Lilith in Myth and History

  • Lilith is a name known everywhere in the world. When discussing the so-called “biblical” Lilith, most people can tell you that she was Adam’s first wife. Rarely, however, do they know where this tale comes from. Nearly everybody knows that piece of the story and those same people know that it’s also not actually biblical. The story of Lilith is a fascinating one and it spans much longer than one would think. From ancient Sumer to modern day America, the Lilith story has evolved to the point where it’s no longer recognizable. Today, I will be discussing the origins and evolution of the Lilith tale. From its simple beginnings to its esoteric present, this is Lilith in myth and history.

Thank you for presenting knowledge for the sake of knowledge. But that might also be the autism.

Hi i would be interested to know how the Hebrew word for Tree is derived as I have heard that the word can also be interpreted as "council" or "group" depending upon which context the word is used in. When the story of the "Tree of knowledge" is told in the synagogue in Hebrew how is it interpreted as seeing as you are Jewish then you should already know that "Council" or "Group" is more contextually a better fit and most probably the correct interpretation with "Tree" being a purposefully used misleading interpretation.
Can you shed any more light on this and how someone with an understanding of Hebrew would interpret this text knowing the alternative interpretations.

@Tommy Lynn then why was she Adam's first wife? El of the El'o'him which is pronounced Lil in Sumerian as in En'Lil (En = Lord & Lil = Air) is also one of the Lil'ith's making the God of the Old Testament also one of these Demons.
Interestingly the tale seems to imply that Adam was sterile/infertile and thus couldn't have children with these Lil'ith's, but being of a patriarchal society the tale is told that Lil'ith refused to be subservient to Adam and would not lie in bed with him. It is only after she refused El (En'Lil) to be subservient to Adam and chose to leave the Garden and take her chances in the wilderness that she began being called a "Demon". As it appears that anyone who opposes El (En'Lil) they suddenly become a "Demon". In Sumerian the rival "God" to En'Lil is known as En'Ki (Lord of Earth) and he is mankind's benefactor, who aids us and teaches us wisdom. Yet in the Old Testament he is known only as the "Serpent" and slandered as deceitful, yet it is El of the El'o'him who is deceitful as El did not want us to become enlightened by partaking of the Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, where we would gain the ability to know good from evil. Only someone who is evil themselves would be afraid of us gaining that increased intelligence.

With the high mortality of childbirth, you could perhaps see how the grieving family might make a villian of the midwife after the death of a loved one. As you provided nearly all the research for my novel i owe you a donation. Plus if you want to carry on a feminist thread. As an afterthought, considering your name and experiences, it may be that you are destined for collection at some point. It is wise to avoid giving into temptation, but it is possible your fate does not go that way. I remember the initial incident, decades ago that opened me up to her influence. I feel I was tricked, but that does not seem to have any bearing on how she took it. Failure to maintain purity of mind is something that she remedies. People do get pushed to the very edge of what they can endure, and can have everything taken from them. Most doctors just assume this is mental illness, but most doctors don't listen to the facts, they just observe, and refer to their diagnostic manual to choose a random drug. If you do find yourself driven through hell, and you do reach the point where you feel you cannot carry on, try to remember that her purpose is to strengthen you, and drive you closer to dropping all weakness. Never let go, always keep faith. Ignore atheists, once you have been through hell, failure to believe in your experience belittles it to such a degree that life is not possible afterwards. Always maintain your faith, never let go, and you will be protected. Things are never as bad as they seem; there is always a future. Material things are just a fiction, and material woes are equally fictitious. Your inner self is all that matters, and she wants you to be strong, that is why she puts us what she puts us through.

Lilith was male and female just like Adam was before he split into Adam and Eve. Lilith left with the fallen angels. Lilith was white, Eve was black. Children of Lilith do not have sins as the children of Eve. Eve came onto god with Adam sexually which got them cast out.

But does the bible give any information on where the non ^Eden^ originals, came from. Maybe there are undiscovered scriptures that have more clarity.

Do you have proof that it's not real? Dinosaurs once walked this earth so you can't knock fire breathing dragons as a possibility. Proof of Men and women almost 9ft tall. So you can't say the Nephilim story is far fetched. Aliens? Well that's another subject. Will see how you can debunk this first. Other then it was written by another human just as us.

I've dated plenty of Lili (thank the Gods). Otherwise I'd still be a virgin.

Very interesting. Madonna was or is a follower of the Kabbalah. She is also a high priestess in her Santana’s cult along with Beyoncé and many others

That Mike Skolas...the fella from Red Letter Media I reckon would dig you're Pazuzuz insights .You guys should like form a union or something ,The M.Y.C.C.U(Milwaukee CZcams content creators union).
Great video by the way it made me think of the way placebo works you know .Your not well some fella comes in and names the demon thats bothering you. That's the sort of thing that takes a weight off the mind and might just help you get better(unless they named the wrong demon ,then your obviously fucked).
