really gonna have issues. I think the decals are unique, and they look awesome when applied correctly, buy I imagine I’m gonna be cussing them out like crazy. Can’t wait!
Can't wait to do the 12th SS 615 one, Looking forward to this to much
ha! never knew about the hairspray trick! now i know the only modeling supply item I can purchase at Walgreens :)
Looks great!
Andy makes modelling fun, not ardous like some facebook videos or magazines, it is just to have fun, is a plastic model what is made to make you have a good time.
I'm loving your work Andy I've been watching for a year and when I see a kit go together like the interior tiger 2 kit I notice the careful airbrush techniques well done mate with the build let's see what you build next ;:)
Excellent job and interesting model - well done as always 👍
Great Build Andy...thanks for showing off the Model. We expect it to arrive at our warehouse in Late January.
I used those zimmerit decals on a Sturmtiger recently and thought they were pretty slick. Nice “to-scale” zimm for sure.
Wow that's awsome great model but even better assembly and paint job really enjoyed this one and some great tips as well thanks.
Fantastic job
There is a solution to gluing the track, just prime the track at the join with Deluxe Products "tricky Stick". Then superglue grips perfectly. I have tried this with early impossible to glue Tamiya vinyl tracks and it works 100%.
Awesome, it came out incredible. Nice work as usual. Fun video!
A very nice model and a Super nice build 👏👏👍👍
23:13 That is how Panzer 4 should look like!
Zimmerit looks great.
Great video as always.
Nice one Andy, very nice indeed.
Very Cool Build on a another Cool Vehicle.
I buy clear from Texas from Andy and prices on some are a little higher, but for most part in stock.
looks good cnt wait to get one keep them coming Andy
Nice paint
Hi Andy, as usual a great vid and build, I already used the def models zim on a tiger, u can glue small parts that won't stay in place with Tamiya extra thin
Only the later Pz.IV ausf.H had zimmerit applied. The earlier H models did not i.e. Fruhe versions. Some Panzer units were using earlier H models during the Normandie campaign that did not have any zimmerit. Other than that this model which I recently built for a competition is very good in detail and I found the zimmerit to be just fine in it's application. Keep up the good work Andy.
loking good like em and will see more
This video at least gave me some cool ideas for the old Academy kit of this I have.
Im actually Working on the old academy Panzer iv h4 now. Its ancient, and it shows. still a good kit though
The only reason I’d go to Arizona is because of Andy’s hobby headquarters and Grand Canyon
I can add family and friends.
What about Hooters ?
What about tombstone and Tucson the cowboys dude the cowboys
You'll want a tour of Pima Air Museum and of the Boneyard at Davis Monthan.
I'm korean :) i like your channel,videos
Andy thanks to make this video!
Great stuff Andy Nice job Ive got the Wargaming Bug at the moment,So 15mm miniatures are my fave. But great to see a Large kit built and modelled well.
Nice build as always andy. Since i am not really keen about zimmerit, as it has been proven useless in Ww2 and the pin marks and minor things you mentioned, i still would stick with the tamyia kit. Plus the tracks did glue together on it as well
I HAD NO IDEA YOU WORKED AT A PLACE 6 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE
The Definition of Luck
@Michael Steinhoff i have nonein my island
Tracks? Toss 'em! Friullies!! Too nice of a model.
Nice kit but we'll see how those zimmerit decals work out (think I might build this and add my own zimmerit)? Enjoyed the build, really liked the weathering, good tip on the panel liner/road wheels. Thanks.
Great vid!
Love this kit, no problems whatsoever, I'm hoping Academy follow this one up with the Pz Kpfw IV Ausf J, the Dragon version is nigh on impossible to find at a reasonable price and the Tamiya version shows it's age now.
Wow, that tank looks exactly like the panzer iv on the background of my screen of my laptop.
its amazing
Don't really need another Panzer IV in the build stash but think I need to try this one. Nice looking kit though I'll bin the tracks.
More 1/35TH scale please, fewer 1/16. To me, they are cost prohibitive, and I prefer the 1/35 TH above all others. Love your videos, by the way!
Wow! Amazing work mate!
I will definetly wait for this kit over the current Tamiya kit. I am not firm in Zimmerit and I do not want to use those aftermarket stickers. Its a shame that almost no company adds some sort of Zimmerit decals to the kits. Thanks for showing this kit, Andy!
Btw, it was your videos that got me back into model building after I moved out from my parents home about 9 years ago... Thank you for letting me enjoy this hobby again. Keep up the good work!
FoxtrotWhiskey3 Dragon do a Pz IV Ausf H with molded on zimmerit and it is a beautiful kit.
