Is it permanently damage relationship with dwarf? Since they never forget?
there should be public order maluses to it--it literally can cause the wearer to kill themselves and drives them mad, public order negatives seem obvious

I really want the books of nagash to get the legendary treatment, make them a thing on map all factions can get, with the factions already focusing on it gaining more from the mechanic
in addition, those factions could be the only ones with detailed hints as to where they are
Since the Nemesis Crown was a story post storm of chaos the undead are gonna probably be one of the biggest focuses, I can see them bending the story a bit to have some form of nagash in the game that could slot in because nagash killed like 2-3 legendary lords to be revived

Taurox and the Sword of Khaine is why I wish the game let you give Quest items to other characters. The Rune Axes always end up sitting unused for me.

I'd love for the negative effects of the crown and the sword of khaine to be more narrative - like it forces you into war with enemy races at first, but then demands war with friendly factions as well unless you can keep it under control.
So The Nemesis Crown + The Sword of Khaine = Ultimate fun 😃
I would add regeneration trait/item to that mix and one man doom stack is a sure thing.

The Sword gives your character godlike powers + The Crown gives your faction godlike bonuses = total dominance
@@SliderFury1 If I'm not wrong, then Prince Arthas is a character from the Warcraft universe, and not from Warhammer. Not sure about which character from TTW you are thinking about. I was thinking more about Count Noctilus or some other Vampire Lord Character.
Mornin, dude. Thanks for keepin' us in the loop on the DLC. Looks like it's gonna be a banger with all the TLC for factions that needed it.
*_My God!_* Imagine this with Morghur the Shadowgave, Malagor the Dark Omen, or Helman Ghorst's already existing permanent damage aura effects. Armies would literally disintegrate around them!!! Since the Beastmen already spread chaos corruption, and they have ZERO upkeep for their armies, I imagine they'll be the most synergistic faction to use with this item. All the benefits with none of the problems.
Apparently the benefits of the Nemesis Crown are dependent on the faction you play. I saw on Loremasterofsotek's stream when he played Nurgle.
The title is giving me Shadow of War flashbacks...

Malus Darkblade with Sword of Khaine and Nemesis Crown.
When you are dieing,you just transform to Tzarkan and he gets more powerful. Like, kill me if you can,kill me if you dare.Then you become stronger.
He was the first one that came to mind for me too. That sounds terrifying.
malus is already pretty much unstoppable with the sword of khaine. i wiped out the high elves and nkari with just him soloing everything.
Dude this is going to be nuts to see on One Man Doomstacks, especially with both the SoK. SoK to absolutely smash single entities and the crown to ANNIHILATE the troops.

The nerf to casualty replenishment will make it so you have to fight every battle manually which maybe won't be the best experience... It looks incredibly strong but I feel like I don't see enough people talking about that part lol
Gonna be absolutely broken on Nurgle especially because they don't take damage at the best of times.
Right! It’s only good with one man doomstacks or single entity armies with good healing. Casualty replenishment is the most important thing in the game tbh, minus 30 percent is just too much.
Few races could hard counter the negative. Replenishment

With that strong of a mortis engine effect I doubt you'll really be taking many casualties anyway though.
If only Alaric had known about the existence of Cathayan Jade and Jet. They’re pretty much implied to be a non-evil purified version of warpstone. He might then have been able to make the crown out of one of them and have it work as he intended and without the corrupting properties.
Purification is far from complete with anything

I hope with the nemesis crown campaign we also might someday see a quest to the badlands for Fozzrik's Flying Fortress. Blood in the badlands was such a great campaign book

I like that they added a new super piece of gear to find. Ideally, they'd make 3 weapons, 3 armor, 3 enchanted items and 3 talismans, and then have a random one spawn on the donut, a random one from a different class spawn in the Empire, maybe one in Cathay and one in the thunderdome. That would be ideal for gameplay anyways - only 4 of the 12 items spawn in any one campaign (maybe include a slider to pick how many you want in case you want to have all on the field for a playthrough). I know random is less lore-friendly, but it's better for replay value. If they just have these two items, it's a little strange that they're so much easier to reach for certain factions vs others - the Empire and donut are pretty close to each other so anybody spawning near the edges of the map have quite the distance to travel if they want a shot at getting either piece of gear.
The more they add, the less they lose their value, their unique-ness. I would prefer books of nagash being unique and gather-able.
Can't wait to get the crown as Skarbrand.
With Khorne mechanic reaching max level for the crown could be extremely easy in early game.
I can't wait to get the Crown with Nikari. With Nikki's heal on unit destruction, his own mortis train effect, and his constant fighting.. its going to be glorious.

