      MrYoWho - nice jod you do. I purched BREVILLE dehumidifier LAD500WTH but all it does is throws hot air. We have a large house which is old Queenslander. Any advice how to use in bedroom which is average size yet we were sweetting all night. It may be for bathrroms or where moisture builds up but i just wanted a clean air in parts of the house and good thing is that its portable. The way i was sold this product was for salesnmans comms but i could be not doing or using the features correctly. Any help would be appreciated and having lower body surgeries dont help. Thanks

    Just purchased a Breville LAD708WHT dehumidifier and air purifier and we're looking at returning it to the store because it's so bloody noisy that it's impossible to sleep with! We've contacted Breville customer support who have received a video recording of the freight train type noise being omitted from their state of the art (!) AUD$600 appliance! If Breville thinks that the freight train noise is acceptable, they're clearly kidding themselves and their users, the vast majority of whom couldn't sleep in the same room as this ultra noisy unit, even heavy sleepers! Our other air purifier from a competing manufacturer also makes some noise and even ramps it up briefly when necessary, but it's way quieter than this noisy Breville unit. Heck, even our 3.5kw split system in the same room is a lot quieter and that's saying something considering it's a much larger appliance. To say that we're disappointed is a complete understatement!

    • @MrYouWho
      @MrYouWho  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the Breville LAD708WHT dehumidifier and air purifier. It's understandably frustrating when a high-end appliance doesn't meet your expectations, especially in terms of noise levels which are crucial for a comfortable home environment. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and it's important that Breville is aware of these issues.
      It's good that you've already contacted Breville customer support and provided them with a video recording of the noise. This kind of direct evidence is often very helpful in getting a quicker and more effective response. I would suggest waiting to see how Breville responds to your complaint. If they recognize the issue as a defect or an anomaly in the product, they might offer a replacement, repair, or a refund.

    Hi Andy, thanks for your very helpful reviews. Am about to purchase a Dehumidifier and wanted to know which would be your first choice between the Breville or Ausclimate models you have reviewed? (or any others) We live in the Maleny hinterlands next to a rainforest forest, (similar to your previous place in Tamborine Mountain). Also considering the Ausclimate 50ltr all seasons and the Ionmax Ion 632 & the DeLonghi Tasaugo AriaDry Pure 21L... Really need something heavy duty to address the reoccurring mold issues we're battling, but like the idea of having something easily portable to have in our room at night with air purification (not too loud). Could you please share your wisdom and experience?

I could only get 10 but thankful there was any at all considering none left in stock online anywhere and I literally got the last one from Harvey N .. they sold 23 in less than 24 hours. • @ronsmate
    @ronsmate Před 2 lety +8

    Two observations watching your video, 1) are you Vin Diesel's love child ? and 2) you haven't explained the product very well. Your demonstration unit is the middle of the Breville range at just under $500-. First up, if you live in humid part of Australia or you have a local moisture issue, this unit is great. It's essentially a fridge drawing air across a condenser which creates a massive temperature differential, catching the moisture on the aluminum fins (just like a car radiator) and the drips run down into the collection tank. So it really is fit for purpose and works extremely well. On the down side, only deaf people will be able to sleep through the night with this on (even on LOW). Imagine a jet passenger plane taxing down the runway in your bedroom. Depending on the season, we run this for a few hours before going to bed. As for the air purification, you laud too much praise Vin. It has a fine nylon mesh filter and a foam filter not unlike the air intake on a home ducted air conditioner. if you want true air filtration, look at a Samsung AX5500K Air Purifier. The Breville will remove lumps from the air, it won't remove smoke and dust particles. The laundry mode is not for running it in the laundry. It's for drying your wet clothes as it expels warm to hot air as it extracts moisture. The other aspect to be mindful of is the size of the room and and any cross currents. This is one device that really needs exact fitting to the cubic measurement of your room otherwise it will struggle to lower the humidity to meet your expectation. Vin, I just wished your enthusiasm matched your knowledge.
