If people knew what was allowable in drinking water over past 4-5yrs.....
Extremely important topic!!
Big pharma. đ€źđđ€Ź
yes, and I learned the hard way - arsenic poisoned during sevre cvaids march 2020....vry important. I didn't know about the berkey yet. What a poop storm
Itâs true but it is purified if we use doctor Moro techniques we can change the taste I do it daily
We were on the same wavelength this week! I just doubled my water storage. Stay hydrated!
with electrolytes/minerals!
I have been following you for over a decade. I still love the high-quality vids you share, tyvm-Lisa
I appreciate your repy. This video took me a long time to edit :)
We decided that we didnât want to collect rainwater off of our asphalt tile roof. So we bought a tarp, two metal rods to prop up one end of the tarp, and two buckets to collect the water.
Do you filter it through a Berkey or something to filter out the chemtrails?
@@jac1161the Sawyer Mini
RAIN WATER ISNT AMY BETTTER , ITS CONTAMINATED BECAUSE OF THE CHEM TRAILS !!
I have neighbors that covered their tile roof with swimming pool tarps to collect rain off the roof anyway
People can live 2 weeks without water
Wonderful thorough video. Much appreciated. In my 80âs, live alone. Thanks to all preppers who share needed information in any emergency situation.
You popped into my living room... happy to say ...please stay awhile..
Thanks for having me
This is why I've been stressing water. It's pretty easy to go through water very quickly.
18 months ago in my area of Florida, our water plant was hacked. Arsenic and other chemicals were dumbed in our water. Luckily, the SINGLE man who not only adjusts the chemicals but is also responsible for checking the outside, was running late, and saw the chemicals change. He was able to shut down the water, and of course the water authority was called and the police came around telling everyone NOT to drink the water. We get online alerts as well. Now, we have 2 guys each shift... đ
After hurricane IDA we were without water for a few days. Learned a whole lot during that time!! I live a block from a bayou. Was carrying buckets for flushing!!
holy MOLY. I remember finding you randomly when you had a couple hundred followers. I can't believe you have 70k now! Congratulations!!!!
Thanks
Well-presented information and recommendations. You consistently provide solid content. Thank you!
Thank you for this information. Safe water is something we all take for granted in this country. I believe it is our greatest vulnerability. Thank you for showing various sources that we should identify.
Flint?
Flint was so sad. Near me we have PFAS contamination.
Excellent advice. Thank you for sharing this information.
Another thing that I have is a water test kit. It has 10 tests in it and it tests for all kinds of things, including chemicals, that can contaminate my water. If I have to boil water, I will still test it to make sure it's safe for consumption.
Good tip
such good and practual advice we should all be practing this
I take old 2 liter soda bottles & fill them up with water. Then I put the date on them with a small label. Theyâre stronger than a gallon jug and lighter for me to carry.
Thank you. The concerns I had you clarified for me. Awesome channel đ
Happy to help!
Very informative. Thanks for sharing...
Brilliant video. Thank you! đđ»đđ»

WELL DONE!!
Thank you for the information đ
Thanks for the info!â€đ
Thank youâ€
Ee've been vollecying water from an artisan well and it tastes great. The best water i've ever had. We do not filter or boil. Feel fortunate to have found it.
Ty as always!
First time I watch this video, very useful for me, thanks for sharing it. God bless you