I kinda want to see Heroes of Might & Magic style interactive sites on the campaign map, myself.
Fight battles with it. Take seatlement. Recruit a lord. Put the army in the new lords army. No Replenisment penalties = PROFIT
I've never actually engaged much with the Sword of Khaine personally, but that's mostly down to me staying far away from the donut and its inhabitants whenever possible, so maybe this will be more of a factor for me, especially with the random starting location. Neat addition in any case - more variables are always appreciated.
I loved doing this quest line in the Immortal Landmarks mod
I wish they added Bugman as a FLC Ranger lord. Especially since he found the Nemesis Crown in the lore, beating every other seeker.
I don't know if you already considered this, but personally I would love to see a video detailling the changes for Dwarf units.
I saw a Gyrocopter Trollhammer in your video yesterday and I guess thats not he only Grudge Settler unit which is reworked.
We also know already that Brimstone Gyrocopters and Gyrobombers got a rework.
To me it seems this aspect of the FLC is very underreported at this point.
CA haven't released any of the dwarf vids yet. They are due next week.

The nemesis crown having more lore than the sword of khaine is quite understandable : While the Sword of Khaine was only ever a lore blurb in Elves Battletomes, The Nemesis Crown was a full on Narrative Campaign (with website participation and all), with a booklet of quasi-DnD rules to link battles narratively included in the White dwarf of that time .... I think I still have that booklet somwhere in my pile of warhammer books ...
Absolutely...LOVE IS! Flavourful as anything! Brilliant, really glad to see this go from a MOD to something official finally! I'd love to see a Sword of Khaine rework...I'm not sure how though? Let's bring it back to it's core for a second. The "Widowmaker, with no fixed form". THIS IS THE KEY. It doesn't need to be a sword, it can be a spell tome for magic users, an axe for warriors, a sword for master, A sceptre for rulers...maybe there is way to work it a bit like how ursun roars work where it can kinda "call out" to those most blood thirsty. I dunno I have no idea but THIS, this is boss. I love it.

Now this is the part of the DLC I was most excited for, really big legendary items to fight over are really fun. It'd be nice if they added just a few more. Maybe also a Runefang Rework would be nice because Crow-feeder and Leg-Biter are the only ones that actually have effects worth remembering.

You think taurox would be bad with the sword of Khaine and Nemesis Crown? What about the #1 most powerful dark elf Malus Darkblade. Who already can one man doomstack entire armies out of existence on his own without the sword. But to add that Mortus' engine effect onto his demonic Mortus Engine effect would instantly melt and incinerate every single enemy unit he fights.
Oh goodness. Skarbrand or Taurox with the Nemesis Crown and Sword of Khaine would be absolutely ungodly terrifyingly powerful.
i can imagine sealing the crown may be good if you can get it in the first few turns to boost building and recruiting. keeping it will become better pretty quickly if it doesn't drop in your lap though
With the right combinations of parts on Daniel the Daemon Prince, you can make your lord a tripple mortis engine

Should be around 33k hp.
Should make a few more of the random powerful and then let you create an archive to store them, showing you a new fancy UI. Gives you a feeling of being Thanos collecting stones

Speaking of player bias, I tried very hard campaign difficulty with Drazoath recently and got absolutely dogpiled super early in the campaign. I couldn't even send out convoys because Grimgor just killed them immediately. Looking forward to using the Nemesis Crown though, looks like a lot of fun!
Interesting that you can auto-resolve the battle for the crown. That’s not the norm for quest or item battles.
I probably won't be using it as an Order faction but as someone like Skarbrand it'll be very good

Ya know, with the path to glory system with chaos you could quite literally take your dude from a nobody to a dude strong enough to challenge all the chaos LLs.
Nice video! What do you think about CA taking away Karl Franz's greatsword and reiksguard upkeep traits? I personally am not a fan unless I'm mistake? I think the 20% upkeep reduction is cool for state troops but idk I'm sort of unhappy with that change made to him

