The question asked was- How do we handle desires when we are surrounded by so many attractive things in the world?
Om Swami says that the problems are not due to all the things around us but with our desires. The main reason for unhappiness is due to a person not being happy and satisfied with what one has. People have to ask themselves if the thing they desire is really needed. Om Swami says that if a person desires something then they should satisfy their desire. Otherwise, the attraction towards that will always remain. He says that it is not bad to be attracted towards something and that that there are only two ways of getting the better of desires. One is to elevate their consciousness in such a way that they contemplate on the harm that their desire could cause and rise above it, and, the second way of ending their desire is to get what they desire. That will end the attraction towards it.

He used to speak in Hindi formerly..and had little-sized hair-- on scalp as well as facial hair.. didn't groom himself as much.
But then some "modern-minded" people started taking him less seriously..and as a matter of funny way..just another village sadhu, out there.
So he has to play his plush card, from time to time, of his neat foreign accent, liberal views, glowing appearance, and the rest.. including ofcourse, his MBA from Australia, and materially lucrative business career.
This is good too. 💖🌹❤️

What he is saying about getting rid of the desires (after enjoying them to extreme) is quite resembling with what Osho used to say. Although Osho emphasized it for sexual desires (finally attaining complete celibacy) but it extrapolates to many things in life. When I didn't feel like studying before, I would intentionally stop studying for one day and the next day I could jump over the lessons and gobble them up right away. And his first statement 'what is hidden automatically generates infatuation for itself' quite well explains the sexual assaults against the women in conservative societies, where women are forced to hide themselves under thick outfits so that a man doesn't get turned on seeing her. Osho said that in the era of Christian extremism in Europe, when the women were forced to veil them up, a man just even seeing her toe would feel sexually turned on. Which is incredible as well as a quest for thinking. No doubt why rich people eat less, married people don't suggest others to get married and so on.
