Gracias hermano, obrigaduuuuuuuu
Yet again, the KEXP live versions are even better than the studio versions. Your sound engineers deserve a medal for services to music.
Também acho, sempre tenho essa preferencia. O sintético da computação tira o orgânico das musicas.
This my favorite version of hot penny day for that exact reason.
ENGLAND!!!! FUCKIN ROCK N ROLL.
Same in the old days with the Peel Sessions
Bang on mate 😊
i could listen to tom play guitar forever man his riffs are so unique
in a parallel reality where sonic youth never existed, but yes...
agreed, I really dig his style
Cha cha
Dry Cleaning are one of the coolest bands around. Every single song is just that great!
YES
Viagra Boys, Gilla Band and Dry Cleaning back to back to back. Fuck yes, KEXP. Fuck yes. Spoiled absolutely rotten this week
Yeaah
I’m not if I should call it “acting” but I love the facial expressions and the body language that she gives as she speaks every line. It adds to the overall performance and takes me to any hypothetical situation that the out of context lyrics originate from. It was probably what made their show so good when I saw them live a few months ago! Great performers! Love this band!
Even when she's still and deadpan it's a captivating performance
They got it
Yeah I was mesmerized when I saw them. She has a very unique stage presence
“If you’re rich you look good .. that’s not news” … a simple but very effective lyric
“Anna Calls From the Arctic” is one of my all time favorite songs. It always makes me stop and take in the moment whenever I listen to it.
Anna Calls From the Arctic is simply sublime
That's my favorite one from this album too, but I much prefer their previous ones.
I love this band so much. They’re so humble and seam very passionate their music. Every member have their own sound but it all come together to make something beautiful and awesome
god i love this band so much
Love that guitar tone!!
Love Larry's energy and questions. Great interview.
Gary Ashby goes so hard
nice to seem them back on KEXP. A great sound evolution is felt since its first performance.
anna calls from the arctic was wild, absolutely needed that tonight. ty KEXP and Dry Cleaning
That bass goes hard
YESSSS!!!!
Being sucked in again
I love 'No Decent Shoes For Rain' so much ! So darn good, great band
one of the only bands I’ve ever seen live :)
Fantastic Band !
wow they really chose the best tracks off the album for this (would’ve loved liberty log too!)
I saw them last june in Primavera Porto. It was a scorching sun, no shadows, I was sweating but what I saw was brilliant. Just incredible. I can hardly wait to see them again in August in Paredes de Coura.
Have been binging their live performances at work over the last few days, so I'm definitely glad to get to hear more so soon. And KEXP's last one being my favorite of their live shows so far :)
kexp live sessions are great, It would be great to see a live quicksand session
I really love this band❤... I hope to see them in live performance someday
Great band. I really enjoy the quirky world they create with their songs and performances.
best new band, period
Could listen to Hot Penny Day forever
This is absolutely bussin. Guitarist is insane, new fan here
I know Florence and Tom get a lot of praise (and deservedly so!) but hot diggity damn does that rhythm section live in the pocket.
I recently went to see dry cleaning in Buenos Aires Argentina. it was fantastic
What a great interview BTW!
dry cleaning i adore youuu
Dan is a great addition to the band. They all seem like genuinely nice people. I wish them great success… whatever that means to them.
Really want to see these guys live.
Reminds me of Protomartyr. Cool bands both of them.
Long life to Dry cleaning🙌🙌🙌
Love them ❤
Truly wonderful. Thank you 💚
what the hell how did i miss this. love dry cleaning, their last KEXP show got so many views from me! bless!
this music is so villanelle
Flo channels the spirit of Villanelle she's part Phoebe Waller-Bridge, part Jodie Comer.
So bummed I missed them! And at the Neptune too 😩
oh my god yes!!!! i love them. very excited.
LOVE the Saccharine Trust sticker on the 12 string. That band is mad underrated
Very very very cool music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎶💯💥😎👍💥💯🎶
KEXP how can you just keep getting better with the production and guests...
Greg sage and the wipers are awesome. I love what Tom does with his sage influence. Similar energy to their 84 live tour record
Increíble que los voy a ver en Argentina dentro de poco
Bravo, love the instrumental like smooth delivery of the instruments....... and the angular, aukward yet sublime vocal style.