Sure, everyone wants to do Skarbrand or Taurox with the Crown, but I'm looking forward to an Oxyotl campaign and some very spicy increased missile damage for army with this.
Honestly I think Total War Warhammer's Biggest mistep campaign wise was having mechanics that didn't add anything to the environment. Techs, buiildings, and mechanics were mostly internal affairs, with a few exceptions. Alot of the changes presented for this latest dlc seem to change that, and that does indeed put a smile on my face. Fills me with hope.
I wonder if the mortis engine effect of the crown will stack with morghur the shadowgave's mortis engine effect.

5:50 -20% replenishment hits hard tho, feel like I'd rather take the 8K at this point and let it comeback later. even the previous stage might be bad early on with -10%. Or maybe you want to have only your lord and maybe some single entities with a healer in the army and then it's fine
I assume it buffs approval for the race of the owner? I heard from some other content creator that it has different effects for different races.
I'd like an option for any new campaign to turn off the sword of khaine and the nemesis crown if you like to play a campaign without them

so like a random sword of Kaine. i still think it would be cool to have random buffs for random AI factions that come into play at different points of the early game to randomize the balance of different AI factions to change up each play threws threats

Norsca is already plenty stupid with the sword of Khaine.
However some factions still have common faction mechanics that still half baked such as hte lizardman's geomantic web because honestly I pressed that geomantic web button once and that is it.
I never put a hard push on reinforcing it as it only reinforced commandments which that in itself didn't feel impactful, I never had a battle decided on commandments, also Lizardmoses needs a rework because well, several times I had his entire faction quest break and glitch out due to despite killing the number of skavens for tier 3 of the pyramid, the quest failed to detect it, all skaven died.
Gonna be some wild one man doomstacks with this.
Also the Crown of Sorcery seems super weak now compared to this crown (The Nemesis Crown), the Greenskin have access lore of death from the river troll hag that was the only upside with the Crown of Sorcercy. So the Crown of Sorcery is quite redudant as well xD. Feels bad man for Nagash and his "power". Mannfred was right from his quote "Nagash was weak, witness true power" hahaha.
This update is going to be so much fun. Reworks plus DLC is just chef’s kiss

Once there's another one or two of these special items, they should add a hidden set bonus for having them all.
Something like Unbreakable for all armies, but every faction on the map declares war on you and makes peace with eachother. Maybe spawn a few armies for you too.

What I really want for sigmas is for factions to have a cultural map that acknowledges territories belonging to a culture. So when the slayer king conquers sylvannia I don’t have to trade half the worlds edge mountains just for eschen. Same with katarina

40-80 dmg mortis engine is crazy, as is the movement range after a battle.
Sword od Khaine has only the advantage of having less downsides for the army (but more for the faction) and it giving a shit ton of wardsave.
I don't mind it being powerful but I wish it had more downsides. Your own race actually liking you for picking it up feels stupid.
Not in the lore. In the lore it is said that Nemesis Crown will grant control over your fate, letting you be its master as well as the master of your own race.
The crown embodies the connection between the fate of the wearer and the fate of his people.
-30% replenishment is pretty crazy. Some factions don't have that much replenishment, meaning no healing for you unless you are stationed in a town and the crown wants you to keep fighting so yeah.

@@olafthemoose9413 You didn't catch what I was implying. I meant you'd have to fight a lot of battles manually which becomes very tedious very fast. I don't know about you, but I auto-resolve most of my battles after the early turns.

The diplomacy maluses honestly don't seem to make it worthwhile. Appears to be very much similar case as it was with Sword of Khaine where only beastmen really wanted it because none of the negative effects mattered for them.

I hope you get the option to turn the crown off in campaigns (similar to endgame crisis). Its bonuses seem like something you can easily get elsewhere (better combat for 1 unit) in exchange for things that are VERY hard to overcome (diplo penalties and replenishment). It feels like the old CA feeling of giving something a little cool (2 steps forward), then piling on limitations and costs (3 steps back).
Do you know when this officially launches and do you need to have the full thrones of decay dlc will I be missing out on anything if I do t buy the nurgle pack aside from the nurgle faction