Love your shirt đșđžâïžđșđž water prep so very important! Thanks!
Hello from Luxembourg đ±đș
Great video with wonderful tips!
Thanks for that great video (like always)
Martin
Thanks!
I love my Big Berkey. My ex mother-in-law gave us her old one when she got a bigger one and I have 6 extra filters. She also gave me 4 new Berkey Black filters. Iâm set!
It taste metallic. Donât rid of fluoride. They have no test to prove. Zero water have science backed up
be sure to use the arsenic fluoride reducers
There's a way to treat 10,000 gallons of water for pathogenic microorganisms that costs between $10 - $20, called Calcium Hypochlorite.
It's a much more stable form of bleach. Liquid bleach is only good for 6 to 9 months before it returns to salt & water. Calcium hypochlorite is stable for up to 10 years, when stored properly.
It's the active ingredient in POOL SHOCK. Get one that preferably has at least 70% calcium hypochlorite.
The military sometimes uses calcium hypochlorite to treat unknown sources of water out in the field & in 3rd world countries where clean water is scarce. You can find info on how to create the correct ratio for treating water online.
i think i would use vinegar to sanitize a bottle and i would also say its a good idea to have a "key" thats used to turn on water spickets that are on the outside of commercial buildings in an SHTF. Remember also, that one gl of water per person per day is only for drinking. it doesn't account for cleaning and hygiene.
Good tip
always good information. I would suggest adding one thing to your water mapping...once you find the water..how are you getting it home? what is you have to walk. Are you dipping 5 gallon buckets into a lake and are going to carry it home? its not light. Give it a try and see how to best get it home. :) I am on well, it's a deep well and there is only 1 manual pump company which makes a deep water pump (that I know of). so we installed that, works great, but it's not easy to pump..
good tip. Wheelbarrow?
can you say which co. that is that makes the pump?
The company I think is Bison. Search google and CZcams.
Also look at the Itehil RO portable, solar compatible, water system. Great value for what it offers.
Great video! BTW, your hair looks particularly pretty in this video đ
My hair has a mind of it's own...
My view of the bottled water is that it's great for short term outages and for getting you a jump start on other purification methods. We don't drink the small water bottles regularly, so they aren't something that we could really rotate through. I tend to store larger bottles of water. If we get a boil advisory, we can drink our stored water while we use other methods to make our water safe to drink. It's much easier to store 2 or 3 days of water than it is to store 2 weeks of water. We're a family of 3, 3x14 is 42 gallons (nearly 160 liters) that's a lot of water. Three days is only 9 gallons (34 liters) much more reasonable.
Didnt know any of this ...đ
Did you install the water hand pump in your basement yourself? If so can you show how? Our basement well looks similar to yours đ
No. Our well guy did it
I'd like more info about your hand pump. I have a pressure tank in my basement. Back up power available, but a 3rd option would be great. đ
Could you explain your basement hand pump or do you have a video on this? Thank you.
Every time I can I shove in two or three quarts of water. I also bulk buy those huge ones every two weeks. Save water in old milk jugs for toilet flushing , plants etc. you need a gallon a day per person in your house ( pets and animals too)
The problem is coming from multipe angles, all at the same time.
Should keep peroxide and iodine on hand for first aid.
My second son,the youngest, 20 plus years ago, told me he was concerned about our water and electric systems being attacked, some day. And these big shots are just now thinking.
can use use pond water that is stagnate thank you
you should run it through a filter...berkey is best because it does't require electric!
If you filter it with the proper camping type filter
Do you know if it is necessary to boil the water before filling emptied and sterilized wine jars? I get the jars from neighbors and friends and this I have been boiling the water before I fill the jars.
Not necessary
@@PrepperPotpourri Thank You so much for your quick reply. I am so grateful to you for this reply. You have saved me so much time.
Dehydrated water is the answer for all your prepping needs!
I figured you were on a well?
Yep
I'll be happy to sell you dehydrated water!... It's invisible, so just add a gallon of water for instant rehydration. đ
Does anyone here use a water distiller? If so, where did you buy it or how did you make it?
I use the sim pure reverse osmosis system and I bought a meter to test my water. It's simple to use, filters aren't that expensive To replace and it filters 99.9%. It also uses a uv light as part of its filtration.