I have build a couple of Dragon kits already, however it is always luck to get good ones. Some are horrible and others are really nice. What turns me off from those kits is this unstable quality for the very high price. Also in Germany there is not much choice for Dragon kits. I love Tamiya and Trumpeter kits most, however these rarely have any Zimmerit included and Tamiya sometimes not even PE parts for grills, etc. Such a shame... Tamiya kits would be superb if they just put in some PE parts and Zimmerit decals.
Super cooool.I like your video.
hi Andy, with the rubber band tracks, my local hobbystore guy Matt, recommended using a product called ZAP. Its a brush on super glue, Medium CA +. It's a great brush on superglue for your rubber band tracks.
Daryl Smith some rubber tracks won't even take CA glue.
Cool! 👍
Simple et efficasse comme d'habitude
Very nicely made! (English 101%)
Nice job Andy cant get any newer if they haven't made the box yet
Great looking kit,, but not all pz4 H's had zimmeritt as there were h's at Kursk which was before they issued zim in December of 43..
Other than that,,, a great looking kit! Keep up the good work Andy 👍
the tracks just heat up a flat head on the stove and melt the tracks together did it with a panther tank awhile ago and didn't do to bad. just enough to melt the pegs to get the tracks together
Good job Andy
I bought this kit when it first came out and I just recently opened it has anybody else been turned off at the fact that they put the knockout pins on the outside of the hull ?
What a nice video
I am in the process of building this. If I was to build it again, which is likely, I think I would apply the zimmerit decals early in the build. Some peices I would even apply before assembly. Also found that there was no instruction about drilling the mounting hose for the plate brackets. Overall it was an enjoyable build. I just wish Trumpeter made better instructions and in a book format.
Andy if you or anyone else gets that problem [with the tracks] it's almost always the release agent used on the mould. give em a good scrub with clean soapy water, let them dry and it _should_ be fine. The reason is a new generation of release agents used across a broad range of industries that a whole lot of industry peons (like me) are struggling to work with. if soapy water doesn't work try rubbing alcohol.
If approahed today i wonder if rubber bands would even be considered for recreating individual tracks linked together. Now they are too lazy to change.PE for authentic detail and rubber bands that look shit. You need an almanac to know what brand can take paint weathering, what glue, spoon heating,stapling,wiring......before they could kill a good kit,Now at least choic$$$$e has finally reared its. ugly head in aftermarket options.
I just remembered a cartoon when I was a kid the character is in front of the packet box
wow i like that zim
I like that your shop has an old school gumball machine
I second that; I’ve never had good luck with the rubberized tracks - they’re always one or two links short of a full tank, and gluing them works no better. 😢
They are rubber, so what happens is they shrink a bit over time. What you are supposed to do is heat up a pair of pliers and melt the two ends of the tracks together, then stretch them over the wheels.
Would love to see this done up as a Golan Heights Syrian variant.
갓카데미 ㄷㄷ
Are the shurzen amour plating removable from the sides or did you glue them?
Hi
Good job
What paints did you use for the camo ?
Thanks.
And I Alex year the panzer absolutely came out amazing I think you did a wonderful job on that tank what colors did you use for the camouflage and what air pressure did you have your airbrush back when you did the camouflage
7:50....well... finally what about the rubber track band? do you use aftermarket rubber band for it?
Hey Andy. How about a video on painting rubber tires on road wheels
Zimmerit that's easy to apply?
Not molded on so it looks natural??
What sorcery is this?!?
ive got a zimm approach.comes out like bendy ATAK,robust and peformed, easy no mess, simple.
stocks. Used in on a tiger 🐅 it hunts
Also putty with a lighter roller wheel.
@andy morris What the fuck
decals straight onto plastic - didn't know that worked
Hi Andy, Catching up on my CZcams list - As usual a great build. But I wonder, would not the back of the skirts and sides of the tank pick up more debris & grime than what your showing? Thanks again for another inspiring video build.
How did you paint inside of turret armour if the pieces were already in place?
Do you spray TS-80 directly from the can, or do you decant it and spray it through an airbrush?
i always use contact cement on one piece tracks
Amazing video! It look really really nice! Do you know if you will ever build smaller kit like à kubelwagen or soldier?
Very nice build, Andy. Can you build it with interior?
Hi Andy, great job! I’m ordering this kit and I’m checking out a detail-up kit from Mk.1 design. Do you think the zimmerit decals can be used on photo etched?
Panzer IV Ausf. H rarely had Zimmerit, but on the Panzer IV Ausf. J it was more or less standard...