MAGICAL 😍
Love the presenter's expression-he looks like a young boy who has sneaked into an empty sweet shop.
Second guitarist rocking a Squire Jaguar. Nice!
Getting strong _played less notes and left more space_ Velvet Underground vibes. Great performance.
Great songs!!
saw them in Paradiso, AMS. last gig of their EU tour... such a blast!!
I love this band so much!! ❤❤❤
Oh I'm liking the band, especially the guitarist. I just wished vocalist mic levels were up just a touch.
The vocals are way too loud. Listen to the way it's mixed on Einstein On The Beach or Sonic Youth or anything similar. The way it is here totally ruins the mix and all the instruments sound wrong
I don’t know how long they will last because the balance between all of them is so fragile, it’s almost impossible. I’m such a huge fan. Long live Dry Cleaning ❤️❤️
Brilliant both on record and live
yes!!!! 💝
Don’t l know if they -play on this set… first Liston.. love it and Bless my Farther he died this morning 1930 -2023 . Love you Dad
Demais! Chega mais aqui no BR que a gente vai! 🎷
Eles tão vindo pro C6 Fest em São Paulo. Tô bem animado!
They're really lucky to have Aquaman as the Bass player
they have Deathstroke as the guitar player too!
Robot from Invincible on the drums
@@DailyNihilismnow we need one for Florence ha
they´re lovely
complete satisfaction!
See you in Argentina!!!
let’s goooo!
amaZING
gilla band and now dry cleaning? let’s gooo 🎉
I love this shit!!!
F==king awesome!
Wish they'd turn that Prophet 6 up just a little more! And the drummer doubles on Tenor Sax?! Oh Shiiiiit :P
love u dry cleaning 🧡🧡🧡
"I've seen your arse but not your mouth. That's normal now"
Brilliant!
Sound Engineers ....tksssssd
I love this band so much it’s insane. I never loved a band that much since the smiths and it’s a big coming out
Yeah
Great t-shirt on synth! 😁
So fucking good.
epic
Saw them last July, they were fantastic! Great people! Not a big fan of stickers on guitars but that Saccharine Trust one on the 12 string goes hard.
Tom = Master
Thanxxx for Dry leaning, they're FANTASTIC 💙💀🤡💚
Fucking brilliant…genius 😘🇿🇦🏴
❤

Love this band. And u ain't LIVIN' til u hit a sandwich w/ some red wine vinegar.
One of the rare occasions when the vocals are actually too low .
it happened on their very first EP if I'm not mistaken, in later releases the vocals were mixed properly.
Still sounds good though 🙂
Viagra Boys yesterday and now this
Wonderful !! What would be the pedal effect for the bass guitar on the second song? (Hot Penny Day)
Envelope
@@georgespencer3973 thank you!!
our band is extremely influenced by these guys. they are amazing
your music says otherwise 💀
De lo mejor que he escuchado el último tiempo
cuando arranca a cantar? parece que lee el prologo de una novela😄
Florence Shaw is so important to this band. She has the quirkiness of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and the charisma of Jodie Comer.
I think of her as Kim Gordon's younger English cousin.
@@MothGirl007 that is the laziest, sexist comparison possible. They sound nothing alike!
@@harrisonkadwit3151 It's not sexist, it's a comparison of presence and charisma within adjacent genres
Should I propose friendship?
Sue Tissue has been ressurected
I love how this sounds weirdly nostalgic for the nostalgic memories of 90s that I DON`T ACTUALLY HAVE, lol. By the way, if someone playing these kind of music and needs a decent drummer, I would love to record a bunch of drum tracks for free, haha
ah yes Dicks burgers, a Seattle institution. I remember it fondly from the late nineties.
With all do respect, you guys need to try and get Dunsin Oyekan. He will blow the roof off the building and deliver uncontrollable music shivers (thats what I call the feeling when a band executes perfect build-ups and climaxes that give you that tingling feeling that goes up and down your spine). Thank you.
La mujer perfecta ❤
They sound very much like the 80s band Pylon.