Also I bought the countertop system in case city water is not available such as power outage.. Portable allows you to fill from any source vs direct feed system that uses the water that comes your house. It uses such a small amount of energy that my solar generator has no problem running it with a lot of room for more.
Iâve been using a Distiller for years - itâs disgusting to see the thick residue which builds up from the tap water - makes you see why itâs so important to use it though. I bought them online. Takes about x 4 hours to filter the jug. Then I put some into a copper jug - tastes even better!
RoseRed Homestead mentioned one time filling up empty mason jars. Is this safe?
When I run my canner if not full, I'll and jars with water and can it. Sometimes I'll run my canner with a full load of water. I have city water every 6 months they change the chlorine they use. At that time my water is really BAD.
Yes, it is and not long ago canning water was recommended for a few reasons: full canner load, emergency water, keep all canning jars filled since they're being stored anyway. Canned water keeps your jars clean and the water can be poured into the canner as jars are needed. I'm sure there are more reasons but those are what come to mind right now. OH, glass does not break down like plastic water bottles.
yes
@@PrepperPotpourri do I need to sterilize them first?
Yes and clear glass or plastic can have water filter through a towel placed into it, left in strong sunlight for a day or two, and be sterile. Called SODIS. Requires NO inputs
We canât live in fear , we have guys working in our favour,
What does that mean?????
Um, you do you. I trust no one to come to my rescue. I prep now then when shtf happens I donât live in fear. Fear to me is not seeing something coming and not being prepared for it.
Our drinking water what is already strongly polluted with fluoride and other toxic chemicals?
Yep so trust in God's protection. He's protected us from the government willful poisoning us.
Are plastic containers safe?
no, but in emergency, you just do it
No plastic isn't safe because it's full of chemicals to melt recycling of old plastic. It leches into the water. Hence why plastic water bottles have expiration dates.
Best to save your water now from the faucet into glass bottles. I have started cleaning out my sauce jars and keep them for water. Instead of, giving it for recycling garbage.
They need to be PFOA free otherwise the plastic toxins leach into the water, especially if subjected to sunlight. Theyâd be ok as long as theyâre not used for internal consumption.
đđđđ
You ever wonder why the government doesn't install inline water testing sencers in every households pipes ? Because the fix has not came to the market yet. Just giving another great fix idea out to the world. Enjoy !
The water in the toilet đœ water tank is absolutely NOT drinkable!!!!
why ?
you need water for more than drinking. keep the tank water for sanitation, hygiene, gardens, fire, etc. Never ever waste ANY water in an SHTF.
www.fema.gov/press-release/20210318/fact-sheet-how-make-your-water-safe-drink
It is a prepper myth so thanks for mentioning it. However take the toilet water and boil it or SODIS it if you are in a water short area. The water tank is generally also treatable but most are heavily contaminated
No brainer.
using Pur pitchers with filters you could drink lake, runoff, or river water, add the correct amount of chlorine, iodine, or evaporation recycling to remove the bacteria and you will be fine.
Enough fear ... please just tell us
I looked at my local Walmart ,for old school iodine. They don't carry it wtf.
Try drug stores or look online.
You forget the 3 best.
1. Kolloidalt silver
2. Destill it
3. Let a fresh tree do it. Can not explean. Sorry. Have to show. But it is that the tree drink it and filter it for you. Then you get it on the other end.
Can you show it, then? It is very interesting.

Yeah, these are all 'nice' but impossible for someone living in a small apartment in the city. So bless your hearts if you have access to these things. The rest of us will die.
Just make sure you have a good water filter
@@PrepperPotpourri what do you recommend?
The Berkey is âgravity fedâ so doesnât require electricity -just get a few extra filters for it - the more you can afford the better! I live in Northern Ireland & found thereâs a British version of the Berkey which is cheaper for us. There are videos on CZcams of how you can make one yourself for very little, if youâre âgood with your handsâ!!
Your talent is in cooking and you should show it on the khal.

lmao
there was a comedian from the 70's that told that joke, he followed up with that he didn't know what to add to it for rehydration!

I have NO extra space except for my van to store water. Think about all the Americans who live in 500 square feet paying $1400 per month and working like slaves to pay it. Letâs get REAL.
